29/08/2025: There isn't many traditional chip shops left in Cork but barties ,is one of the very few left around, for both local and visitors alike is well worth a visit, I highly recommend the quarter burger, one of the best you ever eat, and really friendly staff

25/08/2025: The official language in Georgia is Georgian, but here they don't/can't speak Georgian at all. This is not only unprofessional, but also a huge disrespect for Georgia and Georgians. Why should I, a Georgian, learn foreign languages ​​just to order coffee in my own country?🤡 The staff is also tactless and rude. Your existence in the Georgian market is simply a shame.

06/09/2025: Me and one of my friends called down last night and tried to go through Arthur maynes entrance. It didn't look like there was security on the door and it was still 30 mins until the specified closing time so i went to walk in, I got one foot in the door and this blonde female security guard came up behind me, grabbed me by the arm and dug her nails into my skin leaving a lasting mark and a bruise (pic attached below). Where I understand not wanting to let people in near to closing time, there is absolutely no need to be using acrylic nail extensions as a weapon especially because I wasn't overly intoxicated, I was not being aggressive or difficult in any way. If she wanted to verbally tell us we couldn't come in, she should have been at the door, not preoccupied and out of sight. It really upset me and it's absolutely unacceptable for security to behave in this way. Read less ^ Date visited Sept 2025

24/08/2025: The best venue in cork, cool vibe, plenty of live music, latino nights, cabaret the works. Great crowd, never any trouble or issues. Bar crew are the best. Food is sensational. The only place in cork i frequent every week.

25/04/2025: We loved eating at Soba for the second time, it’s a great place. The food is really tasty, but the service is the best! The waitress was very kind and careful. We are very happy to have this place close to home. Thank you!

06/08/2025: Always incredible pizza and service. Lovely staff and cosy atmosphere. The vegan cheese is delicious too! Potatoes are ok but I’d love if they added chips to the menu. The pizza is so delicious we don’t mind though .

14/08/2025: Awful. They put in the self ordering, but it does not give you a printout of your order number. So good luck with that. The order was then up as served, but without the drink. There was a guy pulling drinks, when I asked him for the drink to match my order, he tells me he doesn't know what drink I ordered. So I grabbed one from the lined up selection. Just to make my experience more miserable, I put sugar in my chips. D'oh!

23/04/2025: Brilliant stop there by accident and drink a coca-cola but the pub was a good few people inside like local people but they joke with me all ready because I was ask for coca - cola I was driving, I would like to stay there for a few pints I could see I will enjoy a lot I know the cork people it’s great laugh good craic but I will pass there someday for sure.

18/06/2025: In this video, the Eason stationery store appears, which is very large and has everything and more. The population of Cork all know this stationery store. The quality is very good and very serious. The workers are all very helpful. This stationery store changed location not long ago because it was located across the road near the SAVOY construction site. It probably moved for reasons only the management knows, but it is much better. They made a good choice: books, notebooks, pencils, everything for children and adults for school and other things like diaries. Very good indeed. 100% guarantee.

17/03/2025: Ordered a delivery tonight online paid in app and told a 50 min wait on confirmation took an hour and 55 mins. Food dropped on doorstep and delivery guy in his car 10 seconds after knocking on the door. Food was luke warm at best and chips cold , wanton & spring rolls crushed and broken . Won't be goung back anytime soon.

28/07/2025: Came to Cork to watch Michael McIntyre @ The Marquee. There was a food hall called The Black Market near the venue so we went there. We needed either vegetarian or a halal food. There was a smash burger place which we really wanted to try but there were no burgers left, the burger stall directed us to Dips. We were not disappointed. We ordered a Korean chicken dish, 2 x Malaysian chicken noodles and a beef curry. The food was fantastic. Good portion sizes and was very tasty. The service was fantastic. Good variety of dishes to choose from. A touch expensive but feel Cork is an expensive place. Highly recommend.

15/07/2025: The Massaman curry was very good and I did expect that considering the crew are from Malaysia. Other items are good as well and the seafood seemed fresh. One thing I did not like is the serving bowls, it is quite hard to eat from it. Hope they can change it to something tried and tested. Overall would recommend for east Asian food in the black market.

25/08/2025: Just wanted to quickly take some time to thank the Imperial Hotel and its staff for an absolutely fantastic, relaxing and enjoyable stay. As a solo traveller, the room was quite spacious and very clean and tidy compared to rooms in other hotels I’ve stayed in and felt super safe the entire stay (I’ve also slept the best at this hotel, the bed and pillows were divine!). The hotel was in the best possible location in the city - close to the train and bus stations and right around the corner from the main streets. Nearly everything was within walking distance which took away the stress of trying to navigate public transport in a foreign city, especially as a solo traveller. Throughout the stay, staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and were always happy to have a chat and share their recommendations. I would 110% recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cork and would happily return for another stay in future.

22/08/2025: Stayed in room 123, the room smelled absolutely disgusting! Damp musty stale smell in the room, wallpaper peeling in the corner and black spots and marks on the duvet, We were told we could not access the room until 3pm due to cleaning so obviously the cleaners left this room in this state before we were allowed access to it also the concierge dropped our bags up to this room before we returned to access it which means at least two separate sets of members of staff were in this room and deemed it acceptable for paying guests. The one window opens about half an inch all the way around which didn’t allow any air into the room, The one radiator didn’t work we were unable to help the issue of dampness in the room, We paid 256euro for the room for one night,The concierge met us at the door to take our bags and we were offered champagne on arrival which was a lovely first impression, the staff were very helpful the two girls at the reception desk were very friendly and directed us to where we wanted to go in the city, the concierge staff moved our luggage for us and directed us on how to access the carpark but the room was genuinely a huge disappointment we didn’t want to stay in it any longer than necessary, there was no visible mould but it literally stank. On the booking.com website it stated private parking but after booking we discovered that unfortunately we had to park our car in a multi story carpark in a sectioned off area for hotel visitors which was also accessible to anyone and everyone in Ireland with no monitoring other than a chap called “Tom” who you had to call if there was an issue, this parking was also not included in the price and had to be paid for at check in, (15 euro) this carpark isn’t really nearby either it’s about a 7/8 minute walk at a decent pace (no problem for us as the weather was nice but typical Irish weather would mean you would be soaked going to pick up your car) We looked at the booking.com page for the hotel after and indeed this is stated but only after you click into the Parking tab (so I will have to check for this in future as I always would look for the hotels with parking included but I never realised they could say it was included but then charge separately for it) the lobby and downstairs of the hotel looks beautiful and again the staff are super welcoming but once you did any deeper the cracks will begin to show, I informed the reception staff of our experience when we were checking out but I’ve yet to hear any response from them, Maybe we were very unlucky with the room the hotel offered us but our impression here wasn’t a good one.

03/09/2025: Spacious rooms, clean and tidy. Friendly and helpful staff. Approximately 15 minutes drive into Cork centre.

29/07/2025: A bit of the beaten track, but a great bus service just minutes from the hotel. We stayed for three nights end of June into July, nothing too much trouble for the very friendly, helpful staff. Hotel itself was clean and well presented. A little dark in places, especially the bedroom corridors, which could do with brightening up, some areas were a little tired looking. Our bedroom was comfortable and had all we needed. Overall a nice hotel.

13/08/2025: I love mac and cheese, but the one from Domino’s Blackpool is honestly horrific. Not something you’d expect from Domino’s, as their food is usually always lovely. The taste and texture were really disappointing definitely not something I’d order again.

19/07/2025: Weird situation here. I just wanted to order a pizza inside the restaurant. they began asking me for personal data such as a full name and phone number. When I refused, they refused to take an order. Is it even legal? The food is great anyway. Update after Domino’s pizza response to this review: They wouldn’t sell me a pizza if I didn’t provide my last name. Please respect customers privacy and write the truth, thank you🙂

15/04/2025: It was nice to sit in the English Market with that authentic atmosphere and have nice cup of tea. Caramel cheesecake was our favourite.

09/07/2025: Started off great, our food was really good, our waitress was great to start with but must have been busy or distracted. We asked for wine and had to remind her, same for coffees at the end. A minor complaint, the ambience and pleasantness of the place and staff was excellent.

19/04/2025: Great food and top service! One of the best spots in Cork. Always very welcoming and nice setting too. I do think the menu could be expanded though, could add burger or pasta maybe.
