02/04/2025: My husband and myself dined this evening 5.00.for dinner and was very impressed the staff were very friendly and welcoming,the food delicious and service wonderful we were staying at Farnham Estate for a couple of days and had checked out here before we arrived and would recommend it to anyone x Not forgetting the decor loved it 💛🧡🩷

25/03/2025: My husband and I came to Cavan for a couple of days and ate here each evening as the food was so good! As a coeliac I had a huge choice in all courses, which is so rare. The food was absolutely top class and the service was amazing! Future trips will be planned to Cavan just to eat here again!

14/04/2025: Stayed overnight last weekend....staff so helpful and friendly. Had food in restaurant that evening and best food we had in a long time. Would highly recommend it. Madeline Murphy

18/04/2025: We stayed at McNean House on Wed last and all we can say is WOW! A really great experience from start to finish. Great location with plenty to see in the locality, great accommodation and, of course, a top class culinary experience for both dinner and breakfast. All carefully managed by Nevin and his excellently trained team, no detail is left to chance. Not to be missed!

12/04/2025: Just back from MacNean house. Amazing experience. The attention to detail was staggering. Although expensive if staying , it was still very reasonable and pricing for drinks, wine etc all well within expected ranges. If there is some foods you don’t like they will do their best to accommodate. We were also lucky enough to meet Nevin on the night. He talked to everyone, every table more than once and was happy to have a photo taken. He’s not there all the time , very busy schedule, so you might be lucky. We booked 14months in advance but there are last minute cancellation deals on their website. Nevin is a lovely man, and overall this was an amazing experience. Be prepared to eat a lot of very very good food.

24/04/2025: A lovely traditional pub with modern decor. Great for family dinner. Pasta was lovely and chicken (on special) dish was amazing. Kids meals were great too and a good size. Excellent value and great service by friendly attentive staff. Would definitely recommend.

15/04/2025: This hotel is a luxurious hotel. The service was fantastic. Food was delicious and the room was extremely comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay there and will definitely be back.

15/04/2025: Wonderful hotel with excellent restaurant. We took the red eye flight Chicago to Dublin, rented a car, and drove to hotel for an early check-in and nap. Very quiet room, super comfortable bed. Highly recommend the dinner- bed-breakfast package. Definitely saves money. We had filet mignon and lamb shank. Very polished wait staff. Best night sleep during our entire 10 day Ireland loop vacation. The open menu breakfast was diverse and filling.

01/04/2025: We had the loveliest Mothers day meal on Sunday. The food was as always fantastic - we had the Mothers Day set menu which had a fantastic selection of dishes. We opted for homemade root vegetable soup, goats cheese arancini, steak & pork belly & finished with apple & cinnamon crumble & a brownie. Every thing was cooked perfectly, making it a very special mothers day. Thanks to Nobby, Laura & team for looking after us so well.

08/03/2025: Dropped in last week for a coffee and met some old friends from Killeshandra I haven't seen for over 30 years They all looked a lot older than I remember and I do too.It is a plesent place to visit .With friendly staff and great food

30/04/2025: First time coming here and i have to say it was perfect. I had the fish and chips then the cheesecake after it. The service was also amazing. I dont give full 5 stars often but it is well deserved. Family of 5 fed and deserts for 90 euro which is worth it. Will 100% be returning

22/04/2025: ✨Stunning restaurant with great service Managed to visit over the Easter weekend. Really loved their vibe and beautiful setup inside. Bar lounge was cozy and comfortable to sit in for a couple of drinks before dining. Also bar staff took our dinner order from sitting so we were able to wait while having some drinks and go in when everything was ready. Starters and desserts were highlights of the day. Lamb pie and prawn filo pastry were delicate and scrumptious. Both of our main dishes, which were fillet steak and duck were both overcooked, lacking of jus so it was a little dry but portion was huge. Desserts were baked alaska and apple crumble. Both amazingly good and really sad that it was end of our meal. Petit four was there but one macaron and one caramel biscuit to share between two so we had to bite into each of them which isn’t really elegant if you’re dining with someone else. Overall, great experience and loved the foods, attentive staffs. Would love to come back for Sunday lunch menu.

15/04/2025: We were there for the fine dining experience. The food, the atmosphere & the service are simply Flawless. We went for the dinner menu on the weekend. Wouldn’t mind going there again to try their lunch menu!

02/04/2025: One of the best nights of my life. This was the experience I was looking for when I came to Ireland. The music, the pints, the whiskey.....all of it. The service was out of this world. The people were so friendly that I would go back just to pop in for one night. Thank you for the experience.
