The best restaurants in Cork

30/09/2025: Nice very clean chip shop in Cork. Staff here were friendly. These were probably the best chips I've had in a few years. The chicken fillet burger was good too, nice and crispy. The only thing that wasn't that good were the mushy peas. They were a bit watery and didn't taste of much, so I probably wouldn't have those again. I definitely recommend this place for a good feed if you're in the northside of the city.

07/09/2025: Really really disappointing place in general. The interior was quite dingy and stuffy. The place looks quite careless thrown together with random stuff on the walls and a pool table that it is not in use. A group and I tried to watch an Irish soccer game there one night. The commentary was 5 seconds behind the visuals and one of the screens was glitching. The women insisted everyone at our table bought something when actually 4 out of 5 of us bought something. She was quite rude, blunt and ill mannered. It really made us feel uncomfortable, unwanted and unappreciated. Out of the 100s of great pubs in Cork, this is definitely one of the to avoid.

18/07/2025: Though I've never been a customer of this bar. The auld one who runs the bar needs to realise that the bar does not own the parking space outside the bar and by placing kegs outside the premises, does not mean that the general public cannot park there. The woman who works there shouting abuse at me last week which was totally uncalled for.

16/06/2025: I received the delivery from this store. It was not the first time I ordered. This time I received terrible food. The duck was bad and without sauce at all.. The soup was disgusting.. There was a lot of vinegar and it tasted like a rotten lemon. We called, talked about the problem.. We were offered a discount of 5 euros for the next order. We replied that there would be no next order.. And that we will bring this food and return it to them.. We were told that the cook has been working there for 30 years, and that all the food is prepared at once and according to one recipe.. We brought the food back, we got a refund for the food, but they didn't get it back for the delivery.. The evening is ruined, there are hungry 🤷‍♀️

02/09/2025: The kebab was the sloppiest thing where you couldnt pick it up or eat it . The smallest amount of salad was placed in it and the lettuce just went slimely under the meat. There was so much sauce I thought it was melted cheese at first. Portion size small .Standards and food have massively dropped .

30/11/2025: Standards not as good as other dinos , no peas or tarter sauce on fish supper even after they were confirmed with order at counter , curry sauce cold and watery, chips undercooked and hard low quality .

23/09/2025: Dinos douglas has gone to the bin! Ever since the Irish girl Sarah left the chipper, the food quality has been horrendous. The asian lady working at the store makes the worst food, it’s definitely not fresh and you could just tell that the fish, chicken and dips are stale. The quality that dinos has in other stores like Grange and Turners cross is nowhere near compared to the likes of the Douglas store. The food used to be nice but ever since the asian lady has been making the food, it has been unhygienic, dirty and will definitely give someone food poisoning. Douglas dinos is really really awful now and should be avoided at all costs.

02/01/2026: Most expensive roll in Cork? I've been a customer of the deli here for a good 20 years, but I've found their prices and habits of overcharging have just gone crazy. Despite advertising prices for various rolls, no matter what you get in it, you will be charged the highest price. I've often got a 4-5 item roll, and you will still be charged for 8 items. I recently started to ask for the 8 items, out of principal, and now they are charging €7.50 for a breakfast roll. False advertising and overpriced. Insane.

12/12/2025: Food was good. Genuinely good smash Burger, nice chips too. Shame about the price. I hadn't been in a while and they raised the prices. €19 for a bacon cheese burger meal + dip is very steep. Probably won't to back for that reason alone. Also it took 40 minutes. It varies a lot. Bear that in mind.

16/09/2025: Very mediocre burger, patties dripping in oil. Didn't feel well after eating it. Chips were alright. The size of a burger tho, quite pathetic. For a place that does only burgers, I expected sth better, while I'd rather go to Burger King next time and get 2 small burgers except one for this price.

05/07/2025: I stumbled upon Curry House last week, and I’m so glad I did! The food is absolutely amazing. The onion rings were crispy and golden, and the curry sauce on the chicken skewers was rich, nutty, and full of flavor. You can tell everything is freshly cooked. Definitely my new go-to for a treat!

15/11/2025: Food is lovely but I placed an order 1 hour & 40 mins, still hasn't being delivered. By the time it comes it'll more than likely be freezing. Usually service is good but last few deliveries I've had has being below par. An hour is OK to wait but this is taking the peeeeaaaas

19/09/2025: food was fabulous as always 10/10 beautiful curry, and lovely chips, best chineese food around, highly recommend, also the spare ribs in peeking sauce and the salt chilli duck is out of this world. the lady behind the counter fiona is so friendly and so good to my son always so friendly great food great service,

26/10/2025: Quite possibly the worst spice bag I've ever had. No veg in it. Just chips and rock hard shredded chicken. The spice was literally just a powder mix thrown in with the chicken a chips. Terrible quality.

28/12/2025: The pizza at Luciano's hasn't changed in 30 years, that is some achievement!. The prosciutto is by far my favorite and each bite is a little bit of heaven. Now keep in mind your cholesterol is not going to be the better of it but hell, it'll be worth the heart attack!

08/02/2025: recently visited Don gregorio, a fresh pasta spot in the city, with high expectations, but unfortunately, my experience was a mixed bag. I ordered the spicy pasta with guanciale, and I was disappointed to find that the dish didn’t include any guanciale at all. The pasta itself was clumped together, likely because it wasn’t loosened enough with sauce, and the sauce lacked flavor. For a restaurant specializing in fresh pasta, this was a letdown. On a positive note, the **mortadella focaccia** was excellent—well-prepared and flavorful. The **coffee and cannoli** were also highlights of the meal, and I’d definitely recommend them. One frustration was missing out on the **ragu special**, which is one of my favorites. I wasn’t informed about it by the staff but overheard the waiter telling other customers. It would have been nice to have been given the same opportunity to try it. Overall, while there were some bright spots, the inconsistency in the food and service left me underwhelmed. I might give it another try in the future, but for now, I’d recommend sticking to the appetizers and desserts.

04/03/2025: Terrible, I ordered a lamb kebab with only lettuce and garlic sauce, I talked three times to the attendant, and he in front of me told the boy, and even so they gave me a kebab with all the ingredients, a lot of incompetence. I don't recommend it.

11/02/2025: Good fried chicken restaurant. Alternative for KFC. I would say better than KFC. Unfortunately last time I went to this restaurant they stopped Chicking. Now as an alternative they started pizza and shawarma. And also they sell South Indian dishes. South Indian dishes are the best. Need to try.
