Jade Palace
Cork
10/07/2026: Possibly the best refrigerated water I’ve ever had, it truly quenched my thirst like no other. It was kept at the best possible temperature, not too hot & not too cold where it attacked your throat. Great service from the woman at the desk and what a recommendation with the water (refrigerated edition). They had really nice prawn toast also.
24/05/2026: It was ok. Little bit underwhelming TBH. The guy seemed disinterested and very blunt. You have to order Egg Fried Rice separately, and the curry sauce (€2.50) separately. The disinterested guy serving didn't tell us that. All in all, It was okay, but Not sure how Nasti gave it an 8.8

Eco's
Cork
07/06/2026: Food was very poor and expensive
12/04/2026: I live near Dino’s and stopped going a few months ago because it was quite disorganized, the food was often cold, and the chips were undercooked.
I went back last Friday and was really impressed with the change! The staff were confident and knew what they were doing, and everything was running smoothly even with a long queue.
Big credit to the new manager, what a difference! Now I can finally enjoy my chips close to home again 😊

SOBA Asian street food
Cork
03/05/2026: I have bad experience yesterday
I bought Thai red curry & red Tom kha gai soup & I could not tell difference between them. Thai red curry did not felt like curry & consistency was almost wali to soup.
I most of the time eat here, but I was very disappointed with the curry standard.
Hope you take this recommendation & improve the curry consistency.

115 Cafe & Wine Bar
Cork
19/07/2026: Me and my friend were here yesterday, we ordered a carbonara and chicken goijons. The carbonara itself was nice but the pieces of bacon mixed in with it were burnt black and not edible! Also my friend asked for the veg to be removed but they would not remove the veg so she changed her order. It seems like it’s not fresh food and it’s packaged from the freezers!! I ordered a smoothie which took until I was already finished my food to arrive but by then it wasn’t worth the taste. The unfriendliness from our waitress wasn’t normal. DONT RECOMMEND
15/07/2026: the service is disappointing, even when it's not busy, u can expect to wait around 15 minutes just to place ur order. the tables are often left dirty, and the staff seem to prefer chatting and laughing among themselves instead of paying attention to customers. when they do come over, they often seem irritated rather than welcoming.
great food, but the customer service really needs improvement.

The Quays Bar Tapas & Grill
Cork
15/03/2026: On maps said it is open. However it was closed. Sunday 14:00
27/12/2025: My daughter & I visited the Quays bar today & had food that was reasonably good. Unfortunately the place was absolutely filthy, our shoes were sticking to the floor. Toilets were disgusting & absolutely filthy with no toilet roll & when we asked we were told there was none. I dread to think what the kitchen was like.

Maldron Hotel Shandon Cork City
Cork
27/07/2025: Excellent. One of the hotel mistakes of the trip.
24/07/2025: I recently stayed at this hotel, and I have to say, the staff was a major letdown. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was bothering them. The front desk staff (Martha) seemed uninterested and gave off the vibe that they'd rather be anywhere else. Throughout my stay, I encountered similar attitudes from other staff members. Requests were met with delays, and it felt like pulling teeth to get any kind of assistance. It's a shame because the hotel itself had potential, but the poor service really dragged down the whole experience. I won't be returning, and I'd advise others to consider other options where the staff actually cares about their guests. We had tried to complain to the manager Joe about the attitude of his staff, he told us “customers like you are not worth being customers”.

The Brasserie
Cork
08/03/2026: It has been the worst restaurant we had been in while. Especially that it is a part of hotel was expecting better. Food was not good at all, so dry and odd sauces. There was so much staff and yet no one was available to take order. Slow and constantly chasing staff to order food and drinks they avoided customers. So much staff just standing and chatting along themselves. Start taking down orders on paper, don't pretend you remember orders. There was only one girl that was nice and working.

Pearl River
Cork
25/06/2026: This restaurant easily serves the worst meal we have ever had. The hot and sour soup was not soup at all — it was loaded with so much cornstarch that it was more like rice paste. The Mongolian lamb was even worse. The vegetables and meat were merely blanched in water and thickened with piles of starch. We barely touched our food.
The moment the hot and sour soup arrived, I understood why there were no other customers. I told the waiter that the dishes were far too sweet and full of starch, yet he claimed that this is simply how Chinese food tastes in Ireland. Not only does this place lack business, but the staff also have terrible attitudes. Terrible experience.
18/06/2026: Dropped in for the early bird special. Was excellent €25 per head before 7pm entree and main and a drink. Great value huge serving sizes could not eat it all.

Apache Pizza
Cork
06/12/2025: Chips were not cooked, hardly get a takeaway as its so expensive so very disappointed for the kids.
29/11/2025: Ordered from here for delivery. Took over an hour (I live a 5 minute drive away). Food was COLD. Driver wasn't very pleasant, he couldn't take the food from his delivery bag and hand it to me, instead just opened it and stood there whilst I took it out.

Domino's Pizza Ireland
Cork
12/07/2026: 45e for a family feast. Italian base pizzas way overcooked, and chicken way undercooked. When I complained I was told I didn't understand how the Italian base was meant to be lol.
21/06/2026: Friendly and professional staff
But the food was really disappointing. Super expensive, bland and undercooked. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I have had frozen pizzas that have been better than the pizza here

O'Briens Sandwich Cafe
Cork
26/06/2026: I ordered scrambled eggs and toast. Miserly portion of egg. Person serving unfriendly and full of attitude. My wife had a diet coke as a drink. Not offered a glass and had to queue again for a glass while my pathetic portion of egg went cold.
23/06/2026: I had a really disappointing experience at your Mahon Point branch today that I wanted to bring to your attention.
I ordered a turkey sandwich on a seedy roll. When I went to the till, there was a slight mix-up where my mocha and the sandwich were accidentally rung up as two separate transactions. The staff member at the till seemed visibly annoyed about having to process the sandwich separately, which wasn't a great start.
However, my main frustration came with the pricing and the order itself. The menu price for the sandwich was €9.95. The server asked me if I wanted it toasted, which I agreed to. It was only after paying that I realized the price had jumped to €10.95. Charging a full €1 extra just to toast a sandwich is quite steep, but my main issue is that this "toasting fee" was never communicated to me. Being asked "Would you like it toasted?" sounds like a simple preference, not a premium upgrade. If there is a surcharge, staff should really state it upfront.
To top it off, when I got to my car, I discovered there were no crisps included with my sandwich. Usually, if you don't take away, a side of crisps is included. It feels incredibly unfair to be charged an extra euro to have a sandwich hot, only to receive *less* than what comes with the cold version. Because the transactions were split, I also missed out on the benefit of a meal deal.
I left feeling like I paid more and got less, all paired with poor communication and a bit of attitude at the till. I really enjoy O'Briens, but this left a very bad taste in my mouth. I hope this feedback helps improve transparency and staff training at the Mahon Point branch.
