The best restaurants in Cork

19/12/2024: Beautiful location, rooms are well appointed, friendly staff. The restaurant is rather average compared to the city standard, however the atmosphere is calm, ideal for elderly people. The hammam and sauna are a real plus but the jacuzzi almost killed our asthmatic friend, it also lacks a diving board for the swimming pool but it's still a plus. The breakfast is well provided, but is not renewed every day, which is a shame. Room level despite rather pleasant comfort, there are still a few downsides: -No brush for the toilets, too bad when your friend has gastro... -The TV is not very practical to start. -Single mattress a little too narrow, I was afraid of falling several times. -The tourist terminal is very practical in addition to having a zoom function. To summarize a good hotel which could be better with small changes.

15/12/2024: 2 Night Stay and an absolute mess... LIVE ANTS in the room on the bed and in the bathroom. Was offered a diferent room but how could this be posible in a 4 star hotel? No parking at the hotel 15 spaces at the front all taken 24/7 not a chance of you getting one. Discount provided for parking 2 minutes away but yet discount is less than 50% and you still end up paying a good bit just to stay here over night. Food in the restaurant is OK. DO NOT RECOMMEND! Will not come back.

15/11/2024: I've been here a few times and I've never had an issue, it's always clean and the staff are always very nice The coffees are really good value because they're massive. Their medium is about the size of a usual large. The sandwiches are overpriced but it's the same in any similar coffee shop.

24/07/2024: Have visited the Noodle. Both beef ramens (normal and hot) were terrible and tasteless except for the meat in it.

16/12/2024: Classy and cosy at the same time. Good selection of food and drinks. Gluten free options. Great staff.

15/12/2024: Bad. The portions were okay sized but turkey and have had 1 tiny slice of ham in a standard portion. The spaghetti had little to no sauce with the same sized portions massively ranging in size. I wouldn’t recommend.

29/11/2024: Recently I was invited to dinner and I ordered chicken with organic rolls and fries and I have never eaten such bad food. How can you do normal hand-held breasts wrong? The wrong dessert was brought and when we asked why, we were told that the lady didn't know what the dessert we ordered looked like. Disaster.

22/11/2024: My parents had a beautiful lunch here today - the service they got was excellent and the food was gorgeous. Especially the birthday dessert plate that they so kindly surprised my dad with for his 79th Birthday! It was such a lovely kind gesture and he was thrilled. Thank you so much to Tracy and Sandra for looking after them so well x

18/09/2024: I always bought it, but the last time, my order come wrong, and I asked the manager of Tower Street answered me super badly, asked me for the proof, passed me his WhatsApp I sent my request and he shouted at me on the phone, said that I did not know how to ask, that I was going to do myself a favor in sending another just because he wanted to, I ordered without pepper because I am allergic and he was more rude to me, to the point of screaming on the phone, I totally lost the urge to eat.

28/06/2024: Food is so tasty. Used get a baguette but since they started the jumble box I've been getting them. Very tasty and a good price with a can of drink

13/10/2024: Fantastic experience, firstly met by very friendly staff, seating super comfortable, staff explained all dishes and gave advice on which would be best as per tastes. Food was hot, tasty, full of flavor and served quickly. Music playing in the background was authentic and relaxing. Highly recommend this tapas place, best so far in Cork and the prices were so good, we will be making it a regular spot. Many thanks to Barbara.

30/10/2024: Staff have a really bad attitude. Got my coffee order wrong and didn’t apologise but rather told me I must have ordered wrong. My colleagues go in all the time and order the same thing but there is no attempt by the staff to learn their usual orders. They have to constantly be told the same order everyday and still they regularly get it wrong. Not typical at all of any good coffee shop. Super cheap management too. They have a stamp card that requires 12 stamps instead of the usual 10 and on top of that it only applies to coffee and no other type of drink which is ridiculous. I ordered their chicken sandwich that had about 3 shreds of chicken in it. The price of the coffees are extortionate. Way more expensive than anywhere else near them which is especially insulting because their coffee is disgusting and acidic. The atmosphere is choking. No room to swing a cat in there and barely enough room to stand while waiting for your coffee. Overall very poor on every level.

17/08/2024: Ordered two sandwiches one chicken n one veggie Also a tea and americano The sandwiches were very greasy and we couldn't eat them the coffee tasted like instant. The whole place needs a good clean I witnessed the server cutting a sausage up on the side without using a board. The service was poor no manners whatsoever. The toilets were disgusting very dirty . Can't understand how they haven't been shut down. I wish I had read the reviews before going but it was raining n we had our dogs with us.
