30/03/2024: Just okay. I expect that there are bundle of burgers and fries but you need to purchase it separately. Pricey for solo eater. Better for partners or group.

30/03/2024: Overall Thoughts: in Dublin for a High Field Trip. Obviously as an American we LOVE burgers. We had some time before touring a museum and needed some lunch! 22/03/2024: Despite the franchise being under new ownership for about two years now, the standard of food and service has been maintained. I would go out of my way to order here such is the consistency. It’s not perfect here but where is? I’ve had a small number (less than 3) of times when my order has been problematic. There has never been an issue resolving it. Typical of most SuperMac restaurants I’ve frequently actually. Must be a core value of the chain. Service here is friendly with a diverse and multicultural staff. Orders can take some time to prepare however but this is not necessarily a negative as it means orders are being prepared freshly. Management is very friendly and easy to deal with. Food is prepared freshly and you can tell in the taste. Only negative really is the restaurant seating area is not very appealing and I’ve not dined-in for years. This is perhaps more of a chain issue for SuperMacs. Overall, I would recommend it for consistently fresh and tasty food, and good service with a friendly smile.

29/12/2023: Food was delicious. I ordered a hot dog but unfortunately my hot dog went all soggy before I could finish it. I wish they would toast the bun a little bit beside that food was yummy and price was OK for what I got .

29/03/2024: Pizzeria in Castlebar. Mayonnaise sauce is added to each pizza. We ordered two pizzas for the price of Double. I liked the taste of the pizza! It was very cold because the front door was not closed.

21/03/2024: Food exactly what I needed after a long journey. The gravy chip was fantastic had a chicken wrap with gravy which was fantastic. late night atmosphere was great with music. Fast service and friendly staff. Will be sending all my friends who visit the city

20/03/2024: First time at chicken hut and I got a very terrible reception from the sales attendance. She made it seem as though I was bugging her all through with my questions of wanting to know about the meal boxes and the contents. I settled for two snack boxes and I got just 3 sachet of ketchup for two whole meal box. Her attention was called to this and her reply was awful, had to leave because I was not really in the mood to go back and forth. 3 sachet of ketchup to eat two meal boxes is just the craziest and the most awful service I have ever experienced here in Limerick. Do better and be kind !!!

30/03/2024: I remember when BBQ spots started popping up in Dublin, with Pitt Bros, My Meat Wagon, and BISON leading the charge. Each had their strong points; BISON was my go-to for brisket. Fast forward to the present, and it’s clear things have changed. Pitt Bros and MMW have kept up the pace, but BISON has sadly fallen behind. Decided to give BISON another go while in town. We got seated quickly, which was a plus. However, it took 25 minutes for someone to acknowledge us, only to be told they’d be back in 5 minutes. Meanwhile, a couple who arrived after us got their drink order in before us. It took a full 30 minutes from sitting down to get our order taken, and another 30 for the food to arrive. The place wasn’t even busy. Now, onto the food - and not in a good way. The brisket was so far off the mark, it was like thin slices of roast beef, served with watery gravy. The sausage was tough, and the less said about the ribs, the better. The coleslaw seemed worse than what you’d pick up in a supermarket. My other half ordered a pulled pork burger, which turned out to be just chunks of pork on a bun that you had to pull apart yourself. Not exactly what you’d expect. Honestly, I don’t know why I thought of giving this a 2/5 initially. It was easily one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in ages, from the service to the food. I’m adjusting it to 1/5 because even the value for money was poor. A real letdown from what BISON used to be. It looks like BISON’s best days are well behind it. Lastly, this place should be two separate places on Google. The Bison Bar is still fantastic. The Bison BBQ restaurant is terrible.
