29/12/2025: This place sucked. Absolutely the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced didn’t even get a foot into the door before the hostess was outright rude. Couldn’t even bother to give us a wait time. Never ever go there unless you wanna be treated terribly.

07/09/2025: I’ve been to Golden Bites today, the new shop on Washington Street, with my young son. We were warmly welcomed, and the atmosphere was very pleasant and aesthetically nice. However, I do have some concerns. When placing my order, I made it very clear that my cappuccino should be made with oat milk (for health reasons I cannot consume dairy). Unfortunately, I received a cappuccino with regular milk. I didn’t complain at the time because I’m not the type of person who likes to create conflict at an establishment, but I mentioned twice at the counter that it should be with oat milk. Another point: I’m not sure if I was charged for two portions of grilled buttered bread since I received four slices, but I only ordered one portion, which I believe should be two slices. I also wasn’t given a receipt, so I couldn’t verify the charge. Once again, the environment is very pleasant, and the staff was kind and attentive. However, we have already experienced issues with delivery orders in the past — missing items, wrong orders, etc. I expected that visiting in person would be different, but unfortunately, the same kind of issues happened. This makes it a little difficult to want to return. I truly hope this is just something temporary due to the new location

23/10/2025: Seems to be only a haven for racist and fascist ideologies. Walking down the street, I took off a sticker for an openly fascist political party on a pole near the cafe. Almost immediately, three men ran out from the cafe, dressed in clothes that indicated they worked there. They screamed at me, threatened me, and intimated that they had put up the sticker. I have no idea if the owner holds these views or is aware that at least three people working there do so, but it certainly casts doubt on the cafe’s name and reputation.

11/09/2025: The room was large, the beds comfortable, but the ceiling is peeling, there is mold above the shower and several areas of the floor where we felt like we were going to fall through. The staff were very welcoming, they stored our luggage for the day. There is a bar on the ground floor but we were not bothered by the noise at all. The hotel is located directly opposite the train station, with the city bus and city tour bus stop right outside the door.

02/12/2025: Visited Dinky Donuts last week and ordered a crepe with lemon and sugar. I wasn't greeted politely and the woman with the shaved head working there, she barely even looked at me. Then I watched her make the crepe without gloves?? And she had her finger at the top of the lemon juice bottle, which to me personally is pretty disgusting. Having all my food handled by someone without gloves honestly made me more sick than hungry, so I didn't even end up eating the crepe unfortunately. I think this is strange because a few weeks before a lovely staff member made time and effort to greet me and was wearing gloves whilst handling everyone's food despite how busy it was, and my order came out delicious. This time it just felt lazy and rushed, and also there was a very big lack of health and safety :/

08/11/2025: Maybe it is our fault for trying crêpes from a doughnut shop, but the crêpes had barely any toppings on them. We ordered lemon and sugar and there were so little toppings that it was like we were eating plain crêpes. I will say I have previously had the doughnuts and they are very generous with the toppings. Just wish that the crêpes were the same for €6.50.

29/12/2025: Very disappointing. I was expecting much better. I can see why they lost their Michelin star.

03/12/2025: The food is good, it is the same than the takeaway but way more expensive. I was expecting an extra price for the location and the comfort to eat at the table, but I think the prices do not match with what is offered. I like the food but I will keep going to the takeaway

23/01/2026: Busy spot but the 3 of us were really pleased with our food. Service very quick and everything is freshly made to order. Staff are very helpful

23/11/2025: Saying it's the worst coffee of my life is a compliment because I call it coffee.

16/11/2025: I really like the coffee and the pastries. I am in love with the lemon pie and the pistachio cone. The staff is always cheerful and polite, which makes the experience even better. The only thing I would point out is to be a bit more careful with special requests. More than once I asked for a cappuccino with oat milk and received regular milk instead. Even so, I always come back because mistakes happen and I genuinely like not only the coffee but also the people. 😊

26/09/2025: New Great Wall is our favorite Chinese take-away. The delivery people, first of all, are always so sincerely friendly and it's so clear they're not expecting a tip to the point of reluctance. Absolutely classy people. The food is always piping hot, even if it's delivered. I've let it sit for 10-15 minutes before I could get to it and the chips are still toasty. They're really on the ball. And the food is the best version of your classic European-style Chinese takeaway. If you like their version of things, and we do, you can't go wrong with their consistency, professionalism, friendliness and welcoming personalities. We never have a bad expeirence with New Great Wall.

20/07/2025: Ordered on just eat as a delivery Had to pay €1 extra because of incorrect display delivery fee Extremely salty to the point it’s not edibles ( would be nice if I did not have to pay the €1 extra and if they ease up on the salt )

11/01/2026: We ordered 5 pizzas at 20:50 with a delivery time of 21:40. This time came and went. When we called they said they were on the way however 10 mins later they called and said they’d be leaving soon (clearly our order had been forgotten about and they were only making them!). They arrived finally at 22:30, nearly 2 hours after we ordered. While the food was nice, the service was so poor. If a mistake was made just admit it. We spent nearly €100 and only received the most transactional apology. Will never return. La Tana used to be a special treat - so disappointing.

26/11/2025: food is good, but we waited 2 and a half hours for food to be delivered.

14/01/2026: Just got Apache there usually usually get it most weeks absolute disgrace Pakistanis working in there called Food the kebab was absolutely disgusting. It was cold and Meet would remind her out of it. Something out of the freezer. It was disgusting but one order from them ever again and I was a good customer Get rid of the Pakistanis and put in the proper Irish staff. They can understand you as well on the phone.

03/01/2026: We ordered food at 9.35 and did not arrive until 11.15 an hour and 45 minutes later. We understand it was new years but there was no level of communication from the store and I am guessing the phone was taken off the hook because it would not ring for over 45 minutes as we wanted to cancel our order. When the food arrived the pizza was hot but could have been cooked a lot more as it was wet on top, the taco fries were honestly stone cold, they must have been sitting there a long time and the camberet bites were fine. If the order wasn’t leaving the store when I rang I would have cancelled and asked to be refunded. I am so disappointed with the food quality and the amount of time it took as we have used apache a lot over the past year especially for events such as my daughters christening and my sisters day 2 of her wedding. The only positive about the whole experience was the delivery driver, he was so apologetic and friendly. I submitted feedback online but still have not received any contact. Such a pity as it used to be a great takeaway and there are some lovely people working there.
