19/09/2024: Unfortunately we chose to dine here tonight 18/09/24, I ordered beef curry&rice, my partner ordered prawn curry with rice and a bottle of house wine to share @€22 total bill just shy of €57, my partners prawns and rice were fine but the curry sauce was like runny yellow vomit with a few frozen peas chucked in, my beef was like leather, it was so sub standard that my Jack Russell 🐕 would struggle to get his teeth into it, I requested to speak to the chef to relay my dissatisfaction, but the waitress informed me that the chef was new and he doesn't speak/engage with customers or entertain their valid complaints/concerns but as a gesture of good will she offered to reduce our bill by €4 euro. In my honest humble opinion this is the worst Chinese restaurant that I have ever dined in, I have never in my lifetime left negative feedback for any restaurant or hostilely that I have visited and if it was possible to leave zero stars then I would have. I have no problems with the waitresses as they were very professional and efficient, but when the chef treats you with utter contempt and fails to address the issues at hand, that I do have a problem with, the food was sub standard and to me that's taking my hard earned cash under false pretences, by dishing up what's basically junk food. I do sincerely hope they learn some little bit from my honest feedback. We were the only two patrons in the restaurant at this time tonight. I wonder why??

23/11/2024: 15:45...full of empty tables and the waiter told there was no table available for tea or coffee..because they are organizing for dinner. Is this normal?

21/11/2024: I have filled out the restaurant booking form on your website, clearly mentioning that "we are planning a surprise party for my girlfriend. Our friends were to arrive earlier than us, and then my girlfriend and I would join, with the intention of surprising her at the table with a small cake and two balloons". However, upon our arrival, the first thing the waitress said was: "Your table is over there in the corner, your friends are there near the balloons." This unfortunately spoiled the surprise we had planned. Thank you!

06/07/2024: Got omelette mix beans and toast. Omelette only brought chickpeas, was very very salty, the toasts were proper burnt. 20€ for unpalatable and brackish food.... Coffee is lovely tho. Never again. Don't recommend for food.

17/12/2024: Old Style chipper. 2 Cod 12 euros large chips 4.50. Best chips in Glanmire. Best Fish in Glanmire. Excellent value.

06/12/2024: What should be a gorgeous old school pub is ruined by screens. There are 2 huge TVs behind the bar showing 2 different sports that no one was watching while I was there. Added to this were 2 bright advertising screens running Guinness adds. Their poor choice of strobing Christmas lights combine with the screens to create a very flashy amusement arcade like atmosphere. Service was friendly and efficient. This could be a beautiful pub.

13/11/2024: Visited yesterday for a solo brunch, but as I was sat there waiting to order I was able to see into the kitchen and see that everything was being microwaved to order. Kitchen is the size of a closet with a couple guys in there zapping plates to send out, and it doesn't seem like anything is actually cooked fresh. For the prices, I would expect a lot more. I'm grateful I was at the only table with a view into the kitchen so I didn't waste my day-off treat on a reheated ready meal. I just ordered a coffee and went to another cafe for lunch.

21/09/2024: I haven't ordered from this Chinese since a few months ago ,but I got it today and have to say it was gorgeous the satay sauce unreal ,beef black bean with mushroom and fried noidle ,aromatic duck wraps with housin sauce also lush

23/11/2024: I wanted to bring attention to an unpleasant experience today 23rd Nov 24 at the Mahon Point Food Court recently, which left us very disappointed. While enjoying a meal with my family, a group of four young kids—three girls and a boy, the youngest being the boy—were causing a significant disturbance. The incident escalated when the boy threw a full packet of crisps, which landed on our table, hitting my daughter and knocking over a full glass of Coke. The drink spilled all over us and our food, ruining the experience entirely. One girl in the group made a half-hearted attempt at apologizing, but it was neither serious nor meaningful. When I calmly told the boy that such behavior wasn’t acceptable and asked him to be more careful, the eldest girl in the group, who was extremely rude and disrespectful, started repeating, “Just stay away from him,” in an aggressive, rant-like manner. She completely ignored the fact that her group was at fault and failed to address their behavior. To make matters worse, they were laughing about the incident, showing no remorse or respect. It reached the point where my husband had to step in and explain that their actions had hurt my daughter, but even then, the eldest girl continued with her inappropriate attitude. This type of behavior not only ruins the dining experience but also tarnishes the reputation of the food court. It’s unfortunate that these kids, who clearly lack proper manners and supervision, are allowed to behave in such a disruptive way. Such incidents can drive potential customers away, as families like ours might hesitate to return if this kind of behavior goes unchecked. I strongly urge the management to consider implementing stricter supervision or security measures to ensure that the food court remains a family-friendly environment. It’s important to maintain a standard where customers feel safe and respected while dining.
