24/07/2025: I recently stayed at this hotel, and I have to say, the staff was a major letdown. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was bothering them. The front desk staff (Martha) seemed uninterested and gave off the vibe that they'd rather be anywhere else. Throughout my stay, I encountered similar attitudes from other staff members. Requests were met with delays, and it felt like pulling teeth to get any kind of assistance. It's a shame because the hotel itself had potential, but the poor service really dragged down the whole experience. I won't be returning, and I'd advise others to consider other options where the staff actually cares about their guests. We had tried to complain to the manager Joe about the attitude of his staff, he told us “customers like you are not worth being customers”.

05/08/2025: The food is wonderful and the place has a great vibe. However, the service could be improved. During my visit, there were three staff members inside the café chatting, while the outdoor area was full and the staff member assigned outside seemed overwhelmed. I understand that there may be designated roles for indoor and outdoor service, but when the outside is busy, it would be helpful if the indoor staff could step in and assist. More attention and proactiveness from the team would really enhance the overall experience.

05/08/2025: Best bar outside the city center, amazing little nooks to be left alone as well as large open areas for large party's or functions. Amazing bar food. Id like to see some unusual Irish whiskey on the shelf to complement the already unusual mezcals and other cool bottles. Top marks.

17/02/2025: Absolutely amazing food! The lady was just so lovely too!! Definitely recommend! Best Chinese I have tried in cork so far as the others haven’t been good!! The only thing I’d say is to let people collecting food use the bathrooms as well as dining customers.

08/08/2025: I adored O'Driscolls. Ben the barman was accommodating knowledgeable and welcoming. I saw him, several times remember anything order that the punter had forgotten themselves. I had great conversations with the customers, over several nights. Its such a great pub. I'd recommend it to anyone. Brilliant

21/03/2025: Where have Sicilian Delights been all my life! Went to the Marina Market yesterday and asked for a Takeaway Lasagna. The lovely lady behind the counter packaged it all up for me. Gave me extra sauce in a cup and cheese with the reheating instructions on top - it was beyond divine and I'm a lasagna woman anywhere I see it (I'm on par with Garfield). It was so beyond my expectations - I'll be back for more every time when I'm in Cork every few weeks. The chef needs a pay rise for that quality of food!

01/02/2025: The pasta was great here before they changed the menu. They have now upped the prices from €9 to €13 & reduced the portions. It is no longer fresh and now they serve a reheated pasta bake. Very disappointed 😞😞😞

26/07/2025: Fui aquí a almorzar y pedí un burrito. Cuando le pregunté si quería queso, le dije que sí, luego esparció en cuatro pedazos pequeños. Supuse que estaba empezando, pero luego pasó directamente al siguiente ingrediente. Le pregunté si podía conseguir un poco más de queso, y de nuevo añadió solo 4 o 5 piezas más. En ese momento, ni siquiera me molesté en preguntar de nuevo. Cuando llegué a la caja, me habían cobrado por “queso doble” encima de un burrito ya caro. Cuestioné IT, señalando la poca cantidad de queso que realmente había recibido, y me dijeron que el manejo es muy particular con las porciones de queso. Honestamente, IT era casi risible. Cobrar más por lo que no podrían haber sido más de 10 pequeños trozos de queso en todo el IT no es solo mezquino, es vergonzoso.

19/07/2025: I ordered on Deliveroo and received what looked like some used leftovers. I paid €19 so have it delivered. Really disappointed. I have had the one in Douglas and never had an issue but even the photo speaks for itself. I didn’t even try eat it.

02/06/2025: Absolutely phenomenal and friendly staff. Very appreciative of the cashier and manager. They more than took care of us when we made a mistake. Highly recommend.
