11/07/2026: Fantastic experience, a true Italian restaurant of the highest quality: the fish is incredibly fresh and prepared with care and respect for the ingredients, and the ravioli are amazing. I never expected such delicious first courses in Dublin. The wine list is extensive, carefully selected by the owner, who is a true expert. The prices, in my opinion, are fair considering the hospitality and high quality of the restaurant. Highly recommended!

25/08/2026: Arrived for dinner and was immediately met with a host who was displeased we had our child with us. We were then advised that they removed their children's menu and that children aren't welcome, but they'll seat us in a few minutes. It was a confusing and rough start to a meal to be told our patronage isn't wanted but we'll still be served. The waitress that followed was courteous and the steaks we ordered for all members of the party were delicious. I would have been fine if they wanted to refuse service rather than seat us and get glared down.

22/08/2026: They serve really good steaks here, but everything else wasn’t tasty. So it’s better just to buy some meat from the shop and cook it at home. The atmosphere and service are very pleasant, thanks for waiters

02/07/2026: We visited Butcher on a Friday evening without a reservation and was rudely told it would be a 15-20 min wait. We didn’t mind waiting and was told to sit at the tiny table in the corner by the entry way and ended up having to wait for 35 mins. We were then seated at a very small 2 person table in the middle of 3 large parties. The waiter and waitresses had to keep going around our table and ended up bumping into my husband multiple times. When they finally came to take our order we ordered a glass of $$ wine, a Guinness, an appetizer (€16), a steak (€32), and two sides with the plan of also ordering more drinks + a dessert. We were then told we were required to order two entrees since they were busy. This wasn’t mentioned anywhere on the menu and the way the waiter treated us prior and afterwards was unacceptable. The food itself was decent but after being forced to order things we didn’t want in order to dine there, we didn’t enjoy. While we appreciated the accommodations since we didn’t have a reservation, we were disappointed with how the staff treated us and acted like we weren’t spending enough money at their restaurant. I recommend looking elsewhere for dinner options!

24/08/2026: Food here is very good starters and mains top class wine very good not the cheapest place to eat but can't have it every way.

15/08/2026: I had two servers. The person leading me to my table, which they managed on zero notice, seemed a bit shy and maybe new, or grumpy. The gentleman taking my food order was friendly and understanding of my request on dietary issues and smaller portions. The fillet steak is melt in your mouth and everything on your plate complements each other in the best possible way. It's a bit out of a drive for me to dine here. I will definitely come back at some stage. Highly recommend!

06/08/2026: The Bull and Castle had lovely atmosphere. My partner and I shared the 16oz rib eye and it was great. We also had the oysters, which were very good. The bone marrow was excellent.

06/08/2026: Cozy atmosphere with dark leather sofas, booths for privacy, attentive waiters. We had fillet and fish and everything was very delicious. The food arrived within a short time and we had a wonderful dinner.

11/10/2025: As a Uruguayan, I really appreciate a good steak — and **Tomahawk Steakhouse** absolutely delivered. I loved sitting at the counter with the **grill right in front of me**, watching the chefs at work while enjoying an **excellent Italian wine**. The meat was perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and the whole experience felt authentic and warm. A truly **outstanding dining experience** — can’t wait to go back! 🥩🍷🔥

25/09/2025: Mind-Blowing Quality—Worth Every Penny! We are from Switzerland, a place where steak is already incredible, but this restaurant truly blew us away! The meat was absolutely fantastic—a cut above. We ordered the Delmonico and the fillet steak, and both were utterly perfect. The service was impeccable, and the wine selection was equally impressive. This is a genuinely high-end establishment with high end prices prices that are completely justified by the outstanding quality delivered. Nice flair and good service and vibes. Deserves the full five stars!

15/08/2026: Lovely place. Eaten here a few times over the past 3 weeks with colleagues. 95% of the time we had no issues with the food. The meals have been tasty everytime but the portions are small.

16/08/2026: Great place. The atmosphere is fantastic. Dining at high tables with wooden and glass dividers is very original. I recommend booking because there's a long queue at peak times. The fish and chips are great, the ribs are delicious. And the apple pie with ice cream and custard is the best dessert I've ever had. If you can, come.

16/08/2026: This was our third time here, and my boyfriend brought me back for my birthday. It's quickly becoming one of our favourite places. We started with the oysters and a lovely bottle of red wine, followed by the Chateaubriand, which we've now ordered on all three visits. Once again, it was absolutely exceptional. We always order it medium rare, and the consistency is incredible – perfectly cooked, beautifully pink throughout and exactly the same high standard every single time. What made this visit even more special was that the chef, Tadhg, remembered us from our previous visits and sent out a little dish for us while we waited for our steak. Such a lovely touch. The staff were fantastic too, extremely attentive and welcoming throughout the evening. For dessert, I was actually planning on ordering the rhubarb and white chocolate cheesecake, only for them to surprise me with it for my birthday. We finished with a double espresso each, and it was a perfect end to the night. Sitting downstairs where you can watch the chefs cooking adds so much to the experience. We met Tadhg on the way out and were delighted to tell him personally just how exceptional his cooking is. Three visits, three amazing Chateaubriands. Hats off to Tadhg and the whole team. We'll definitely be back again.

09/08/2026: Went for a birthday dinner. We have the lamb rump and tomahawk as mains. Very disappointed with the quality of the meat and the very high price. The menu on the website is different than the menu at the restaurant. The meat was chewy, with a lot of tendons. The creamed spinach as a side was full of sauce, more like a soup then cream. The margarita was the most terrible cocktail in Dublin. They have the worst steak knives that could not cut through steaks at all. We were the first to arrive on the second floor and the music was so loud until the second table of guests arrived. The waiters did not come to the table and ask for our opinions. There was no such thing as service for the night. I did mention it was a birthday dinner when making the reservation but there was no acknowledgement at all. Very disappointed overall and would not recommend.
