04/04/2025: Typically again. For over a year now. I've asked at ordering paying and collecting for salt napkins and straws. You would swear they pay for it or comes out of there wages. Asked to park and waiting for nuggets and a plain triple cheese burger this evening for 16mins. When I got home it wasn't even plain. What was I waiting for. And wait for it. They forgot the salt and the napkins

15/03/2025: Worst service I’ve ever experienced in Cork. Had booked and waited 45 minutes to be even offered water. We ended up leaving to go somewhere else and weren’t even offered an apology. Emailed to explain our issue and never received a response so will never return. I’m sure the food is good but if it’s a busy weekend absolutely go somewhere else because this place does not deserve your business.

21/12/2024: Wonderful experience at Aye for my fiancé's 30th birthday! Lovely setting inside. So comfortable and has a very chilled vibe. Food was delicious ! We did a mixture of a lot of different dishes. We got slow cooked lamb bon bons, crispy chicken, crispy confit duck, king prawn pil pil and a side of potato terrine bites. We got a complimentary portion of bread , vinegar oil and garlic butter. All the food was so fresh and tasty. Our server was a lovely lady who was extremely attentive and friendly. We went at 4pm and it was very quiet. Things picked up around 6pm and got more vibrant. Depending on weather you want peace and quiet or a bit of an atmosphere choose your timing accordingly. Price below includes all food, 3 glasses of wine and 4 bottles of Heineken zero ! Amazing value for this day and age

16/01/2025: Ordered a chicken supper which says it comes with a breast of chicken for 11 euro instead it arrived with a tiny wing with very little meat on it. The chips were just cheap frozen chips. Wouldn’t recommend

23/03/2025: We came in in a group, but were super rushed to order our drinks. When we said we weren’t ready to order yet, the waitress rolled her eyes and sighed, so we left . To be fair one of us left our jackets and she did bring it back.

14/02/2025: Very friendly staff and good service but food wasn’t good. Pasta al limone was inedible because it was so bitter and the tiramisu was frozen in the middle. Disappointing.

08/02/2025: recently visited Don gregorio, a fresh pasta spot in the city, with high expectations, but unfortunately, my experience was a mixed bag. I ordered the spicy pasta with guanciale, and I was disappointed to find that the dish didn’t include any guanciale at all. The pasta itself was clumped together, likely because it wasn’t loosened enough with sauce, and the sauce lacked flavor. For a restaurant specializing in fresh pasta, this was a letdown. On a positive note, the **mortadella focaccia** was excellent—well-prepared and flavorful. The **coffee and cannoli** were also highlights of the meal, and I’d definitely recommend them. One frustration was missing out on the **ragu special**, which is one of my favorites. I wasn’t informed about it by the staff but overheard the waiter telling other customers. It would have been nice to have been given the same opportunity to try it. Overall, while there were some bright spots, the inconsistency in the food and service left me underwhelmed. I might give it another try in the future, but for now, I’d recommend sticking to the appetizers and desserts.

15/11/2024: Owner's son lost his head at me for suggesting he waxed his eyebrows and threatened to break my face. Young man...you need to get a job and do something productive with your life instead of threatening customers of your Dad's pub

02/01/2025: Wife and I were out for the night, she was all dressed up and hoping to get ploughed. Found this fine establishment but unfortunately, Lee got there first. The wife got rode red raw in the cleanest jax she said she's ever seen. Enjoyed the nachos but I had to take two stars off because the telly showed the Irish lad getting kicked out of the darts and it was awful noisy in the place. Could have done with some live music. It was hard going alternating between the racket from the kitchen, the bathroom and the wife. Lee is some man, gave me a commemorative singing fish to take home.

01/01/2025: Was walking around town in the pouring rain looking for a place to watch the darts and came across this absolute utopia of a spot. Really welcoming vibe in there with great craic among both patrons and staff alike. Pints were amongst the finest this side of the Lee. The owner was shooting a few lasting glances at the missus but other than that a top top experience. I think at one point I even saw the owner unclog a rather nasty looking toilet. Was quite a Sight! Would recommend.

12/01/2025: I am ABSOLUTELY APPALLED by the service my family member got today !! We are regulars for years and that is the way they were treated today, and for it the be the owner to have that reaction towards a regular customer is an absolute disgrace. The ladies that work there are fantastic they always greet you with a smile, but safe to say because of the owner!! they will NOT be getting a thing from us after that. I’m sickened!!

17/12/2024: Old Style chipper. 2 Cod 12 euros large chips 4.50. Best chips in Glanmire. Best Fish in Glanmire. Excellent value.

17/07/2024: This full Irish breakfast that is just under €14.00 euros. Everything included in the full Irish traditional Irish breakfast. That is served all day. With prices and quality this restaurant has pushed its priorities to the limit with great satisfaction. The staff were more then happy to assist with the food ordered and  anything else that was required. The menu in this grill restaurant is simple, yet has alot to offer to satisfy your hungry needs, for all foodies. With quality food served in a comfortable spacious indoor seating area. With an interesting and attenative interior. This restaurant will definitely give you top rated quality food at affordable prices. Highly recommend.

01/07/2024: Breakfast Right on the money if you’re looking for somewhere to have a good old breakfast in Cork centre. The couple who run this joint make you feel so welcome and the breaky was spot on!

09/01/2025: Food is incredible. never disappoints does Dino’s and as a little kid i always used to go to Dino’s for the chicken burgers because they were absolutely out of this world! safe to say their mixed kebabs are LUSH!

17/02/2025: I was invited to a curry soirée over Christmas & all the food came from Spice Route. Everyone was blown away by the flavours, quality of the ingredients, succulent meats, naan breads, special fried rice all with very generous portions. I now get my Indian takeaways several times a month only from here. Asif does an amazing Phal chicken curry - best I’ve ever tasted in 50 years of eating curries! Amazing Indian cooking 🙏🙏
