The best restaurants in Meath

05/07/2025: Best Italian food I've had in Ireland, there can't be more than a few places on this level and half them are probably €150pp Michelin stars. You enjoy it more as food is perfectly home cooked with TLC and top ingredients and flavour and it's actually healthy Mediterranean food without cheap chemicals and oils etc typical of modern "food". Digests really well and you feel great even after having a big feed and dessert too. Server was really nice and the chips were perfectly crispy and made from a nice potato. Pizza was custom ordered and very very nice. One of the nicest pizzas I've had. The bourbon vanilla soft serve Italian ice cream and (I forgot the name of it but basically soft pastry wrapped desert with light whipped cream) was very very good I enjoyed the small homemade and very tasty desert more than a big bowl of cheap ice cream which is only chemicals frozen milk and sugar. Bit pricey but it's actually fair for the service and quality of food and ingredients. You just need to know what you're getting and that it is a premium dining experience. With soft drinks, 2 desert, chips and a 12 inch custom pizza between 2 people and a few euro tip to round it the meal came to 50 which was well worth it. Definitely will be back for special occasions.

06/06/2025: Tried Cesare’s for the first time tonight and was really impressed. The food was full of flavour and felt genuinely Italian. We had the pasta and Pizza and it was cooked perfectly. The staff were really friendly and made us feel welcome right away. Cosy atmosphere too, great spot for a relaxed meal out. Will definitely be back!

24/05/2025: Was a bit disappointed with my visit. Staff abrupt, when we asked what cakes they had was told just what's in the counter ... Lol we had to get up to walk around and see (I mean yeah ok not precious but would expect you to be able to tell me what's available!). Yeah just overall disappointed. One positive is the table next to us had a BLT and it looked amazing.

24/05/2025: The cafe is extremely pleasant in a quiet location. The food is all homemade by the owner operator. The staff are superb, friendly, and accommodating. Service is prompt, and the prices are very reasonable. The design of the location in terms of seating inside and outside, when weather permits is excellent. I highly recommend it.

02/07/2025: I come here once in a while for a glorious cheat day. It’s very clean most of the times, and if a table happens to be dirty staff will come out and clean it immediately if you ask. Food is very good and freshly made. The one time I got a cold burger, they made a fresh new one and offered apologies! Staff is very friendly and easy to talk to, always with a big smile on their faces when serving you. One time I jokingly complained about prices and the cashier (tall with a beard) mentioned the app which has coupons for some offers. Thank you very much for that! I didn’t know about it!

24/06/2025: I am so disappointed with the way you are going with the food folks, both with the portion and price. A handful of chips hidden under a fish. PLEASE get back to basics and forget the nouveau cuisine crap. Try a portion of mushy peas maybe, and DEFINITELY another handful of chips and you might justify the price

20/08/2025: Proper chips, and they always arrive hot and fresh. The southern fried chicken is so good really well seasoned crispy coating and the chicken is never dry. Fast delivery plus they do a €2 bottle of chipper vinegar :)

09/08/2025: Absolutely fantastic chipper. Normally open late. Food is always fresh and what a lovely bag of chips you get. Great staff which are very friendly.

20/08/2025: Brilliant and spacious bedrooms, lovely and friendly staff and great bonus being able to use the spacious kitchen, and the dinning room was well set up and spacious. The lounge was very comfortable and cosy, very clean and tidy.

13/06/2025: Went for the Sunday carvery, it was perfect. Cost efficient, casual, friendly staff, feels comfy. Place could use a lick of paint but I refuse to hold that against them. Want a carvery on a Sunday you can't go wrong.

16/07/2025: Nothing to complain about. The staff is top-notch. The hotel has a lot of charm. The comfort is there. And the food is truly delicious!!!

04/06/2025: This is a little gem up a lane way just off the Bull(or the Square as we locals knew it!) and behind AIB. The whole place is exceptionally clean including the bathroom. They have a great variety of homemade food on the menu, everything fresh and tasty at very reasonable prices. Great friendly service. I'm glad to see more and more people becoming aware of it's existence. No queues, music at a low level, this place is a little oasis where you can have breakfast, lunch or drop in for excellent coffee and homemade cakes. Highly recommend.

22/08/2025: I think I had the best cheese burger I have ever tasted. Very polite staff. Quick service. I feel mean only giving the atmosphere 3 stars but its a burger van with outdoor seating. It's a place to sit when its not raining. There is nothing wrong with it (clean and plenty of bins nearby) but it is a place to sit not a place to party. You go for the burger they create, you create your own atmosphere

22/07/2025: Just popped in for a takeaway coffee this morning with my son and delighted I did. Coffee was gorgeous and not overpriced at all like some places are. Lovely touch leaving cookies out on the side for people and the loyalty card they offer is really good as you don't need to buy 10 coffees to get a free one. Really clean and welcoming service. The food people were eating while we waited for the coffee looked lovely and really fresh too. Will definitely make it our coffee stop when shopping in Aldi again.

08/08/2025: My family and I stumbled upon this little gem on route to a different place. Setting is really nice inside with vintage bits and bobs throughout. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was just beautiful. We had the turkey and ham, lasagna, chicken goujons and the mixed grill. All prepared fresh and piping hot. Well worth a visit!

01/08/2025: Food was delish! I do always miss their thai chicken curry from their old menu but I had a bacon cheese burger and sweet potato fries and it was very tasty!

13/06/2025: I love going to PIMT Cafe! It has a lovely atmosphere, the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly, and the scones and coffee are absolutely delicious! 10/10 🥰

08/03/2025: I can't say anything negative about the shop, the staff are always friendly, efficient and chatty. The store is in a very convenient location, about 30s away from the bus stops for the 111. The prices are quite good comparing to competitors. The coffee is of good quality and they have a good variety of drinks and alternative milks
