24/07/2026: I’ve enjoyed Zambrero in the past, although I’ve always felt the food is a little overpriced for what you get. Unfortunately, my last two visits have been really disappointing. On both occasions, I stood waiting at the counter for over five minutes while both members of staff focused solely on preparing Deliveroo orders. I completely understand that delivery orders need to be fulfilled, but it’s unacceptable to ignore customers who are standing right in front of you without even a simple acknowledgment or “we’ll be with you shortly.” Both times, I ended up leaving without ordering. I’ve also found the staff at this particular branch to be generally unfriendly. On a previous visit, I was asked if I wanted extras without being told they came at an additional cost until I got to the till. When I paid extra for guacamole, the portion was so small it hardly seemed worth it. After having the same experience twice in a row, I’ve decided I won’t be returning. A little customer service and basic acknowledgment would go a long way.

23/07/2026: On Thursday 23/7/26 my partner and I rambled in to Hoggies. We were walking into town and decided to stop for 1. What we experienced from the "barman" on duty was both embarrassing and degrading!!! We weren't drunk or argumentative. We were dressed neatly. I went to the bathroom while my partner called the drinks. When I returned the barman asked where we came from. Bare in mind we were known by a few lads at the counter who know us to be decent hardworking people. We told him we were from knocknaheeny and we were having a bit of banter between us. He put down the glass and said " not today". Lads No reason given. This is a disgrace. He profiled us because we were from a certain part of this city. We are not going to let this rest and are most definitely going to take this further. It was extremely embarrassing for both of us.

02/08/2026: No cards taken at drive through, noone answered the drive through ordering station so had to wait until I got to the window, and then wait for the food

26/09/2025: We loved to go to Dashi and it was our go-to takeaway in COVID times. I ordered for collection on a Thursday evening at 7pm, half of the sushi options were gone and the curry and udon noodle dishes (or at least parts thereof) were heated in a microwave, and it still took them 25 minutes to put the order together. The dishes lacked veggies and where mediocre at best, and I couldn't finish the seaweed salad. Very disappointed.

18/09/2025: Visited the place just for the first time, as I saw they have a lot of great reviews, and variety of options, but unfortunately were disappointed, as many of the ingredients weren’t just included. They show in the menu that the sushi has variety of ingredients, and a lot of interesting stuff like: asparagus, chive, chilli powder, and so, but unfortunately they just used instead of the asparagus the curcumber, and we had no chives or chilli powder, although we should have had😟 Also the trout sushi we had was half raw/and half cooked👀

19/07/2026: Ricky was amazing! He was very enthusiastic and cheerful and explained all the donuts in great detail. He could not have have been more helpful on this lovely sunny day. He made these three cork cailíns day so much better !

17/07/2026: The staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful but the worker on earlier this afternoon was especially lovely! Unfortunately we never got their name, but many thanks from the two girls desperate for a donut!

26/09/2026: Was in the queue for 5 mins and still saw nobody got served even with 2 people behind the counter, so I just left. Terrible Starbucks

24/07/2026: I've never been to a coffee shop that has never heard of an Earl Grey latte before. Maybe I'm just getting old and my go-to drink has aged out. Not a great start to my Friday morning. The people at the counter are exceptionally nice and helpful. The atmosphere is almost good. They play nice indie music but the speakers are awful and it creates a very unpleasant atmosphere to sit in.

17/07/2026: Very yummy vegan sandwich and very nice people working here!

26/07/2026: Went there for dinner. Expected to get a great meal, but unfortunately the lack of professionalism from the staff destroyed the experience. We ordered a prawn ratatouille, crispy baby potatoes and a salad. No problem with the salad; however, they brought me two separate dishes instead of a prawn ratatouille, as the chef forgot that it was prawn ratatouille and not the plain one. Also, the potatoes came BURNED. They didn’t charge for the extra prawns on the side, but it wasn’t the dish I ordered; that made me enjoy it less. I would expect greater service in such a known restaurant. Also, the knives on the table were dirty; it was absolutely disgusting.

05/04/2026: Beautiful surroundings but was very annoyed to realise I had spent €26 on 2 margarita cocktails only to realise they were a premade shop bought mix and not made fresh at the bar. I can buy the same bottle myself for 20 euro. Complete rip off and deception to your clientele

30/10/2026: Awesome! I love this cafe. The food is delicious and fresh, and if you download the app, you can collect coupons for free coffee. The place is spacious and beautiful, and the service is fast and very friendly. 100% recommended.

16/10/2026: Food is bang average but its all pre packaged so that doesn't say much. The red haired barista genuinely makes me feel like a scumbag for coming into the shop, she's a nightmare. Their hot coffee is nice, I have to specifically tell them every time what a dirty chai is and they never ever remember, which is fine, music is always way too loud and the tables have never been cleaned im guessing, always food everywhere and you can smell the toilet from the front door.

07/05/2026: Tasty quick bite. Seating is limited and very compact. I was practically on top of the table next to me. Very busy but the staff were nice and efficient. Goats cheese and tomato quiche was very good.

01/06/2026: We had Chicken Pad Thai. They made me a gluten-free version. Plus, there's gluten-free soy sauce and sriracha on every table. The flavor was incredible, with fresh ingredients. Water pitchers and glasses are available free of charge. The service is fast and attentive. I would definitely go back.

03/03/2026: My partner and I have been coming here regularly and it never disappoints. The food is very reasonably priced and always super tasty. The staff are attentive, friendly, and create a welcoming atmosphere every time even if super busy. Our special compliments go to the store manager, Jay. He consistently notices the small details that others might overlook and ensures that everything runs smoothly while maintaining a warm and organized environment. His attentiveness and natural leadership are clearly reflected in the team’s attitude. What stands out most is his thoughtful and composed approach. He leads with confidence, fairness, and genuine care — qualities that are valuable. One can see that he takes pride in his work and sets high standards, not through pressure, but through example. It’s truly refreshing to see such professionalism combined with authenticity. Jay is a real asset, and his dedication does not go unnoticed. Thanks again Ramen.
