13/09/2026: Great service, great food, great old fashioned booth,/ wooden pub with local characters, families and sports teams. The food portions were generous, filet steak and grilled chicken, and the veg and garlic sauté potatoes were all done to perfection. We topped off this fantastic meal with a well kept pint of Guinness. It was a perfect end to a short Irish holiday in Monaghan. We highly recommend this restaurant/ pub.

13/09/2026: I had my son's first birthday party there and everything was great, the service, the food was good, and the decoration was beautiful thanks to Dream It Party Decor. It's a great space for a nice family party.

22/09/2026: Myself and a few family members had a fantastic experience here on Sunday evening before heading to the Westlife concert. The food was delivered very quickly and tasted great. The waiting staff were all friendly and helpful, but one member of staff in particular really stood out. I think he was a supervisor or manager — he couldn’t do enough for us and was great craic. Service like this really makes a difference and has you leaving the restaurant with a smile on your face. He was an absolute credit to the place. Thanks for a great experience, we’ll definitely be back.

06/09/2026: Staff members were busy with everything but the customers. Shocking! At first, when I got in, since no one was by the door nor looking after those waiting, I walked in to ask where to sit. But of course, following the rules, I was sent back to wait by the door for someone to come. Then, after being seated for quite some time (at least 12 minutes), I walked up to the cashier to ask if I should order there or at the table. The directions were to order at the table, and they followed up to take my order. Finally, I literally had to call them to bring the food after it had been sitting on the shelf for quite some time. The place was not packed at all; at most, 20 to 25% of the tables were busy. Folks, you need to up your game!

10/04/2026: No place to leave a seperate restaurant review. Went for lunch on our one day in Tubbercurry. Our server was nice. We found the lunch a bit lacking in selection, no burgers or fish and chips. Had the soup, BLT club and fries.

01/10/2026: The food here is always fresh and tasty, and the restaurant itself is nice and clean. Not too noisy at all, and the location is also very good. There's a bus stop right outside, and a luas less than a minute's walk away when you cross the road outside. This Rocket's is near the Bord Gais Theatre and Convention Centre too, so it's a nice place to drop into if you're going to/coming back from either of those places. The view of the river and bridge nearby is great, especially on a sunny day. The workers are helpful and friendly, especially Ramona :) Good Rocket's!!

18/09/2026: Excellent service, two very friendly people working, just what I needed after a long journey. Food was fast and tasty. Great views of the Liffey. I couldn't understand why it was so quiet.

31/05/2026: A lovely place, tradtional pub setting. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Very clean, spotless I would say, including bathrooms. Fantastic food and a good choice on the menu. Staff very friendly. Food is fantastic. I had a beef dinner, nice portion of food, no mean servings here and piping hot, no cold food here. My wife had the chicken curry, gorgeous, she would have liked a little more rice but a small complaint really. She also had a couple of pints of Heineken, they looked gorgeous and she said they were lovely. Kids meals very good. My son with autism had roast beef (half portion) chips and gravy, he loved it and hoovered it up. The small kids had chicken goujons and chips and sausages and chips, both really good meals and everyone very happy going home. My only regret was I couldn't try a pint of Guinness, they looked like mothers milk.

29/06/2026: CLOSED! Despite saying it was open all the curtains/blinds were drawn. No signs of life inside 😞 Tried alerting Google, but not bothered.

06/09/2026: My first time here today for Sunday lunch. Myself and my partner thought the food was fantastic. We ordered the lamb and beef. The staff were friendly and efficient. I couldn’t fault it. A nice cosy atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

15/08/2026: Had the most beautiful dinner last night in Callans, the food was amazing, best meal we have had in a long time and the staff were fantastic.. very attentive but not overwhelming or rushing you .. would definitely recommend and will be back soon, thank you all 🤗

19/08/2026: The food itself seemed fine, and maybe this place works better for delivery, but the restaurant itself was in very poor condition. It felt neglected and dirty, with personal/dirty clothes left around, and we even saw spiders inside. The bathroom was also not working. Overall, the place clearly needs much better cleaning and maintenance. Very disappointing if you choose to eat there in person.

12/08/2026: A wonderfully fresh meal. The welcome was very pleasant, and they even tried to speak French, which was much appreciated. I recommend it.

07/10/2026: Just stopped here on my journey from Wexford to May, I was quite taken back by the exceptional friendly service, the man at the food counter with the shaved head should be given an award for service.

19/10/2026: 1 main 1 side 1 shake €14.99 can't argue with that. Typical diner food, worth the money, kids love it. Milkshakes are 👌 Sit by a heater if you go its cold in there.

17/09/2026: Went for our 10year anniversary, and it did not deliever. Ordered whiskey sour which took nearly 15mins to arrive We both Ordered fillet steaks, which were not cooked correctly, my own was meant to be medium rare and to say it was as dry as bone is an understatement. To me this steak had been cooked earlier and reheated. Service was very slow and lacking! I have now added a photo of the receipt, showing a charge of 2 fillet steaks at €37.95, which is then a total overcharge of €45.90 as Sirloin steak offer on the night was €15.
