The best restaurants in Wexford

28/09/2024: Amazing food. Best breakfast I've had all year. Big portions, high quality ingredients. Best cappachino in years. Friendly staff. We only discovered it, and it shuts tomorrow. It was great portions and I hope they re brand and try again because our whole group thought this was fantastic.

20/09/2024: Kept meaning to visit, I'm glad we finally did. Tasty meals throughout our group of five. Enjoyed the geekyness of the decor and identifying various characters. ..... added this bit some weeks after the above,.... We went back twice this week, exceptional service both times, both visits were lunchtime. It is with deepest regret and a broken heart that I heard of the imminent closure of GEEK. Having read some of the other reviews posted here, I can only add that there is a banging soundtrack playing in the background, I noticed several people on several tables singing along or tapping their feet. GEEK, you will be missed.

12/07/2025: Our party of four had lunch in La Marine at Kellys Rosslare on a beautiful summer day. We selected from the Mains Menu. Two trout and two chicken bruschetta. The trout arrived on bed of pine nuts, mushrooms etc and swimming in oil. It was stomach turning. The bruschetta was a few pieces of chicken on a piece of hard bread and big lumpy wedges. I've eaten bruschetta in the best restaurants, but to call this bruschetta was a joke. Unfortunately we were not laughing. The AI generated screaming parrot adds nothing to the ambience. It needs to be put out of its misery. Never again. 0 out of 5 would be more appropriate as it was that bad. Our waiter Andrew was excellent.

05/07/2025: Brilliant. We ate in La Marine restaurant. Staff were so good. Great with multiple sensitivies and coeliac. Could not have been better. Dedicated fryer. Great food. Felt very safe. Menu did not show the allergens but they can modify most dishes. Lots of options for starter main and deserts. Had the fish of the day. Other half had pork chop. Delicious. 4 restaurants here and all could cater for us. Will be back. Lovely gardens. Beach walk. So good.

09/11/2024: Friendly staff and good quality fast food. No frills just honest food

23/10/2024: there was a hair in my sisters food, my ma's batter was hard as a rock, the garlic on mi doner kebab tasted akward, my OTHER sisters chicken was dryer than a dried up well, my nannys chicken was funky and they had vinegar in a lucozade bottle, the server was nice.

26/09/2024: Closed since Monday 23rd September 2024 with no customer notification

25/09/2024: Adorable garden and realllllly nice full irish breakfast.

20/01/2025: Decided to visit following a recommendation from family and this was easily the best meal of our trip. The wife had the salmon and I had the lamb tomahawk. Unfortunately, although the lamb was cooked perfectly, the veg that came with the dish had a lot of water at the bottom which is my only complaint. I will add that the staff were fantastic providing some of the best service we have received in a long time. We will visit again when we are next in the area!

23/09/2024: First time we stopped off here, on our way to ferry. Great food and reasonably priced. My husband and I both had the turkey and ham dinner, large portions very tasty. Staff pleasant and friendly. Will definitely return when in the area.

21/10/2025: Would like highly recommend this place, absolutely amazing people working there very helpful

06/07/2025: No hot food after 3 which is a pity. Lovely surroundings though. Hope to try again at some stage. Place is pet friendly on the terrace.

02/06/2025: Stopped for a bank holiday lunch for family of 6 . Menu options limited - lasagne and chowder on menu not available . Roast of the day was beef - @ 17.50 , mash carrots and parsnips and a chunk of gravy coated roast beef presented. Beef absolutely inedible , extremely tough . We watched another table struggle to cut it also . We alerted the waitress twice to the fact it was inedible , she apologised but no alternative was offered . As we had prepaid there wasn’t an opportunity to discuss again . So disappointed and not cheap for self service .

01/08/2025: After our tour of hook lighthouse we had coffee and iced cake. The service was friendly and clean and not expensive . Very refreshing to relax.

31/07/2025: Oh my good lord - the chowder. We came as a group of friends, did the tour and stopped for lunch. Between us we had the chowder, fish and chips and the open face prise sandwiches. Chowder - thick, packed with prawns, chunks of potato and fish. So flavoursome. Fish and chips - to quote my friend, “Oh my God, how do they get the batter so light and crispy and the fish so moist?” Open face prawn sandwich - piled high, lovely brown bread. I’m gluten free and the bread that came with the chowder was so good I had to check that it was definitely gf. Genuinely not had a gf bread so good in years since the epic gf restaurant in Pisa. And we lucked out on the weather. Sunshine and soft breezes.
