26/10/2025: We’ve eaten here before and it was good, but tonight was poor. Our fries were served cold, sent back, and returned only lukewarm. By the time fresh ones arrived, the meal was over. The server was polite, but the kitchen failed and management did nothing to make it right. Being busy is no excuse for poor food or poor service. Very disappointed.

24/10/2025: I was enjoying a rare night off work with my child and I ordered from here because know that the food is generally good and would be worth the slightly longer wait. However, when the delivery arrived, I only received a milkshake and a burger, neither of which I ordered. I contacted the resteraunt who confirmed that it was a mistake on their end, and kindly took my number and offered to send my food out. One hour later the food had not arrived (two hours after the original order had been sent). I rang them and their response was simply "sorry, uber eats report that they have fulfilled the delivery on their end, so you can request a refund from them". Thanks for letting me know...2 hours after my original order. Mc Donald's it is...I guess 2.5 hours of hunger will be the best sauce.

31/10/2025: I’d actually forgotten how unbelievably good Scotty’s is. Just had a bout of nostalgia with a works burger remembering when my dad used to collect them from Munster Avenue all those years ago when Scotty first arrived on the scene. Still the best. Thanks Scotty and Jenny.

20/11/2025: Just bad. I requested the bill and it was included a "voluntary" 10 %. I told the waiter that I didn't want to pay for that ( (since wad voluntary) but he charged me anyway.... I'll never will be back.

04/11/2025: One of the best meals I’ve had in a while. I had the Bone Marrow Appetizer and the 10oz Ribeye medium and pepper sauce. Great Guinness too. Will be returning when I come to Dublin next.

05/11/2025: So... I don't normally do this but we went here last night, myself and 2 work colleagues after meeting in Dublin a few hours earlier. We arrived at 9.15 pm and were treated really well until we sat down. The person attending to us was pretty much the opposite of the rest of the staff there. He was rushing us and his tone wasn't friendly at all. That aside, the food actually tasted great until we got back to the hotel. Two of us ended up with stomach pains later that evening until lunch time the next day. Not sure what it was as we just had steak, cauliflower gratin and fries. Anyway, aside from the person attending us the people there were lovely (albeit rushed) and but the food whilst tasting lovely clearly didn't agree with us.

01/11/2025: I went here with a group of colleagues last month. The venue is good and the team are loving. The food was very average I've I'm honest. My chicken sandwich was really average and for the price point you expect more. The burger looked a bit better but feedback was that was very average. For the price we were all expecting a bit more quality and flavour Vs want we got which was cooked ok. Maybe the evening menu is a less basic and better value.

08/11/2025: My husband and I stopped here for dinner on our honeymoon and we loved it!! We had Finnbarr as our server and he was the kindest server! He treated us like we were friends and gave suggestions on what to order! We were not displeased at all!!

30/08/2025: There I was planning to fly out of Ireland West Knock airport on an early Sunday morning flight and just wasn’t feeling like getting up at half-past-very-early to do the long two-hour drive from home to get there. So, I started looking for a place to stay within punching distance or even a short drive to the airport. I wanted to stay away from the formulaic sterility and coldness of a chain hotel and stumbled upon this absolute jewel in county Sligo, a mere 15-minute drive from the airport. Cawley’s has a wonderful blend of old-style charm, class and relaxing vibes right in the heart of Tubbercurry. Despite first appearances, it delightfully stays away from any pretentious notions, and not only does it have favourable room rates but has a very honest and wonderfully welcoming bar and restaurant with very accommodating, natural and friendly staff. From the menu, this reviewer went for the striploin steak with all the trimmings washed down with a nice Chilean Chiraz, followed by the traditional sherry trifle and ice cream. From modest-sized weddings, to solo travellers just looking for a bed, hot shower, strong wifi and a good meal for the night, to the small dinner parties, Cawley’s is truly a chameleon of options establishment that accommodates the full spectrum of travellers, diners and event celebration needs. The very charming and conversational barman Matthew even accommodated my request for a Calimocho (simply red wine and coke) without as much as a flinch, oh and be sure to connect with Teresa, part of the Cawley family, at front of house. You won’t be disappointed with Cawley’s, now 60 years in business and still going strong.

16/11/2025: I'm a fan of this restaurant usually, but the Temple Bar branch really disappointed us. The service was just poor, it felt slow and disinterested. The fries were genuinely shocking value. They were tiny for the price, and worst of all, they came out cold (we had to ask for a fresh batch). The wings looked dreadful - dry and looked like they were the scraps or just sitting out too long.

11/11/2025: Great service. No pressure to order quickly. Staff were very pleasant. The chicken wings were cooked perfectly. Highly recommend.

18/10/2025: We have been there because we were searching a good Steakhouse and we trusted on the almost 900 comments. But it was really not how we expected it. The service was fast but after this it stops with the pro's. The steaks were not cooked correctly and our side dish was first forgotten and we had to remember the staff. The ambience was the worse. It was loud, people were talking with their phones while having video calls, other people were drunk. If I want to have a loud, drunk environment, I prefer a pub, but not such a good rated restaurant. We will definitely not come back.

25/09/2025: Third time eating there between June 2024 and September 2025. It is the one restaurant I make a point to go to in Dublin. Have the meat board for two. Peppercorn and béarnaise sauces with shrimp topper. Great service and great value. I look forward to eating there in November.

25/10/2025: Decided to eat out tonight. Nice crowd & was given a table soon as we arrived. Noticed reserved signs on tables. Staff efficient for sure, no delays or mixup. Have eaten here often, always satisfied with food choice & quantities of food in the dishes. Tonight we felt our food choice was compromised we also found that ingredients were missing from our dishes in which had been part of in the past. Staff were to a minimum tonight...actually felt that it was alot of pressure for one staff member. Three staff on duty on a busy Fri eve of the bank holiday ?? Staff cutbacks was obvious tonight. Can't ever understand why owners of these establishments are willing to take take take from the local customer & others but yet the customer & staff are denied proper care & attention to detail. Prices on the one sheet menu are higher also??? Why guys? 😞

The crust and style hit well, and the vegan offerings are commendable and rare in Dublin’s central pizzeria scene. That said, moderate your expectations if you’re looking for fine-dining finesse or a comfortable sit-down meal. It’s more “slice by the oven” than “quiet dinner experience.”
