There's a semi-covered outdoor area, which is very comfortable; during the week, it can be a quiet, intimate space for long conversations over a good beer. On weekends, there's almost always live music, with guys singing and playing guitar, and everything takes on a country vibe. Recommended!

19/07/2026: Ricky was amazing! He was very enthusiastic and cheerful and explained all the donuts in great detail. He could not have have been more helpful on this lovely sunny day. He made these three cork cailíns day so much better !

17/07/2026: The staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful but the worker on earlier this afternoon was especially lovely! Unfortunately we never got their name, but many thanks from the two girls desperate for a donut!

24/07/2025: Very good coffee is drunk here with some very good snacks, although everything is very good, breakfast, lunch and snacks, the competition is very fierce here in the city of Cork in relation to cafes and snack bars. A few years ago, you didn't see a cafe, so to speak!!! Now they are everywhere. What I mean is that this cafe called Noir has to create its brand, its specialty, so that people are interested and identify with it. I hope it stays open for a long time and I wish you the best of luck in its development.

24/07/2025: The coffee here is very good, along with some very good snacks. Although everything is very good – breakfast, lunch, and snacks – the competition is very high here in Cork regarding cafes and snack bars. A few years ago, you wouldn't see a cafe like this anywhere else, so to speak! Now they're everywhere. What I mean is that this cafe, called Noir, needs to create its own brand, its own specialty, so that people become interested and identify with it. I hope it stays open for a long time and I wish it the best of luck in its future endeavors.

05/07/2026: The worst experience in a round of eighteenth World Cup EVER!! They only showed the video. They’d rather play a really loud musical quiz in the speakers Also not prepared to it, they’ve ran out of bier being a chaos to have a single bier to drink

15/06/2026: We had the pulled pork and the lamb, and both were awesome. We were there at lunch time so not a huge crowd and could just ha g out for a while and have a drink in the sun.

29/05/2026: Horrible service. lazy and grumpy waiters. The lady didint even want to bring the menu, she just said what they have by heart 😅. nice food tho.

18/04/2026: Really disappointing experience at Suttons Bar & Bistro. We were told they would provide plain pasta for the kids, but what arrived was just bland, unsalted boiled pasta with no care or effort put into it. When we asked for a sauce to go with it, they brought out chilli sauce — completely inappropriate for kids. We were also told the burger would come with cheese and sauce, but instead it was just bread with a few chicken tenders. Completely different from what was described. This was supposed to be a special dinner for my son’s 7th birthday, and it ended up being a real letdown. €95 spent on a meal that didn’t match expectations and spoiled an important evening. I wouldn’t recommend based on our experience.

26/09/2025: We loved to go to Dashi and it was our go-to takeaway in COVID times. I ordered for collection on a Thursday evening at 7pm, half of the sushi options were gone and the curry and udon noodle dishes (or at least parts thereof) were heated in a microwave, and it still took them 25 minutes to put the order together. The dishes lacked veggies and where mediocre at best, and I couldn't finish the seaweed salad. Very disappointed.

18/09/2025: Visited the place just for the first time, as I saw they have a lot of great reviews, and variety of options, but unfortunately were disappointed, as many of the ingredients weren’t just included. They show in the menu that the sushi has variety of ingredients, and a lot of interesting stuff like: asparagus, chive, chilli powder, and so, but unfortunately they just used instead of the asparagus the curcumber, and we had no chives or chilli powder, although we should have had😟 Also the trout sushi we had was half raw/and half cooked👀

01/09/2025: The bartender is a sight to behold! Effective and highly professional. We stopped by because it was on our way home and thought we'd have the "second to last" one. The atmosphere was masculine and, above all, older... But it was worth it.

08/07/2026: I’ve never seen so many staff members standing around doing absolutely nothing while customers are waiting to be served. There were multiple people actively looking around, trying to avoid making eye contact with the till just so they wouldn't have to take an order. To make matters worse, one of the tills broke down. Instead of handling it professionally, the cashier just took the person in front of me, leaving me stranded. When I finally got to pay and asked a simple, literal question, I was met with dirty looks like I was speaking a foreign language. They either genuinely don't understand basic English, or they are actively taking the piss. The staff are completely clueless, incredibly rude, and have zero work ethic. Absolutely terrible customer service.

01/07/2026: Very disappointed with the service at the Blackpool, Cork McDonald's drive-thru on 1 July at around 7:25 p.m. A lady handed me a drink that was leaking. After the lid was changed, I politely asked if the cup could also be replaced because it was covered in sticky spilled drink and I didn't want it making a mess in my car. The staff member kept repeating that "it was the lid" instead of listening to what I was actually asking. She then aggressively poured the drink into another cup, spilling it everywhere, including over the outside of the new cup, so it was still sticky and we didn't even receive a full drink. Her attitude was rude and dismissive throughout the entire interaction. A simple request was turned into an unpleasant experience because of the way we were treated.

19/05/2026: We were in Cork for just two nights and discovered this bar on our first night and we are glad we did. The owner, Barry I believe his name is has a very friendly tone and was very talkative and friendly to us. The bar has a strong following among locals all of which are very kind. Coming from the USA we felt very welcomed and the Murphys & Beamish was great as well. It’s definitely a place I can recommend.

08/02/2026: Went in there about 5.30pm on 7th February, a Saturday. I stood at the bar with my card in my hand attempting to make eye contact with one of the two men behind the bar for 15 minutes while others around and even next to me were served. I'm unsure why I was studiously ignored. In the end I left without purchasing a drink. My daughter had been collecting our bags from the car which was in Carrols Quay car park, she had suggested I have a drink and a sit down while she did this, and she couldn't quite believe it when she came in and witnessed this behaviour.

08/07/2026: Every time when you order bigger delivery from this place there's items missing from it. Coincidence?
