12/11/2025: I would give Henry Loughran 5 out of 5 stars. If I were to summarise: this is a great spot if you’re in Navan, want a friendly, social bar with live music options and a bit of character. For a relaxed and fun bar‐experience it hits the mark. My Tips For Visiting If possible, go before the peak evening crowd (earlier in the evening) to grab a good seat in the beer garden or near the bar. Check whether live music or events are on that night — it can add a lot to the experience. Ask about any drink specials (local craft beers, etc) — staff are friendly. Since it has strong character and heritage, take a moment to appreciate the history of the place (the building dates from the late 19th century).

26/07/2025: If you are looking for a traditional pub, not a place that is all bling and no atmosphere, Henry’s is by far the best place in town!

07/12/2025: Crystal has been out no.1 choice in Navan for the last two years but today unfortunately we had an extremely disappointing experience. I understand it is a Sunday at brunch/lunch time but it took over 30 minutes for our food - a fry and soup and a sandwich. I ordered the turkey ciabatta special which came with chips and side salad. I also ordered a cup of soup. When our food finally arrived, there were no chips on my plate. Just soup and a side salad. I thought oh maybe because I asked for soup, it was substituted. As we were in a rush we ate our food (fry was cold and soup was tasteless unfortunately) and when I went to pay I queried if my chips had been substituted when I heard the price. I was told no as it was €13.50 even if you didn’t get the sides, that it is all inclusive of the special. I was shocked by this as I didn’t get chips. I was told they could bring them now but as we were already in a rush I declined. I do understand that a special is a special, but I do find it ridiculous to not get a part of it and still have to pay when you don’t get it. Overall, very disappointed with our experience and it will be a while before we return, if at all.

09/10/2025: Had the bruschetta for starter ,bread was burnt on bottom unfortunately so couldn't finish The rest of the meal was nice ,service good ,seemed a bit weird that it was a sicilian restaurant and most of the pictures on walls were of Venice perhaps Pics of Sicily harder to get

15/12/2025: As don't worry there was just a privately thing wrong on my room if I'd couldn't ever again get my truly from county that truly most mean it and of where it was been living is Meath warnings and should of navan samely meant a lot to it as what on a brokenly fromly expected on yous as that my fromly county really has one my adulthood one as really really truly did

29/08/2025: Always love staying here, big spacious rooms, comfortable beds and pillows, great food, and very accessible from where im working without the problems of major traffic, and Ashbourne is a beautiful place also.

08/02/2026: Two stars for the food and the front staff. Avoid the mango lassi. When we complained about the lassi, the chef/owner came screaming outside to see what the complain was. He came out screaming ‘what do you want in the lassi’. When we took the same tone with him, that’s when he lowered his voice and apologised and then changed the lassi. I wouldn’t highly recommend this. You can choose Cinammon Bazaar in Ashbourne or even Mehfil in Coolmine. Avoid this restaurant at all costs. Hope this review reaches the owner.

12/02/2026: Absolutely divine! I got the chicken biriyani and it was so chalk full of flavour, the naan bread...omg I would go there just to get 10 of them! I even loved their mint yogurt sauce and usually I hate that stuff! My starte was the Allo Tikki which I know I live, spicier than the ones I've tried before but still delighted. If I had to pick an area I did not like, It was their desserts, My body doesn't agree with nuts or dairy for the main part, I'm also allergic to the cold so I can't really eat ice cream so it would be nice to have a cake or bun or something of the sort added to the dessert menu, even if its just some dressed up biscuits. However, they do have some unique desserts that others might love. (The toilets were also spotless which I always see as a plus!!) Already planning our next trip

22/12/2025: Great food, great service, great atmosphere

28/11/2025: We booked a table at Jack's for a family dinner with a visiting family member. Unfortunately this happened to coincide with the recent soccer match between Ireland and Hungary. We were seated quickly, but found the service to be very erratic. One of the servers could not understand the difference between orange juice and orange squash, and lied when he said he had provided orange juice. The food was, well, adequate, I've had much better fare elsewhere. However the main problem was the noise from the bar, far too much shouting and screaming. The staff insisted on keeping the door between the bar and the restaurant open, hence the excessive noise. As I said the service was erratic, simply because the staff seemed more interested in the soccer match rather than the customers, they were all young people, I couldn't find or see anyone actually managing the staff. We were all disappointed and certainly will not be returning.

15/02/2026: What a wonderful place! It's very atmospheric. A wonderful display of antiques. The room is decorated in a vintage style: no plastic, just metal and wood! The food prices are more than reasonable. The meat dishes were excellent! The only issue was the fish was a little watery, but that's a minor detail. Five stars, definitely!

11/10/2025: I was sitting down mooching loitering melt ashborune and a dog walks in barking and a kid is is crying over a stupid ice cream crepes we're to warm burnt me then I go to order and see that the line is out the door with one worker horrible to much chocolate on the crepes it's a really horrible shop and I hope it improves so on thanks xx

12/09/2025: The coffee shop is really cosy and clean. I loved the seats and coffee is great. Gelato also seems good. But I would like to say that the music was really horrible. I think a coffee shop in Ireland shouldn't be playing Latin American music. If it was Italian music it would make sense as Gelato is from Italy. But I think a sooth chilling music is the best for the atmosphere.
