20/02/2026: I went to the café on February 19th and was very well received. I didn't go for dinner, but for coffee, as the name of the place itself suggests. Today, February 20th, I arrived to have coffee again at the same time, 9 pm, and was prevented from having a coffee, even though there were several empty tables and it wouldn't have been a problem for the establishment. I don't know the name of the man who greeted me, but he was extremely rude and lacked any polite manners.

09/02/2026: Absolutely exquisite from start to finish the brisket starter with absolutely gorgeous and the salad beneath it was just as nice, the steak was to die for. We will be back very soon 10 out of 10 experience thank you chefs and staff

04/02/2026: The farmers burger is arguably the nicest burger I’ve ever had! Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Came in as a walk in at 6:30 on a Wednesday and it was the perfect atmosphere. Would highly recommend this place to anybody visiting Kilkenny

11/01/2026: We have been to this restaurant many times and it has yet to let us down. Food is very nice. They have a children's menu but they also serve half portions of some main menu dishes. Service is amazing 👏. Very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Great choice of table sizes, shapes and locations. Free customer parking in the hotel adjacent. Always a great experience.

08/01/2026: Great pint of Smithwicks. Nice bar area with great service. Has a large dining area that I didn't use but it was always busy, so I assume food was great.

24/02/2026: We were first to arrive at opening and we were greeted and seated quickly. Angela was so lovely throughout, so friendly and approachable and excellent at her job.

20/02/2026: Best restaurant I have been to in Dublin. Food was outstanding, and cooked to your preference. Service was top notch as all workers treated you with respect and friendliness. The prices vary for foods, but are very acceptable seeing how well the food was cooked and what options there were. The atmosphere was beautiful, very scenic and movie like, a very, by definition, movie like environment. Overall 10/10 restaurant, highly recommend.

06/02/2026: I had dinner at The Lotts Cafe Bar today and it was a very enjoyable experience overall. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, with a classic Irish pub vibe that makes it a great place for a casual dinner with friends or family. We ordered the fish and chips and a steak, and both dishes were excellent. The fish was perfectly cooked with a crispy golden batter and soft, flaky fish inside, not greasy at all. The chunky chips were well seasoned and paired really nicely with the sauces. The steak was served on a hot stone, which allowed us to control the doneness ourselves. The meat was tender, juicy, and full of flavour, even with simple seasoning. The salad was fresh and crisp, and the bacon added a nice smoky touch that worked very well with the dressing. The staff were friendly, attentive, and efficient, Food quality, portion size, and service all felt well worth the price. Overall, it was a great dining experience, and I would happily return and recommend The Lotts Cafe Bar to others.

14/02/2026: Will never be back. Horrible service. It was valentines day and we were treated terribly. Table was beside a heater (better off stay at home), table was wonky (apparently the table was "in demand") , chips were freezing and placed beside a table of kids on valentines. When said all this to management they laughed it off with arrogamce and were so rude. My girlfriend then asked for her receipt she was treated horribly after we had complained. Will never ever be back

17/02/2026: Visited here recently, although food is good, wait time is awful. Waited 50 minutes after ordering for just a starter, the gluten free pesto garlic bread. Quite disappointed with what it is, a slice of bread cut in half essentially. I would’ve expected more. Main course was nice though, didn’t take nearly as long to come. Good if you’re okay with waiting long for food while the restaurant isn’t busy.

31/10/2025: I’d actually forgotten how unbelievably good Scotty’s is. Just had a bout of nostalgia with a works burger remembering when my dad used to collect them from Munster Avenue all those years ago when Scotty first arrived on the scene. Still the best. Thanks Scotty and Jenny.

04/11/2025: One of the best meals I’ve had in a while. I had the Bone Marrow Appetizer and the 10oz Ribeye medium and pepper sauce. Great Guinness too. Will be returning when I come to Dublin next.
