02/08/2026: The services was lacking. When asked clearly for a slipt bill between our 2 famillies we ended up with a complet table bill. This was not an assign server like we are use to, so the other server doesn't probably know the split bill information... there was a lot of time between visit at the table. We asked for a new jug a water, it never came. I had to get up and find someone and ask again... however the decor is really beautiful but it is loud in there. The food was really good. Great quality. Great restaurant but laking in services during busy hours.

14/07/2026: This must be the best restaurant in Cavan town? Everything on the menu taste absolutely delicious, great selection for kids too and at reasonable prices. Great bar with good selection of cocktails 🍸🍹🥃 Compliments to the interior designer, beautifully decorated inside. Nice selection of outdoor seating too which is nice during the hot weather, although it's limited. Would highly recommend the beef cheeks or Wagyu burger 🍔🤤👌🏻

31/08/2026: The food was incredible. Best pizza in Cavan. The atmosphere was lovely. Our waitress Niamh was friendly and attentive throughout and really made the experience that much better! Will definitely be back. 10/10, would recommend

29/08/2026: Food was amazing, we didn’t have a booking and staff seated us straight away, they were so helpful and friendly, pizza was stunning, we came as a group, burger was 120% for taste I’m told, would 100% recommend coming here, we were just passing through and were so delighted with everything

14/09/2026: Very disappointing experience in the Oak Room restaurant in Cavan town recently. No consideration for a person with intellectual disability. Shame on the Oak Room Restaurant in Cavan town. Our family were celebrating our brother’s 50th birthday there. We were a party of 12 including my sister with intellectual disability. The Oak Room have a policy, very understandably, about customers bringing celebratory cakes into the restaurant. Simply put, if people eat cake they are unlikely to have dessert, so you can’t eat cake in the restaurant. Very understandable. However my sister with intellectual disability does not understand policies and did not understand why she couldn’t have cake and she really likes cake. I spoke to the manager of the Oak Room on the night and explained the problem we were having and that my sister was upset. I also said that it was just one person in our group of 12 and at least half of us were considering dessert. I was met with not just a ‘No’ but with a stony cold ‘No’, no understanding, no exceptions under any circumstances! Meanwhile at the table, my brother took a big spoon, dug into the cake and planted some cake on my sister’s plate! Happy sister. Getting nowhere with the manager, I returned to the table. Nobody ordered dessert and we asked for the bill. Outcome for the restaurant: 11 very disappointed customers; no desserts ordered; a bad review that will be retold over and over again. Shame on you Oak Room Restaurant in Cavan.

13/09/2026: I just got married and my husband and I held our reception here. Laura was very helpful and accommodating to our asks and made sure we were happy each step of the way. Maria was also super, she made sure on the day that everyone got what they wanted or needed. The food was out of this world. The head chef, Shane, is very talented and his team is amazing. Thank you all for a wonderful evening!

01/09/2026: Popped in for a quick lunch with the kids. Good variety on the menu. Really good helpful service. The food was of a very high standard. Will be back.

14/09/2026: What a wonderful find! Nomad Coffee has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, and truly excellent coffee prepared by an expert barista. The service was exceptionally kind and made us feel genuinely welcome. It is a colorful, creative, and memorable little gem that we would happily visit again!

23/08/2026: Pleasant atmosphere, good coffee, a place that also encourages local producers (you can buy fresh eggs, local jams, honey, coffee here) a cappuccino costs 3.5 euros, hot chocolate for children 2.5 euros.

12/09/2026: When we came in we were met straight away with menus. The waitress was so nice and really looked after us. The food was unreal and the portions were very generous. The small beer garden overlooking the river is also a gorgeous touch. I would definitely recommend the roast of the day.

By the time our wedding day arrived, we had complete trust in him, knowing everything was in safe hands. He delivered a flawless day that exceeded all of our expectations. 12/06/2026: Have never stayed in a room in the Crystal, but have attended baby sensory classes, popped in for a drink and even got married there as part of the Cavan registry office services. No matter what I've been in for, the staff are always wonderful, courteous and helpful! Today in particular our car died following a sensory class in the hotel and the lovely chap on reception (sorry I didn't get your name) called Freddy from Maintenance to see if he could help. We got the car going quickly and super appreciate how helpful and sympathetic everyone was as we had a small baby in the car too. This only solidifies in my mind how great the crystal is and how often I'll be recommending them to friends and family ❤️

25/08/2026: The food service and overall set up are really good. Really impressed until i went to use the toilets. The toilets are a disaster. I could only see two and they were soiled and very dirty. Company needs to address this. Perhaps have an attendant on toilet duty during busy times .

23/08/2026: Very fast pace extremely busy food was good but had to ask for our drink many times in the end we got up ourselves to get them.

29/06/2026: I had a wonderful meal last evening. The staff were excellent — friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and welcoming. The food was absolutely top‑class, full of flavour and great portions. Prices were very reasonable for the quality you get. A brilliant experience from start to finish. Staff, food, and price all 💯.

14/06/2026: Came back to this great eating pub after 6 years, really friendly welcome,had onion rings for starters and huge sirloin steaks cooked rare for main, the onion rings were really freshly cooked,hot and crispy and the steaks were cooked to perfection and tasted great,one of the best steaks I have had in a long time, all the staff are helpful and friendly and I can't recommend this place enough,it does get busy at peak evening times but they turn the tables round really quickly, not the cheapest meal but so worth it.

20/08/2026: Great Brazilian coffee shop with lovely atmosphere. Prices are lower than the rest of town. Cakes are served in plastic trays, very handy to bring home if you didn’t finish. Red velvet cake was delicious.

27/05/2026: The food and restaurant is good. Staff are very nice. However the room is a bit small and hot. There is a gap at shower curtain that the floor will get wet after taking shower though it could be fixed.

09/08/2026: Hate to be this person. Food was really nice but asked the staff 3 times if the soap in the women's bathroom could be replenished and it still wasn't. Seemed like it was just a inconvenience every time I mentioned but in all fairness most people want to wash their hands before and after a meal.
