16/08/2025: Very tasty tikka massala. Very friendly service: We asked for an extra pappadum and got it free of charge. Would certainly recommend!

27/07/2025: Very bad experience, Mentioned has rumali roti which comes with the wraps of paneer/chicken but i have been served a toasted tortilla wrap.

19/08/2025: Poorly prepared food, drink only 70% full, napkins and straw omitted. Was once an excellent drive through. Sadly has gone down hill on quality control and organisation.

13/08/2025: The Limited Edition Sprite with Green apple and Sprite with Mango Passionfruit, looks far from the advertisment and the taste is very ordinary. This is all I can say about this visit.

22/08/2025: Have a very bad experience after ordering a chicken burrito from this place through Deliveroo on the 20.8 around noon. Within a few hours, I started feeling extremely bloated and unwell, and soon after I developed severe diarrhea that has continued for two days now. I have been feeling very weak and unable to eat properly two days in a row now. I noticed that another customer mentioned that they and three of their friends also suffered food poisoning here, which makes me strongly believe that this was the source of my illness as well. This has been one of the worst food-related experiences I’ve ever had, and I would advise others to be very cautious. I'm burritos and blues customer for the 10 years.

19/08/2025: Myself and two friends ate in the Marina Market stall and all 3 of us ended up with a pretty severe stomach illness . All ate different meals but had the same meat option, and woke up with what felt like the symptoms of food poisoning in the middle of the night. Dissapointed with the owners response as I reached out and assisted in letting them know all details of the visit.

24/07/2025: Lovely place. Dog friendly corner, and large dog free area to suit all. Delicious choice of sandwiches, quiches, sausage rolls etc as well as sweets. Had the Brie and Bacon ciabatta and apple pie after both of which I'd highly recommend. Very friendly staff too.

14/07/2025: had a refreshments here after a few hours in The Range - hit the spot - lovely atm - Victoria was great - gorgeous brown bread and cake - tea and coffee... relaxing and comfortable - felt revived afterwards and wasn't expensive unlike another place near by.. products are home made too - either on site or from local sources - a great find..

12/08/2025: Good location in Cork; but be careful, the rooms on the courtyard side overlook an alley where there is a homeless center; so lots of junkies in the street at night yelling and insulting each other!

12/08/2025: + Clean rooms + Good breakfast buffet + Staff - No A/C in rooms - Homeless shelter beside the hotel, area is very rough. Didn't feel safe.

25/08/2025: My family and I had a wonderful meal this weekend at the New Yorker. The menu had lots of great options for small plates and mains and the food was quite good. But the whole experience was greatly enhanced by the wonderful service from our server, David. From his first interaction with us, he was engaging and humorous and he maintained that level of warmth and professionalism through our meal. He truly enhanced our dining experience. If you are heading to the New Yorker soon , ask for David by name. He makes the whole experience better.

21/08/2025: Was there with family. Our server Aoife was amazing and really helpful. Food and rinks were lovely. Would highly recommend.

30/08/2025: 30/08/2025: Sadly, I have to amend my glowing review from 8 months ago. Tonight's visit was nothing like the last one. No vegan cheese, no other vegan options on the menu and no offers from staff to amend any pasta dishes either (all things we were assured were the case 8 months ago). Went for a pizza without any cheese as that was out only option. Then, we were one dish short when the food came - they had forgotten one pizza. No offer to bring a small salad or a slice of bread or anything for the person left without food while the other three ate (food would've gone cold). Which created an uncomfortable atmosphere at the table with three people feeling guilty for eating and one person watching the rest eat. Not nice. When the forgotten pizza finally came, it was half burnt on one side, so we returned it. Didn't ask for a replacement as things had gone on too long by now. Staff didn't seem overly bothered. Left us sitting among empty dishes for ages later before anyone came and cleared things away and asked if we wanted dessert. Nasty draft from the front door that wouldn't close properly unless someone pulled it closed. One of us had to get up 4x to close the door after people coming or going - staff didn't notice a thing. Overall, aside from the fact that Sliced is taking a big step back now by not catering to vegan customers anymore, it seemed like staff didn't care much about anything (coffee was weak, draft from the door, dishes piling up, one dish from the order forgotten). Any one of the issues tonight wouldn't bother me as things can always go wrong, but the sum of it does. Sad to have to take this off my list of options for a nice dinner out now. ------- Went with two couples tonight; two vegans and two omnivores. There were no obviously vegan options on the menu, but we were told they had vegan cheese, so could make us whatever pizza we chose with that. Service was really nice and the food was excellent, both vegan and non-vegan. We had a lovely dinner out, everyone was full and happy at the end.

12/08/2025: Went there on a midweek evening, pizzas are lovely. I had chicken, chorizo, and a parma pizza. The chorizo wasn't nice but the other toppings were lovely. Service was great.

08/06/2025: The most slow service bar I have ever experienced.In my life.Across continents.They clearly serve locals first,even locals acknowledged it.And it was not even busy.Dont waste your time going here.I only went as at a party.The service is REALLY slow.

24/07/2024: Nice pub. Good atmosphere. Service was pretty slow, but there was a birthday party so I'm willing to believe that was the reason. The problem for me was the lack of vegetarian options: the only vegetarian options were a plate of pesto pasta and 2 pizzas. As an Italian visiting Ireland, I'm not going to a "traditional Irish pub" to eat Italian food. I expected at least one slightly typical vegetarian option (even a burger would have made it tbh). My boyfriend's stew was excellent though. Fair prices for a fancy Irish pub. Big extra point for the desserts which were excellent.

29/06/2025: We just called in for a quick drink. It is quite large and spacious, no problem getting a seat. We didn't have food so I can't comment on that. Really nice place.

08/06/2025: Disappointing customer service.. We attended a charity event at the Castle tonight and had a fantastic time overall—the band and food truck were excellent. Unfortunately, our experience was soured by poor service at the cocktail bar. I had to call the owner, Ronan, to get a bartender to attend to us. We ordered six Pornstar Martinis (€78 total), but when they arrived, they were undrinkable. When we raised this with the bartender, she simply said, “That’s how we serve them.” I spent 30 minutes trying to find Ronan again and was eventually told he was likely in his office. When I finally spoke with him and showed him the untouched drinks, he asked, “What do you want?” I asked for a refund since we couldn’t drink them. His response? “Get your refund and get out.” After such a lovely evening, I left feeling shocked and disappointed by Ronan’s rude and dismissive attitude. When my partner confronted him about his behaviour toward me, Ronan didnt speak to him like he did with me .It’s hard not to feel that he reacted this way simply because I’m a woman challenging him on poor service. Ronan, your response was unprofessional and unacceptable. I expected better.

07/07/2025: Staff were grand but I asked for a matcha to go and was charged a euro extra than what was on the menu. They should say why they charge extra anyways the matcha is just sweet green milk. For 7.25€ i expected a really good matcha but instead I was really disappointed. Womp. Don’t get the matcha

21/07/2025: Nice Starbucks, but there is a smell of stale milk when you come in. Staff can be a little distracted and not notice you’re there and a bit slow. The toilets could do with a clean also.
