24/02/2026: Very simple place with simple menu, but what they are cooking is really tasty and amazing. Waiters are very helpful and attentive, no matter how busy they are, they always regularly check if everything is ok. Food was served within 10-15 minutes. Burgers was very nice, juicy and tasty. Plenty of tables and music was not loud, so really nice place to catch up and chat with your friends, if you are into burgers. Highly Recommended.

12/02/2026: Closed 45 minutes early. Told leak in ceiling resulting in early kitchen closure while people dining on site with fresh burgers...

05/04/2026: I went to this “Restaurant” with a friend and had a very bad experience. The manager and staff were extremely rude, constantly looking us up and down and not polite at all. I wouldn’t go back there again. If you want your evening ruined, go there, otherwise, avoid this place!

25/03/2026: Great pace to eat and have a few drinks. The staff, the atmosphere and the food are first class. However if you want to have an few pints you must sit at the bar or worse stand around the bar and be in the way. Looking at empty tables with reservation signs on them and they left vacant for long periods is annoying when you would prefer to sit down at a table and have a private chat and a drink. The policy should be reviewed as good regular customers are being forced to go elsewhere when they would prefer not to do so and spend their hard earned cash at Coxes Dromod Bar.

23/03/2026: I've been here several times in the past. It was good. Yesterday I was very disappointed. The fish was overcooked and covered in oil... I was sick all night, as was my partner. What's going on in the kitchen?

02/04/2026: This is a wonderful place to eat, portions are filling and the quality is outstanding. Take your budget and throw it out the window because you will be spending a pretty penny, but if you have a special occasion or really want to treat yourself it is worth it. The menu has evolved over the years and I am happy to say that I have enjoyed every change. Staff are wonderful and professional, they really help to craft and facilitate an outstanding experience whatever the occasion.

14/04/2026: Had a quick bite here for lunch.Great food but doors were wide open on quiet a breezy day. Busy spot and reasonably clean. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

02/03/2026: Great food here with helpful staff and fast service. Burger was amazing here. Everyone enjoyed their food. Club was the only drink we couldn't get in here, bjt the Murphy's was very good. Definitely a great place to eat at in the town.

18/04/2026: Me and my partner sat outside for a drink after leaving somewhere for food. The service we received from Jess and Denise was just amazing. The two kindest and loveliest women - we were made feel right at home from the two of them. I couldn’t recommend their customer service more and even though we just stopped for a drink (not knowing it was even a restaurant) the reality of them being so nice and attentive makes us want to make plans to be there again for dinner. And we will deffo be making reservations for our next date night. Also shout out to ‘hot chef’ who we didn’t get to experience but is a fan favourite 🤣❤️

15/04/2026: Had a reservation for 4 people for dinner , it was a great evening full of laughter fun and delicious food and drinkin a super cozy atmosphere ! My friends ordered a pint first and they came in and surprised him with a baby pint 😂😂 then later we got funny hats to take pictures staff was so lovely and cheery !!! 10/10 would recommend and the cocktails are super amazing & very tasty !!!!!!!!

14/03/2026: We were given vouchers for here and it was our first visit. The food was incredible, quality ingredients and options. The service was fine, I didn't get a drink I ordered but that's not the end of the world. Highly recommended.

21/04/2026: There were about ten of us. Service was rushed. The main course was quite expensive; I was shocked that my Caesar salad cost €14 and had no chicken, just lettuce and croutons. I had to order chicken as an extra 🙄 My colleagues' burgers looked good. Not a place to avoid, but not exactly thrilled either 🤷🏻‍♀️

19/04/2026: The best elephant and castle in town. All you can eat wings Wednesday is not a bad idea but not a true representation of their chicken wings. I felt because they do big quantities that the quality was slightly below my expectation but any other day they are just gorgeous.

It’s rare to find such genuine kindness and professionalism. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for not only good food, but also outstanding service!
