The best restaurants in Cork

31/07/2026: I Ordered pizza as per the meal deal advertised outside the door. 2 x medium pizzas. I also ordered dips and was charged €25. When I got the receipt, I saw that the dips were free but they charged me €25 for the €21.95 deal. I asked the girl that served me and she said that deal wasn't available anymore. But the sign outside the door said it was? It's €3, not a big deal, but it's clearly advertised as €21.95. I got no satisfaction from the girl that served me, I have emailed directly and no one has been able to answer me as to why this happened.

14/08/2026: The lady serving us seemed to have very little understanding of good customer service. I ordered a 4-in-1 and asked for satay sauce. She brought it as requested, but there was so much satay sauce on the food that I could not eat it. I wish she had explained or warned me beforehand about how much sauce they normally put on it. Had I known, I would either have asked for less sauce or not ordered it at all. Good customer service is not just about taking an order; it also involves communicating properly with customers and helping them make informed choices. Unfortunately, that was missing from my experience.

22/08/2026: We ordered online for collection from Dinos Bishopstown. We normally go to the Ballincollig location, but after having a few disappointing experiences there recently, we decided to give the Bishopstown location a try instead. Unfortunately, we were left very disappointed again. When we got home after collecting our order, we realised that a garlic cheese chips, which was part of my meal, was missing. I then had to drive all the way back to Bishopstown to have it sorted. When I explained what had happened and asked if my meal could be remade, as it had gone cold after having to drive back out because of their mistake, the gentleman behind the counter made a face as though I was being unreasonable for asking. He said he needed to speak to a manager, which is fair enough, but while my food was being remade, both he and the girl at the counter were sniggering about the situation between themselves. I found this extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable, particularly when I was already inconvenienced by an error that wasn’t mine. I do want to mention that the Irish lady who I assume was the manager was absolutely lovely. She was very kind, apologised for the mistake and handled the situation professionally, so I have no complaints about her whatsoever. Unfortunately, the food itself wasn’t great either. The chips were stale and tasted as though they had been sitting around and then put back into the oil to heat them up. Considering the time and money spent, the overall experience was extremely disappointing. We genuinely hoped Bishopstown would be better than our recent experiences in Ballincollig, but unfortunately it seems Dinos has really gone downhill across the board. There are plenty of other chippers around that provide much better food and, more importantly, basic customer service and professionalism. I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time and money here.

15/09/2026: It's more of a fusion cuisine; the flavor is good and the staff is friendly. The children's menu is very good. And the Korean burger is very tasty and filling, but there's too much bread for too little meat.

19/08/2026: Beautiful food everything taste so fresh and always hot and the ice cream when you're finished cools down the mouth if you order anything a bit hot.

16/09/2026: It's not a BBQ place anymore. Burgers, Chicken and mini tostadas.

11/09/2026: Nice combination of bar, eatery, and bowling, billiards, and sports bar. Friendly people, young crowd.

19/10/2026: Terrible service and one of the employees is an absolute disgrace

11/10/2026: Found the place extremely dirty, food on the ground. The tables, chairs are not cleaned. Staff appear unkept wearing non McDonald's uniform clothing etc. Slow service and check your food order always missing items and burgers placed sideways in the take away bag. Toilets are one of the dirtiest I have seen. How McDonald's puts their name on this place. Not a relaxing or pleasant environment. The worst I have visited world wide.

25/08/2026: Chicken burger is dry ,leaves not fresh only sauce was good.Chicken pieces was used frozen it was not patties .Not happy to recommend anyone.

04/10/2026: Had a flat tyre and pulled in here I'm a healthcare worker so was on shift calling to people . I was completely flat couldn't use the air inflation machine so I went In to the shop last Monday night and a lovely make worker came out to have a look gave great advice and watched my car for me while I got back to work using my husbands van. He was a lovely fella. Thks a lot.

11/09/2026: Was waiting at the door at 6am to get stuff, shop was still closed. Staff member finally arrived (late) and said we open at 6.15 not 6. I said it was 6am advertised and got told well I've no till ready anyway so cant help you.

18/10/2026: Not even proper chips just a bag of left overs ! €8 for a bag of chips and ketchup is ridiculous for what my child got today more then half went into the bin as there was maybe 8 pieces of actual chips inside that bag !

11/09/2026: if you make yourself look really small you can get behind the counter and run around really fast and the staff can't catch you cus they're too busy being hard at work slinging mid pizzas

21/09/2026: Ordered a toasted burrito with no corn and no onion salsa. Received a untoasted burrito with corn and onion salsa and had about 4 pieces of chicken in it. Also ordered a portion of nachos with no guacamole, but ofcourse there was guacamole inside, and about 4 soggy tortilla chips under to heap of guacamole and other salsa

24/10/2026: Amazing Thai food! Brilliant service and the food arrives HOT! The server was very thorough, checking that everything was perfect for us. Highly recommend the Won Tons for a starter. All the curries we had were excellent and the teriyaki noodles with steak. Definately will be returning! Thank you!

27/09/2026: I used to adore this takeaway it is always so clean and staff are great. The chicken curry is normally amazing but over the last few week the chicken is different its like they are velveting the chicken or getting awful chicken it's so disappointing it tastes rubbery and cheap, I hope they will go back to the way it was

13/09/2026: Pizza daddy isn’t a restaurant, it’s a religious experience. After finally meeting daddy himself I can proudly say this is the cornerstone of Cork bistronomy.
