16/12/2025: Very disappointing outcome to this place. I had high hopes given the name & reviews..... But what it appears is that the place has been taken over, kept the name but taken all the smoked food off the menu. Rather than sample what is on the menu (what appears to be a basic attempt at smoked/ pit food..... Without the smoked/ pit food) I took my business elsewhere to avoid further disappointment.

28/09/2025: The Imperial Hotel is a classic Irish hotel with plenty of charm. My room was comfortable and fairly spacious, and I especially liked the bathroom interiors; they had a nice touch of elegance (wish I’d remembered to get a video of them!). 🛁 That said, my room was located in the basement, with a view directly into other rooms, which wasn’t the most inviting. At €220 per night (without breakfast), the value felt a little off for what was offered. The big plus here is the central location, it’s right in the heart of Cork, making it really easy to explore the city. Overall, a decent stay if location is your top priority, though there are a few trade-offs. Ratings: 🛏️ Room Comfort & Design: 3.5/5 🛎 Service & Ambience: 4/5 💸 Money’s Worth: 3/5

17/04/2026: Great pub. Got free pizza one day and pool table kept in decent nick. Always a good vibe 👍

20/03/2026: came here for the "Johnny Depp Table Quiz" winner gets a free bar tab! did not disappoint! myself and my team "The Deppsters" placed third overall. Which got us two free rounds and a lego Jack Sparrow action figure! Absolutely unreal!

08/09/2025: Really nice cafe and great deal for açai lovers. An açai bowl (that you get to pick the contents of) and ANY coffee for €12. The açai is nice but not a strong flavour so that may be a deterrent for some. Coffee is good enough and they are generous with syrup. The toastie is one of the cheapest in cork (€5.50-€6.50) and it is nice quality. The cafe is dog friendly which is great especially if you’re walking at the lough. Would recommend!

18/05/2026: Food was incredible, drinks were cold and delicious and the single guitar player that was playing the night we were there mad with absolutely incredible. 10/10 would recommend to friends to try it out!

It delivers on both flavor and portion size, making regular orders feel consistently satisfying The Cottage consistently offers a wide, appealing menu—encompassing kebabs, burgers, garlic bread, and more—at great value. The ordering process is smooth, whether online or in person, and their staff are friendly and efficient What stands out: • Fantastic, reliably tasty pizza and a varied menu • Excellent service—fast, friendly, and professional • Great value, with meal deals and deals like “2 × 12″ pizzas + sides” I highly recommend The Cottage for anyone craving a delicious, no-fuss pizza takeaway in Little Island. 10/01/2026: Hadn't visited the cottage for a while but our last two visits have been great. Last time we were there we got the spice bag and a pizza. The chicken in the spice bag was lovely not hard crispy dried up chicken like most spice bags ive had! Was happy we asked for the sauce on the side as it could have taken from the spice bag itself! The pizzas are really good too! Not greasy or soggy like some pizzas you'd get in typical pizza joints. Would recommend!

10/08/2025: Didn't have food so can't say anything but the rob roy is definitely up there as one of the pubs in cork for all ages, music and atmosphere is top notch

07/12/2025: Superb. Ambience, festive decor. Amazing team. Warmest welcomes with smiles. Beautiful setting. Incredible menu, food choice & cocktails. Family birthday celebration for my husband with his sisters down from Dublin. Busy spot always. Booking advised. All round venue for scones & Tea, breakfast, luncheon and evening meals. Classy venue.

23/11/2025: Saying it's the worst coffee of my life is a compliment because I call it coffee.

16/11/2025: I really like the coffee and the pastries. I am in love with the lemon pie and the pistachio cone. The staff is always cheerful and polite, which makes the experience even better. The only thing I would point out is to be a bit more careful with special requests. More than once I asked for a cappuccino with oat milk and received regular milk instead. Even so, I always come back because mistakes happen and I genuinely like not only the coffee but also the people. 😊

06/01/2026: This is a lively pub, especially if you’re into live music—it’s definitely worth checking out. On weekends, it gets busy and energetic, with a great buzz. If you prefer a calmer, more relaxed evening, weekdays are the way to go. The place itself is huge, with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, so there’s usually space no matter when you visit.
