The Quays Bar Tapas & Grill

27/12/2025: My daughter & I visited the Quays bar today & had food that was reasonably good. Unfortunately the place was absolutely filthy, our shoes were sticking to the floor. Toilets were disgusting & absolutely filthy with no toilet roll & when we asked we were told there was none. I dread to think what the kitchen was like.

15/10/2025: Do not go here for breakfast. Can't vouch for the evenings here or the pints. The breakfast was shocking, unfortunately one of the few places open on Sunday morning. Do yourself a favour & go Tara's instead. Everything was under or over cooked, asked for some tomatoes instead of mushrooms. They brought me a cold sliced bit of tomato. Service poor, didn't clear our table. Pumping the diddly at 10:30am, come on. The worst cup of tea I've ever been served in Ireland
13/10/2025: Staff were excellent. Bacon and cabbage was top notch. Never waiting for a pint. Beamish was exceptional. Bravo

10/12/2025: Starbucks is Starbucks, but the staff here are so lovely, really genuine and friendly, that it would actively incline me towards going there. It’s rare to get service as good as you get here.

21/11/2025: I really enjoy coming here for coffee and toast, it’s one of my favorite spots. Recently, though, I’ve noticed things seem a bit busier than usual. There’s often just one barista serving with a queue forming, and a few tables waiting to be cleaned, which made me leave the last two times I tried to stop by.
It’s still a great place with great coffee; just wanted to share in case the team might be a bit short-staffed lately.
17/11/2025: The drinks and food are really good, but from what I’ve seen, the cafe is chronically understaffed. I often see trainee baristas left on their own to deal with long queues of customers. There are lots of opportunities here to improve service. There should be a minimum of two baristas at the counter.

27/07/2025: Basic fare , mostly seafood menu, average pricing, friendly staff and bookings probably needed at peak as the restaurant not too big.
People with reduced mobility won't have any problems.

Side note no menus at drive thru very inconvienent

27/06/2025: I'm a regular here and have always been a fan of their doner. Got the doner last week and it was a greasy mess. Thought it was a one time thing. Had doner again last night and its just awful. doesnt even taste like meat anymore. Don't know what happened here lads.

19/11/2025: Super bar. Came down from Belfast and a friend recommended this place - did not disappoint. Pints were great, staff were sound and I could have stayed for hours more for the music alone! Will absolutely be back again.

01/09/2025: The bartender is a sight to behold! Effective and highly professional.
We stopped by because it was on our way home and thought we'd have the "second to last" one.
The atmosphere was masculine and, above all, older... But it was worth it.

The Sandwich Stall

15/09/2025: After leaving west cork early this morning and in need of a light snack 😋 I had a spiced beef sandwich on gloriously fresh bread. The native Barry's Tea to accompany my sandwich. Lovely little seats at the stall so ate and watched the world go by. Absolutely delicious food and a huge selection on display. I highly recommend. It's located within the historic English market which was rather busy so it was good to see that too.
28/08/2025: Lovely open air deli sandwich stall, seating included on the end comfortable cozy bar stools and foot rest. Wonderful staff caring attentive to orders and all ways ask how you’re doing. Would definitely come back again and again. Best sandwich’s in town 🥪🫶🏼

01/01/2026: Great place to stay with clean and spacious rooms, lots of parking with EV charging and nice restaurant. Staff were nice.
01/01/2026: This is my 3rd time to stay in this hotel. Myslef and my family just love it. The rooms are lovely and comfortable. The staff are just the most loveliest and friendliest staff you could ask for. Anything you need or want they will gladly help you. We can't wait to back again soon xxx
