16/08/2026: This was our third time here, and my boyfriend brought me back for my birthday. It's quickly becoming one of our favourite places. We started with the oysters and a lovely bottle of red wine, followed by the Chateaubriand, which we've now ordered on all three visits. Once again, it was absolutely exceptional. We always order it medium rare, and the consistency is incredible – perfectly cooked, beautifully pink throughout and exactly the same high standard every single time. What made this visit even more special was that the chef, Tadhg, remembered us from our previous visits and sent out a little dish for us while we waited for our steak. Such a lovely touch. The staff were fantastic too, extremely attentive and welcoming throughout the evening. For dessert, I was actually planning on ordering the rhubarb and white chocolate cheesecake, only for them to surprise me with it for my birthday. We finished with a double espresso each, and it was a perfect end to the night. Sitting downstairs where you can watch the chefs cooking adds so much to the experience. We met Tadhg on the way out and were delighted to tell him personally just how exceptional his cooking is. Three visits, three amazing Chateaubriands. Hats off to Tadhg and the whole team. We'll definitely be back again.

09/08/2026: Went for a birthday dinner. We have the lamb rump and tomahawk as mains. Very disappointed with the quality of the meat and the very high price. The menu on the website is different than the menu at the restaurant. The meat was chewy, with a lot of tendons. The creamed spinach as a side was full of sauce, more like a soup then cream. The margarita was the most terrible cocktail in Dublin. They have the worst steak knives that could not cut through steaks at all. We were the first to arrive on the second floor and the music was so loud until the second table of guests arrived. The waiters did not come to the table and ask for our opinions. There was no such thing as service for the night. I did mention it was a birthday dinner when making the reservation but there was no acknowledgement at all. Very disappointed overall and would not recommend.

18/09/2026: The place is very nice, softly lit, not too noisy, perfect for conversation. The menu is simple, with four sandwiches to choose from and the option to add ingredients like cucumber, tomato, bacon (for an extra charge), and sauces. The staff is friendly, unobtrusive, but just the right amount. The cheeseburger is good, not too big, but just enough to fill you up. The meat is good, cooked to perfection, just how I asked for it. Excellent value, especially in a city like Dublin, where prices have risen significantly.

15/08/2026: Lovely place. Eaten here a few times over the past 3 weeks with colleagues. 95% of the time we had no issues with the food. The meals have been tasty everytime but the portions are small.

12/08/2026: Great spot for food. We had the sausage and mash which was delicious. Desserts were delicious too. Staff attentive and friendly.

08/09/2026: Popular spot where you can enjoy a wide array of starters, salads and mains. Great bar service by all of the ladies who waited on us. New pool table downstairs is a fantastic addition to the features of this tavern. Definitely need bookings on the weekends.

20/09/2026: Food was ok but we found rude to bring us the bill even tho we had not asked for it... and it's not like we were blocking other clients (had been there for 45 minutes top and half the tables were empty..). The waitress even came back and asked "cash or card ?".. 😒

23/08/2026: Excellent, beautifully presented food. The gluten-free fish and chips are delicious and safe for celiacs. Beautiful location. The main courses are reasonably priced. Desserts are a bit pricey.

01/09/2026: Ryleigh’s is one of the rare places in the neighborhood that opens at 8 am for breakfast. And what a way to start your day with the pork belly toast (€17). It’s more gratifying than a full Irish breakfast served in most places. Pair it with tomato juice to cut through the fatty goodness. All this, with great views of the river.

30/08/2026: We had the best time! The food was delicious, and all the staff were so friendly, polite, and welcoming. Hannah looked after our table, and she was absolutely amazing. Thank you for making our experience so enjoyable, I will definitely be back!

18/08/2026: My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Townhall, and it was a true gastronomic celebration! We ordered stuffed chicken, beef steak, seafood cocktail, and chocolate mousse — every dish looked like a work of art, so exquisite and prepared with love! And the taste exceeded all expectations — incredibly, incredibly delicious. A special thank you to our waitress Natalia for her attentiveness and professionalism. The service was fast, and the atmosphere was warm and cozy. Thank you for making our evening so special! We recommend it with all our hearts!

10/08/2026: Fantastic food, friendly and good humoured staff, professional and helpful, the history of this wonderful building is an added extra to a peaceful and relaxing break from a busy day and a busy Town centre.

04/09/2026: Stumbled upon this place randomly but the salmon and chicken curry were amazing!!! So happy with the food 🙏

15/08/2026: Sat down and ordered the rump lamb. 45 minutes later was apologized to about it being late and was offered an appetizer as compensation, with the lamb being ready in 10 minutes. 20 minutes later I got an barely seasoned lamb that was very tough. Not worth €27 at all, the only redeeming thing was the comped wings that ended up being better than the main course itself.

20/08/2026: Excellent food. Service was fantastic. We went in about 45 mins before closing and everything was perfect. Our server was so nice, she was attentive and knowledgeable when recommending a local beer. The burger was 10/10 no notes. A definite try in Galway

18/08/2026: Oh oh no no no! I’m genuinely shocked by how this was handled. I ordered food through Just Eat, and when the courier arrived, I saw him urinating in my garden while he was holding my food. Because of that, I did not accept the food at all. I contacted the restaurant immediately and explained what had happened, but their response was essentially, “Sorry, there’s nothing we can do.” So I was left without the food and still charged the full bill. A customer should not be expected to pay for an order they could not reasonably accept after witnessing such a serious hygiene issue during the delivery. Extremely disappointing response from the restaurant.
