The best restaurants in Cork

30/05/2026: Went in to this pub for the first time to watch a match with my partner and immediately i was treated with nothing but disrespect from one of the men behind the bar, after serving me my drink he said “one and done, if ur not 23+ u cant get a second round of drinks”. Instantly i was confused and felt unwelcomed…10 minutes later he came up to us and pointed out that my partner was wearing tracksuit pants and because of that we were to leave after our drink was finished…we immediately apologised and agreed to leave after the drinks, for the next 5 minutes hes standing beside us watching us. We were sitting there silently watching the match, causing absolutely no harm at all. It had only been 5 minutes since he had last spoke to us and he says “ive given ye enough time now, pack up ur stuff and leave” we still hadnt finished our drinks and we were being rushed out the door. Ive never been treated so horribly by a complete stranger in my whole life. But look if treating young people that way helps him sleep at night then okay. If you want to be discriminated and treated poorly i highly recommend this place. Im absolutely appalled by his lack of manners and still in shock over this.

28/05/2026: The bald bartender with glasses is the rudest person ever and a terrible ambassador for this spot. Making comments towards women isn’t a great look for business, completely ruined the experience won’t be returning 👍🏻

28/06/2026: BEST SMASH BURGERS IN IRELAND TBH! Came from Kilkenny for these bad boys! Great service from the people at Tirab! May Allah give the business more barkat!

17/05/2026: 4 oz burger, tasteless frozen chips, over priced junk food. Also the chicken topped fires was frozen dry overcooked chicken. Overpriced. Glorified air fryer Aldi range comes to mind…. Do not waste your money and go else where. Waited 20 mins also

27/05/2026: Tasty food. The owners are very kind and friendly. The portion is very large. Well worth the money. Highly recommend for those craving for Chinese food in Cork. Plenty of parking space and avoid traffic in the city center. Lots of people come for pick up the take away.

13/07/2026: I'm from Brazil and when I was living in Cork, my favorite Mexican restaurant was Burritos & Blues. It was so addictive to eat there and every time i want to eat Mexican food, is impossible to forget this place. Everything was very so delicious. A very unique tasty where I couldn't find anywhere outside of Ireland that matches the same food flavor. Quesadilla was well filled up with many ingredients you can choose. Also Burritos bowl and tacos were exceptionally good too with different spiciness sauces. Overall, my favorite Mexican restaurant in the world is Burritos and Blues. And my favorite order is Quesadilla for being the biggest lunch on the menu. But, behind of all, I think the secret of this unparalleled taste is the Irish food ingredients. Especially the meat. Otherwise must be some sort of witchcraft or something else rsrs. Unfunny jokes aside, I wish they could expand their business in more locations or even going globally. The business has big potential to growth even more. One more thing is that, besides they've served with generous quantity and tasteful food, there are also offers stamp card for each meal and earn a free meal after completing a certain number of stamps on the card and a student discount. In which, many other restaurants don't have half of it. Thank you for the delicious and unforgettable Mexican food and wish you all the prosperity deserved.

04/07/2026: The service is grand and the food is brilliant, but the person clear the tables really needs to look after the tables and the floor around them. I’m a regular here, and that’s the only thing letting the place down.

30/05/2026: I got the butter chicken and chicken madras paratha tacos. The chicken madras said spicy on the menu with 3 chilies beside it. I was excited to try it. Sadly I was disappointed the food had no flavour at all, chicken madras was not spicy butter chicken was so dry. The food is clearly made for the Irish pallet. The only good thing about the meal was the paratha. I want to try the bunny chow but not sure now.

05/04/2026: I visited Stew Store to try Irish ramb soup. The taste was good but the portion was not satisfying. I wish they had given me more than that But i will probably visit this place again to try other dishes

11/07/2026: Got a smoothie here and waited quite awhile , one was started and then it just just sitting there. When mine was finally ready it was just awful not cold and was more like a milkshake way too much frozen yoghurt no taste of fruit off it i will make a better one myself won’t be back

22/06/2026: Excellent coffee shop. The coffees are delicious and the atmosphere is great, very welcoming and pleasant. The staff is friendly and the service is very good. Highly recommended.

08/07/2026: Its only ok. The food was nice but felt it was over priced. The quality was good but the flavors were not sensational. I would expect more given the price and vibe they are trying for. The service was very friendly but sadly incredibly inefficient and ineffective. It took almost over 30minutes to be served our first drinks. The food was a little more prompt however our last drinks never came at all even though we waited for them over an hour. We asked for a second bottle of water twice and it never arrived. It was a super hot day and I feel like the service should be more attentive to this particular fact. We sat outside on thr terrace on one of the lovely couches which was very comfy and wonderfully appointed. Lots of cushions and blankets for when it gets chilly. The views of the city were also lovely. Its definitely a spot for older people - over 40s, 50s etc. Not a spot for younger people, the atmosphere is a bit stale. The music was boring but I feel this is the vibe they are going for. Definitely not a fabulous place to enjoy a wine or a cocktail unless you are well into your middle age.

06/07/2026: Both the indoor Bistro and outdoor Terrace are fantastic. The servers are friendly and courteous. Inside Bistro: A little fancier, the meals were superb! We started with Irish Scallops and Triple Cooked Chips both of which were fresh and flavorful. The O'Farrells Lamb Rump was so moist and tender I think I will order that next time. The Pan Roasted Cod was light and the leeks really made it stand out. The Dover Sole Meunière was hearty and perfectly balanced by the capers. Outside at the Terrace: Fantastic view! We really enjoyed the crab toast. We thought the toast might be too much but it was mostly air and the crab was solid crustacean delight. The wings were also good but the burgers really shined. They were juicy and full sized - beef done right! The drinks: The Lavender Haze was our first place but only by the slimmest of margins. You will not be disappointed by the Secret Garden (tastes like a fruity dessert), Spicy Poloma (definitely spicy and awesome), Gold Rush (honey is there but very subtle), or New York Sour (colorful and bold).

20/05/2026: really loved this place 😍the portions are huge and the food was sooo good, everything tasted amazing!!!!! also the staff was incredibly nice and genuinely cared about helping us choose the food, and the girl working there was such a smiley sweetheart

04/07/2026: You expect something for €4 a coffee, but this really wasn’t worth it. I asked for a short Americano which is usually a double shot and a small bit of water and I got a full mug of coffee. I refused to take it. Next try to sit down and the chairs were dirty I had to ask one of them to wipe the chairs. I get it, it’s not the server’s fault, but it’s definitely the fault of Starbucks who aren’t maintaining the standard you’d expect for the cost.

07/06/2026: I was passing through. I happened to visit a lot of coffee shops in Cork, Coffe, and Dublin. I was surprised by your coffee... We relaxed...

01/05/2026: They will take joining fee then you have to stay for 3 months if you want to try the gym. Then they will lie about cancellation fee when asked to cancel the membership (possibly due to lack of their own policy knowledge). Took them 2 months to fix the leg extension machine. Staff is friendly but misguiding. The gym itself is mediocre.

07/04/2026: Well equipped gym with sauna, very clean facilities. Great variety of classes all included in your membership. Staff and the atmosphere is amazing. PT, workout plan whenever you need it 💪 Guys you are doing an amazing job ❤️ Thank you 😊
