05/07/2026: I am home from the states on vacation and had a family dinner in the Embassy, to my surprise it was for my 60th birthday. From the moment we got there the service was amazing the food was a 10 I had the chicken wings as a starter- they were the best wings I have ever had Most of the table had steaks which were tender and delicious I had a burger- the fries we homemade and the burger was juicy and delicious we went on to have dessert which also was amazing The staff were attentive and everything was perfect thank you so much for making my birthday just perfect Carol Watters Myrtle beach South Carolina

24/07/2026: We've been ordering from Pitt Bros for a while now, spectacular Burgers, with that hint of barbecue taste, we haven't been disappointed so far, it doesn't matter what we order, we loved everything we ate so far. Can't recommend enough

15/05/2026: Restaurant review only. I had 3 nights in Carndonagh and had dinner every night at The Butterbean. All 3 nights I had a special and all 3 were fantastic. Salmon over stir-fry noodles was my favorite - perfectly cooked with a perfect sauce. Pasta with a tomato-cream sauce with chorizo was also excellent. Finally monkfish with a butter-leek sauce over asparagus and other vegetables was expertly cooked and very refined - delightful. I can't recommend this place enough - it was the best food of my entire trip.

06/07/2026: Had my anniversary dinner here, it was very disappointing. My girlfriend ordered the supreme of chicken, it came out dry, the veg was gone off with water under it, and the mash was clearly microwaved. I ordered the steak, it would be difficult to mess that one up, although they still managed to mess that up too. The restaurant inside is beautiful, along with the views. We waited months to visit this restaurant after coming across it online. My girlfriend sent her meal back as it was inedible - the kitchen staff started laughing in whatever language they spoke. Ignorantly laughing into our faces and making it very obvious they were irritated about it. I applaud the waitress who handled this situation very well and was courteous in her response. The kitchen staff and the manager however were terrible and incompetent - how do you expect me to pay €45 for a steak that was mediocre, and a dish that was inedible, while being laughed at - in another language, by the the kitchen staff? I don’t think many other people would accept this. The manager offered a discount, but condoned the kitchen staff, and blamed it on it being an open kitchen, and their native language. Manners should be universal, don’t laugh in my face, because your dish wasn’t cooked properly.

24/05/2026: Had a great meal at JD's Steakhouse. The steak was cooked perfectly and full of flavour, the wine selection was excellent, and the service from start to finish was top class. Really nice atmosphere and a very comfortable environment to relax and enjoy a meal. Everything was spot on. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back. 5 stars.

19/07/2026: Don’t get the hype! Driest pizza ever. They have pizzas in cases and “take your order” whilst they heat cold pizza up. It’s so dry and tasteless. Also asked the staff for a pizza with ham, pineapple etc and they handed me a margarita pizza and said that’s what o ordered. Needs a bang of garlic sauce.

26/05/2026: DO NOT eat here if you are COELIAC or require GLUTEN FREE. I was at the afters of a funeral. This premises did the catering and it was brought into the afters. Food arrives in a container marked gluten free and I believe this was. A burger and chips both very nice. However they kept bringing food to our table of 4 (chips, onion rings and halloumi sticks). I advised the staff, 2 of us at the table were coeliac and thus we didn't need as much food but they told us the chips, onion rings and halloumi sticks were gluten free. I was shocked as they looked lovely. They assured me they use seperate fryers so they did seem to be aware of cross contamination. Immediately after eating the onion rings and halloumi sticks I felt the reaction started in my mouth. For me it's instantaneous. Luckily I had my epipen with me. I felt instantly nauseous. I rang BóTOWN and pointed out a mistake had been made and I had been poisoned with gluten and she said 'sorry'. I was so angry. My weekend in Galway was ruined, I vomited, luckily I did not have to use my epipen but sorry doesn't cut it. Be warned.
