The best restaurants in Cork

29/08/2026: This is going to be my Google review so disappointing we go here every now and again as a treat staff we’re so rude cracking her knuckles as she served us Absolutely shocking experience. We ordered all of our food together, yet it came out in different stages, leaving some of us eating while others were still sitting there waiting. By the time we eventually had everything, half of the food was cold. The chips were like rocks — hard, dry and practically inedible. The onion rings were cold and burnt, and as for the chicken, the photos speak for themselves. After opening it up and seeing what we were served, we certainly weren’t going to eat it. When an entire order is placed together, it’s reasonable to expect the meals to arrive together, hot and properly cooked. Instead, we paid good money for food that was cold, overcooked and extremely disappointing. Most of it was left behind. A complete waste of money and without a doubt one of the worst meals we’ve been served. Definitely won’t be returning to Dinos Ballincollig

25/08/2026: Overall a good shop and I always have a good experience. I come here often and I get the impression that they are understaffed, especially when it’s busy. The food is always nice

24/07/2025: I recently stayed at this hotel, and I have to say, the staff was a major letdown. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was bothering them. The front desk staff (Martha) seemed uninterested and gave off the vibe that they'd rather be anywhere else. Throughout my stay, I encountered similar attitudes from other staff members. Requests were met with delays, and it felt like pulling teeth to get any kind of assistance. It's a shame because the hotel itself had potential, but the poor service really dragged down the whole experience. I won't be returning, and I'd advise others to consider other options where the staff actually cares about their guests. We had tried to complain to the manager Joe about the attitude of his staff, he told us “customers like you are not worth being customers”.

17/07/2026: Got a full chicken absolutely beautiful it was was delicious was on the verge of eating the bones 😂😂

05/07/2026: Food was poor I dont know what kind of chicken was in my wrap but it definitely wasn't chicken breast dont really have anything good to say about it so ill just leave it at that

02/09/2026: Too slow. Too expensive. Bad service. 20 minutes to get one beer. We needed to complaint after 10 minutes so they start preparing the waffle. They were eating inside while working. Not recommended.

19/08/2026: We were close by for an event and decided to pop in for a quick bite to eat. The staff were helpful and fun with a good bit of banter , the food was delicious and presented well and the location for people watching was perfect. I would 100% go back as I really enjoyed the whole experience

08/08/2026: Very tasty, but unfortunately it was quite dry. It would be much better with some mayonnaise or another sauce.

22/07/2026: I only got a cup of Tea to take away and a vegan scone. It cost €7;10. Thats a crazy price. Tea normally retails for about €3.50 to €3.80 in most places which would make the little Vegan scone about €3.60. I am aware everything is costly but that is ridiculous. Nice friendly, chatty staff, Clean establishment with a wide variety of food and cakes

12/07/2026: 45e for a family feast. Italian base pizzas way overcooked, and chicken way undercooked. When I complained I was told I didn't understand how the Italian base was meant to be lol.

21/06/2026: Friendly and professional staff But the food was really disappointing. Super expensive, bland and undercooked. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I have had frozen pizzas that have been better than the pizza here

06/09/2026: Ramen Asian Street Food Dennehey’s Cross Cork 14.08.2024 7:55pm My wife, my 10-year-old son and I are visiting Cork from Sydney Australia as I’m from the city originally. I asked the young lady at the counter how do I order and she said sit down and she will give me the menus which she did. My wife went to the counter and ordered the food and during the transaction she was told by the gentleman behind the counter it was takeaway only because they don’t have any bowls or cutlery available. It was fairly evident that there were plenty of bowls at the side of the window, plus we could see that many customers were eating from plastic cutlery on the tables provided. I then went up and spoke to the same gentleman. He repeated the same thing to me but he obviously was not telling the truth and just making an excuse not to have the tables occupied. I even offered that we would eat at the table and throw away everything ourselves so they didn’t need to service the table but I was refused. For some reason he did say that he had no staff to clean the tables either but 5 minutes later he was clearing the tables himself. At one stage I counted 7 tables occupied and 12 tables unoccupied including those outside. I have never experienced such bad service in my life and my wife spoke to the gentleman on leaving to tell him so. It was obvious he didn’t care for his customers as he kept defending his actions. Needless to say we won’t be going to this chain anymore as a whole experience has left a bad taste in our mouths. 08/03/2026: It has been the worst restaurant we had been in while. Especially that it is a part of hotel was expecting better. Food was not good at all, so dry and odd sauces. There was so much staff and yet no one was available to take order. Slow and constantly chasing staff to order food and drinks they avoided customers. So much staff just standing and chatting along themselves. Start taking down orders on paper, don't pretend you remember orders. There was only one girl that was nice and working.

16/06/2026: Our go to place, may be visited 1 to 2 times a month every month for the last 2 and a half years , never disappointed

24/07/2026: Charred Flatbread was amazing and fish and chips looked good. One member of our party had to send vegetable curry back as the vegetables were hard and undercooked, and the Summer Eton Mess wasn’t fresh with dense meringues and a singular soft strawberry. Service was friendly and good though - shout out to Grace !!

14/07/2026: “Catch of the day” was a grilled hake which was stale and was obviously cooked the day before. Totally unacceptable for a €23 dish and had to send back. Also not much variety of dishes which is not good for a couple of days stay.

09/09/2026: I placed my order at 17:31 and didnt receive my food until I went up to ask at 17:51. I wouldn't mind but I was the only customer in the restaurant for most of that time and the staff were mostly standing around chatting. The food was nice but service could do with some work.

05/05/2026: Delivery service is bad. Constantly forget about your order. Dont answer the phone. Takes nearly 3 hours for delivery if not more. The times I did have food was lovely but customer service not good.

14/04/2026: Fabulous really enjoyed it. Would definitely go back. Food was amazing. The room could do with a fresh clean.

01/12/2025: I’ve never left a google review before but the chicken in this place was so bad I feel obligated to warn anybody else who tries ordering from here to Stay Away. I got the ginger and spring onion chicken and it was genuinely inedible and cost nearly 13 quid.
