The best restaurants in Waterford

05/06/2025: We got got to experience what a true Irish pub is like. Melisa and Martha’s hospitality alone is worth our return. The environment was perfect (and clean). The best bonus is THE FOOD!!! The best food we ate in all of Ireland! I wanted to finish my plate so I could get a cheer from Melisa, but the space I needed for the Banoffee Pie was more important!! Waterford will always be on our itinerary solely because of The Grattan Bar!

05/06/2025: First of all, the hosts are just simply brilliant , second, food that they make is delicious . I had a prawns salad, and it was just great. Very friendly atmosphere , would recommend it 100%

02/06/2025: Managed to avoid the lunchtime rush by pure luck, and stumbled across a gem! We were in and out within 45 minutes for lunch, sharing a falafel dish and a bbq cauliflower dish. Both were excellent, delicious vegetarian meals and good portion sizes, and didn’t break the bank either. Served us super quickly, and we went up and paid at the bar at the end too. Would recommend!

28/05/2025: I visited here during a midweek trip to the Viking city and stumbled across Momo Restaurant. The lady at reception kindly offered me a table which I was not expecting as the restaurant was very busy. The menu is varied and there's something for everyone and ultimately I ordered the pan fried hake with mussels, green veg (broccoli and asparagus) served with a side dish of roast potato. The hake was cooked to perfection and there was a generous portion size of 2 fillets. The veg and accompanying sauce were also delicious. The potatoes deserve a place on the menu by themselves. The best roast potatoes I've ever eaten. Deliciously flavoured, crispy edges and floury inside. I ate an entire bowl of them and would honestly bo back for them alone. Occasionally I come across places like Momo who have such a love for food that it shows on every dish. Couldn't be better.

03/06/2025: I walked in with my friend and his family, and immediately I was greeted by the smell of drunk men smoking, and burgers, which to me was the perfect combination. Once we settled down, me and my friend ordered the "Korean barbecue wangs", and some kind of loaded fries with like garlic sauce, my advice would be to cut down on the amount of garlic sauce, but it was still really good, and tha wangs war scramptious. Next time I would probably order the peanut butter burger, because me and my friends ordered one at the food truck, and I almost died of a heart attack after I ate it, but it was one of the best burgers I've ever ate ever ever ever ever ever full stop period

05/06/2025: I love the coffee, I also love the assortment of baked goods but the staff come across as a tad arrogant. They don’t want to toast your sandwich because their bread is too good! They don’t know about the existence of seagull bakery apparently, their bread is the only real bread in waterford! I like bringing my friends and family members there and perhaps a customer service module would make that experience more pleasurable for us - the paying customers. Just to make it clear - no bread in a coffee shop is too good to be toasted!.

01/06/2025: It's limited menu, but for good reason. This is a special place where the art of bread and sandwiches has been revived. Most new visitors are always taken aback by the fact that there are no toasties. Until they taste the sandwiches! ☺️ And then you can taste the sweets or the handmade chocolates afterwards. The fact that they know most of their clients by name is testament to the number who return time and again.

02/06/2025: Everything we had was great and always is evertime we visit. My favourite place to eat in Waterford. The roast potatoes and pepper sauce that they serve with the steak I could eat all night. So tasty...

12/04/2025: Lovely tasting coffee, milk was very velvety and the coffee was beautifully crafted and made to a lovely temperature that it was fresh and warm but not too hot which alot of places actually make they're coffee's too hot. Lovely chilled atmosphere inside even on a cold night. Staff were very friendly.

10/06/2025: Excellent restaurant, excellent food, excellent service. These people have the perfect no nonsense approach to running a great restaurant. Thank you for a top dining experience. Can't wait to go back.

17/05/2025: Really authentic, delicious food, great value for money and such pleasant staff. Great wine selection...though short..highly recommend ..don't get put off by the industrial setting

17/05/2025: At first sight, I thought I was going to regret having lunch here. Gate leading to the restaurant was locked, so I had to circle around. Restaurant seemed cheap, and the interior was off putting . Menu was small and simple, and the drinks menu was only wine. Service was excellent. Food was very tasty and very good value. Overall it's worth checking it out.

13/05/2025: Beds very comfy and room very modern and spotless. Cleaned each day and tea/coffee replenished. Bar staff and food wonderful.

08/05/2025: They have an Indian and Thai menu. Got the Paneer Butter Masala, gave a generous amount of paneer. The flavor was delicious and fresh. The sweet potato fries were fantastic! Great place! Will go again next time in town.

22/04/2025: I jist love the food here, everything fresh and delicious. Ive never had meal thay wasnt delicious. The staff are just lovely too top marks every tim from our family.
