The best restaurants in Cork

28/04/2026: I ordered from Haveli for the first time this evening. I ordered the prawn balti, pilau rice and a garlic naan bread. I have to say this was the best indian food I have eaten since moving to Cork. The food was fresh, good quality produce used. The service was fantastic. They said my food would be ready for 8.50pm and it was ready at 8.50pm. I wont be going any where else bar from Haveli for Indian food from now on. Excellent, tasty food. Would highly recommend 😊

08/02/2026: Malaysian curry with egg fried rice was delicious! Honestly one of the top five curries I've had in my lifetime. So flavourful. Staff were super friendly

08/07/2025: Over for the Celtic/Cork City bar and it's way too far out making a bit of a trek. Ok.

11/09/2025: The room was large, the beds comfortable, but the ceiling is peeling, there is mold above the shower and several areas of the floor where we felt like we were going to fall through. The staff were very welcoming, they stored our luggage for the day. There is a bar on the ground floor but we were not bothered by the noise at all. The hotel is located directly opposite the train station, with the city bus and city tour bus stop right outside the door.

13/05/2026: Chicken frie rice was very poor, it was boiled rice, a lot of peas and carrots and a few little bits of chicken. Didn't touch a wok in my opinion. 3 in 1 was ok. The ribs were a good portion and the sauce was nice.

04/05/2026: Got the Spicy Salt and Chilli Chips today and they had sugar on them, which I wasn’t expecting. When I called, I was told that’s just how they make them. I said it wasn’t for me and I wouldn't order that again, but got told, 'I could find them somewhere else, thanks' and she hung up the phone. Rang back and spoke with who I believe may have been the owner/manager and was told I basically shouldn’t be calling to complain, thats how they make them for the last 25 years . He felt she wasn't rude in how she handled the call as he was next to her. Fair enough if that’s their recipe, but the way it was handled wasn’t great.

29/04/2026: The sausgues were brunt but I didn't mind, when me and my mam got to our seats (the high up ones) there was crumbs and food left on the ground. The staff were very kind and nice though. But I do prefer the old Wilton restaurant.

22/04/2026: Visited "new" wilton bar. One word..disgusting. The food was reheated, dry, tasteless. I got vegetable soup that had a thick layer on top. Service was very abrupt. Could tell has not had hospitality training. New refurbishments have takes away from the charm of the wilton bar. No atmosphere. Pity

13/05/2026: Great energy from the team—the guy and three ladies were so welcoming. Lovely coffee and great vibes!

12/05/2026: Every time I’m in cork i come to this coffee shop! The coffee is divine, the staff are wonderful and their blueberry muffins have to be the freshest I’ve ever tasted. Just beautiful 🫶🏼

18/03/2026: I was waiting nearly 2 hours and then the delivery driver came and he was really disrespectful and tried to scam me of my money

20/12/2025: Absolutely disaster food.. regret why i ordered from here ..low standard food .. don’t understand english .. Ordered paneer tikka and they sent red sweet liquid curry .. bad taste

23/05/2026: I have ordered often but never again. Pizza burnt and chicken wings raw. I do not recommend!!!

01/05/2026: Ordered a large pizza, got toppings only in the inner pizza the outer pizza is was mostly empty with just cheese. Asked dominos spices but it was full of salt? I don't know how they managed to make pizza this bad. Made me appreciate the dominos in my small town so much more.

21/09/2025: Very unwelcoming staff. Food was sad and miserable. My pork roast was completely dried out, the rest of the food wasn't much better.

27/08/2025: Ate lunch here before flying out of Cork airport. We both ordered burgers. I noticed how quickly they came out and how fast other tables got their food too. I worked in hotels myself for years and that is not necessarily a good sign. The burgers themselves were ok but they seemed somewhat ready made. We both had upset stomachs by the evening time. I do not recommend. The staff and service were excellent. I can’t give more than 1 star because of the food issue.

09/11/2025: Really expensive and loads of annoying teenagers inside.

17/09/2025: The girl serving behind the counter was unfriendly, as if she didn’t want to be there and didn’t want to serve us. The milk was served in it’s original 2L jug and again just thrown there almost with words to the effect, if you want some milk here you go. The toilets had just been cleaned but they never replaced the soap and the soap dispenser was completely empty. All of this when the café was practically empty and the staff had not much to do. Never going back there again.

23/04/2026: It's part of the city and always a great place to catch up with friends.

12/04/2026: Place was dead last night went in to watch the masters. Got told to get out after showing valid id. Bouncer is an absolute gomey and not my first time having a problem with him.

21/12/2025: No joy with booking online so took a chance as a walk in..they found us a table no problem we just had soup and sandwich..very tasty,our server brilliant..maybe French chap..very enjoyable ❤️

21/12/2025: Came here for a family gathering, waiting staff good, attentive. Party of six, my order didn’t appear for 15-20 minutes after the other five orders. For me this is poor form and while they did apologise there wasn’t an explanation given. The food itself is fine it’s a safe menu but the seasoning is limited to salt and pepper and it was very much a soft texture diet lacking in much variety of texture. Prawns limp and most definitely over cooked.

24/04/2026: Visited the Douglas branch with a group of friends on the way back from a hike. We frequent the Blackpool branch, but thought we'd give the Douglas one a go this time. The service was extremely slow from start to finish. We initially ordered bone-in chicken but were told it would take 45 minutes, then switched to boneless breasts, which still took over 30 minutes. The chicken itself was well seasoned, but incredibly dry and overcooked. We also paid for extra dips which were forgotten, despite reminding the staff twice about the missing order item. All the self-service sauce bottles (around 20 of them) were empty and we were told that they won't able to refill them. The staff was inexperienced and inattentive, chatting amongst themselves most of the time. To make matters even worse, we were visiting the restaurant at 5pm (nowhere near peak-time) and there were just 2 other tables occupied. The staff even lacked basic courtesies like a thank you, or a goodbye, when we were leaving. The food itself was acceptable/mediocre, but the poor service overshadowed the experience.

24/04/2026: I am a regular customer of Roosters Piri Piri and am always happy with the service and food. I’m not a fast food fan but this place excels with good food fast! From their salads to their pittas, everything is tasty and fresh. Highly recommend their Rice Bowl and their half chicken (if you’re hungry). Top tip: if you’re getting the fries for takeaway - open the box they come in immediately to let out the steam and preserve the crispiness! Otherwise they go slightly soggy. The staff are efficient, helpful and professional. The atmosphere is a step up from your typical fast food joint but far more relaxed than a dining restaurant level. I have eaten here solo and with groups of friends and it’s always pleasant.

17/02/2026: Small portions ,they charge you more money than they show in the Menu ,you tell them and they only apologize. Quality /price is expensive
