22/06/2025: Very disappointed was looking forward to our night out food was bad service was ok would not recommend this restaurant,walking down the stairs to the toilet kitchen utensils around bottom of the staires not a good look .

23/06/2025: Brookwood deserves every bit of praise it has received in online reviews. One of our best (maybe our best) meal in Ireland and that includes a Michelin star restaurant. We were immediately and warmly greeted when we arrived. The restaurant is small and divided between three floors (technically four if you include the basement where some of the prep cooking is done). The first floor includes a handful of tables and the open kitchen where the executive chef and a sous chef work tirelessly. The second floor includes additional tables and a small bar. The third floor includes a private dining room. All told probably 15-18 tables. The service was impeccable from start to finish; our server Alix was personable, efficient and a lot of fun. She took time to help us with our menu and wine choices. We started off with house-made focaccia bread which is made over a two day process and was as good as anything we had in Italy on our many trips there. The “Irish Onon Soup” was beyond delicious — made with house-made beef and chicken stock, red wine, red wine vinegar, 16 hour slowly cooked onions, and finished with an Irish cheese which the head chef described as “like a cheddar but with more umami.” Well agreed that it was some of the best onion soup we had ever tasted and a meal of that and the focaccia would have been perfect. But we quickly changed our mind when the chateaubriand arrived. The chateaubriand is for two persons; we were two couples and both couples decided on the dish. OMG perfection and I am so glad I splurged on the dish and screw my cholesterol for the night lol. Our friends had a special request which was can we do half the dish at medium rare to medium and half at rare - the head chef was quick to say “no problem.” My partner and I both ordered the dish “blue” - yes we love it beyond rare and it arrived at the perfect temp. Our friends also both proclaimed their preferred temps as perfect. The chateaubriand also came with a choice of two sauces and two sides. We selected the bearnaise, the peppercorn and the Brookwood butter as sauces - all perfectly prepared and adding some delicious fat to the fairly lean beef. We selected the delicious cabbage with bacon (a luxurious concoction of cabbage, bacon, cream, and butter) which was decadent rich side which you could pretend was healthy because it is cabbage. The creamy mash potatoes were equally delicious. We were so full after dinner we shared a single dessert which was a lemon custard (no the name on the menu) with fresh strawberries. It was bright, light and lemony a perfect way to finish our meal. I should mention the wine list which is a nice selection and range of prices. We started with a rioja reserva which was delicious as it opened up. We followed up with a nice and reasonably priced cote de Rhône. It was a Monday evening so admittedly not a super busy night (although table were full when we first arrived). The staff is amazingly attentive and we had wonderful interaction. The head chef checked in with us on our meal, answered all of our questions and was genuinely interested in our feedback. All great from our part. A wonderfully memorable evening and food!!!!

16/06/2025: We went here for the Sunday Roast because it's supposed to be the best in town! What we got was 1 slice of beef, a dollop of mash potatoes, carrots, something that was supposed to be a Yorkshire pudding, gravy and a pot of whipped cream that was supposed to be horseradish. I showed our server the description of their roast dinner on their website and she was surprised! I will say the slice of beef was good and so was the gravy but don't go here for their famous roast. It certainly wasn't worth €29 and they should take the board outside and in until they fix the offering!!

24/05/2025: I have eaten in this restaurant several times when I visit from London. Sadly the quality of the food is very poor.? Has the chef changed? I had chicken fillet burger. The batter was dark brown and rock hard. The chips are frozen and there was a tasteless limp salad on the side. Very disappointing.

15/06/2025: I had the crab spaghetti and honestly I've been thinking about it ever since. White crab meat, garlic, chilli, parmesan, olive oil...maybe a bit of lemon? So simple and so, so good. Will have to come back to Westport just for that.

12/04/2025: From arrival to departure, it was a pleasure to be here. Warmly greeted by FOH Team Member Ciara, we were shown to our lovely table, and menus arrived as well as being informed of the specials on offer. We chose Scallops and Crab and Lobster Arancini, fabulous, and for mains I chose the special of half lobster and skinny fries, whilst my sister chose Chicken Carabonara, fabulous. Thank you Chefs Aidan, Christian and FOH Team Members Ciara and Martina for your knowledge and wonderful customer care.

03/06/2025: A great place to bring young family members. The staff were enthusiastic and helpful. The food is delicious-burgers, fries & malt shakes. And the jukebox on each table is a lot of fun. A very American style experience. You Rock!

01/05/2025: Wouldnt recomend, soooo overpriced... and whats with the paying before you eat? Scared of someone returning everything?... when i got my burger i thought they mixed it up with a kids meal, burger itself was not taken care of at all, all over the place and the vegetables were old and dried out looking, i also I got the spicy bonless wings and they were the worst iv ever eaten... they were literally microwaved from cold with the sauce on. If you ask me, I'd check the mcdonalds across the street

16/06/2025: What a fantastic experience! The full Irish breakfast was absolutely delicious (to say the least). Furthermore, the service was great and the manager (or perhaps owner) was very friendly! 10/10 would recommend!

01/06/2025: Had some asian pals with danish nationality stay with us recently. They like chicken dishes, so i went here to order a food few items. All orders were correct, hot, and had all the accompements needed. My pals and family were happy indeedo and a slight good comparison to kfc 🍗 👌 As I said, I never had a delivery as I live nearby.. all in all, we were happy and my guests.

08/06/2025: The service was ok, a little slow but somewhat friendly. The food however was decent. My steak was perfect medium/rare. It was interesting to be able to watch the guy grill our steaks. However I felt VERY lucky as he was sweeping up the floor of wood bits and dirt etc and he used the pan to throw this filth into the fire and at the same time coving some of the steaks for other people......gross. definitely ignorant practise that needs to stop. It would put us off going again incase we are not so lucky and get extra u wanted seasoning next time.

26/06/2025: I'm writing this review to show appreciation for the staff at Supermac's .. They service is very fast, friendly, helpful, and the food quality exceeded my expectations. The ice cream was lovely too.

17/06/2025: I rated it one star because it is not possible to rate it with zero. We bought 4 coxinha snacks and 1 soda and after paying we saw a sign in the corner saying that there was a combo with soda where we would be entitled to at least 2 more cans. The attendant refused to give us even 1 can, terrible service, especially since it would be his job to offer the combo... that would be the least we could expect. But they couldn't even provide the minimum level of service... ridiculous! Besides, the products are very expensive!

28/05/2025: My wife and I stopped in here on our way home. We were served by a lovely young man who was full of knowledge of the local area for walks. We both had the stake sandwich, and I have to say 10 out of 10, we'll definitely be back. Well recommended

22/06/2025: The is based over two visits to Eddie Rockets at the same diner in Dublin. Visit 1: Good service and good food, couple of the chips were green but apart from this was good. Asked my waitress for change for the table jukebox selector and didn’t seem impressed but she did come back with some change which I was pleased about. Visit 2: Better food this time round but waited a long time for someone to acknowledge us for the dessert menu, staff didn’t seem to care on this day. Update: they brought us our dessert and then said they didn’t have spoons as they were in the wash. They bought me my ice cream and expected me to eat it with my hands? 😂 I was then offered a wooden spoon, more to landfill and not the same eating experience. My partner also find plastic packaging in her ice cream. First time to Eddie Rockets and won’t be back again
