31/10/2025: I’d actually forgotten how unbelievably good Scotty’s is. Just had a bout of nostalgia with a works burger remembering when my dad used to collect them from Munster Avenue all those years ago when Scotty first arrived on the scene. Still the best. Thanks Scotty and Jenny.

12/12/2025: It was absolutely delightful. Will be returning. The burger was cooked to perfection and the chips were no slacker. The servers were so skilled and kind. Thank you so much for that lovely scrumptious meal.

06/12/2025: A good restaurant, but a bit basic. The sweet potato fries are good, but basic—you could easily make them at home. As for the burger, it was cooked well, but the burger itself was nothing special—not bland, mind you, but nothing special. I think there are definitely better burgers in Dublin.

11/12/2025: We had our Christmas Party here, amazing food & great service. Will definitely be back. Booking and organising with them was so easy. We had 33 people there & everyone praised the food. Great selection of wine & great atmosphere.

04/12/2025: Let's start with the bad, to end with how spectacular the food at this place is. The service was a bit poor, to be honest. They took too long to ask us what we wanted to drink and eat, and after we'd finished eating, they brought us the bill without even asking if we wanted coffee or dessert. (They acknowledged their mistake and gave us the drinks we ordered for free.) Anyway... the food was so good that this didn't leave a bad taste in our mouths. I ordered the flat iron steak, and it was simply one of the best pieces of meat I've ever eaten. Cooked to perfection, and served on a bed of exquisite truffled mashed potatoes. I also had a very good lentil soup, and everything else my family ordered looked amazing. I would totally recommend this place and would go back despite the minor issues.

04/12/2025: Extremely small portion , I got the special, but it was overcooked & not even size of my palm, very high price Went for brunch during summer & it was better. Big portion but disappointed with lunch today View is beautiful but I am a foodie so quite disappointed

18/11/2025: We wandered in on a cold rainy night in early November based ona recommendation from a local shop keeper and received a warm welcome and a seat at a snug in the front window. The staff were absolutely wonderful. And the food was amazing, so good we went back the next night and had 2 of the best meals we had on our whole trip. Wonderful cozy atmosphere, delicious food and friendly staff, it literally doesnt get any better than this.

07/12/2025: Had a group dinner. The service was fantastic and the decor of the restaurant is amazing. The chicken lifer pate was nice and flavourful. I had a ribeye steak and it was salted a little too much for my liking but the peppercorn sauce and mash was very delicious.

12/12/2025: Great place, grabbed some pizza after a comedy show, pizza was tasty, and they had hot pepper flakes bonus.

31/10/2025: we had a meal there today as it was my son's graduation. The waitress was very friendly . my salad was nice but the turkey dinner my son had was just not great with big chunks of veg and mash was a bit dry. my partner asked for a ham sandwich which was very unappetizing and visually just two big triangles of bread wit ham stuffed in the middle. the dinner cost over 18 euro and we just expected a bit better value for money. it wasn't busy there and just thought food is not visually great and could be more appealing.

28/10/2025: Everyone there teats you like family it's a must stay if you are in sligo food was fabulous

30/11/2025: 30-Nov-2025: had lunch today. Staff as excellent as ever. Food was really good. Note: The specials board never includes prices; it really should. Downside to my visit was a table with around 5 kids who were allowed to wander around the restaurant shouting at each other; climbing on the back of the partitions, and whacking christmas decorations with a pen. Their mothers sat there chatting, not caring about other customers having their lunch. A staff member did at one stage ask a little boy to go back to his table, but he was up and about again in 5 minutes. Overall, I do enjoy the restaurant and will return occasionally. Nice staff, and comfortable surroundings. Had the Roast Beef lunch special. Would probably revisit when I'm Carndonagh again. Its been a while since my last visit. Standards are still high. Just had the full Irish breakfast here today. Really tasty and filling. Good value for money. Sunday 3-Mar-2024 UPDATED: Phoned today around 11:45am to ask what time they started serving lunch, only to be told by the young lady, after she asked another staff member, that they don't serve lunch on a Sunday. Doesn't sound like a good business model. Came to Google to update my review only to find another review giving feedback on their lunch last Sunday!

03/08/2025: Had a meal here one year ago and the service was so bad it ruined my finacee birthday celebration was comvinced by the new manager to go back and they would look after us so we did tonight only to be met by terrible service again. Left sitting at our table for 15 minutes before any member of staff came to to us and then had to ask for kids menu Steaks oredered and 2 of the 4 were very over cooked my MR tommahawk was borderline well done sent it back along with an overcooked ribeye my finacee ordered a glass of wine that never arrived dispite numerous times of asking wont be back shame because the steak was nice the 2nd time it came out

09/12/2025: Portion size very modest, plate not even half full. A great institution relying on past glories and reputation. You can't beat the location but if you were eating really there is value elsewhere.

07/12/2025: Received possibly the worst food of all time here - absolutely terrible. Hard to believe a chef put it on a plate to be honest. Said it to the waiter and he said “yeah fair enough”. Says enough about the place really - better options around
