07/12/2025: Superb. Ambience, festive decor. Amazing team. Warmest welcomes with smiles. Beautiful setting. Incredible menu, food choice & cocktails. Family birthday celebration for my husband with his sisters down from Dublin. Busy spot always. Booking advised. All round venue for scones & Tea, breakfast, luncheon and evening meals. Classy venue.

06/01/2026: This is a lively pub, especially if you’re into live music—it’s definitely worth checking out. On weekends, it gets busy and energetic, with a great buzz. If you prefer a calmer, more relaxed evening, weekdays are the way to go. The place itself is huge, with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, so there’s usually space no matter when you visit.

12/10/2025: My favorite takeaway sushi spot, a must stop every time we visit Cork, right in the heart of the English Market. So many choices of sushi to choose. I also really loved their poke bowl. Very affordable. Highly recommended.

11/10/2025: Best sushi ever tasted, tuna roll was out of this world. Great selection, even had vegan rolls also.

23/12/2025: I ordered a brownie and an americano. The brownie tasted like it was only half cooked. The coffee was just plain bad.

22/12/2025: Disappointed with our visit this morning. Barrista had zero Christmas cheer and it kind of set the tone. Got our order wrong too which didn't make things better for either of us (was corrected). Given how busy it is in town this morning, I would not be surprised if she had been left single-handed which contributed to the tone. The coffee was great though (I pop in regularly enough) so hopefully it was just the grey dreary weather getting to her. 😢

Also wondering what do you do with the leftovers as I hate food being wasted. Thank you for the hospitality. Nice staff but plz do review your portion size because nothing can help me with hunger.Giving you 5 stars because of my first post dinner after a breakup. Xxx

05/12/2025: This place is open late and offers both DJ sets and live music. It also has some heated outdoor seating. It's a great place to meet cool people.

28/07/2025: Came to Cork to watch Michael McIntyre @ The Marquee. There was a food hall called The Black Market near the venue so we went there. We needed either vegetarian or a halal food. There was a smash burger place which we really wanted to try but there were no burgers left, the burger stall directed us to Dips. We were not disappointed. We ordered a Korean chicken dish, 2 x Malaysian chicken noodles and a beef curry. The food was fantastic. Good portion sizes and was very tasty. The service was fantastic. Good variety of dishes to choose from. A touch expensive but feel Cork is an expensive place. Highly recommend.

15/07/2025: The Massaman curry was very good and I did expect that considering the crew are from Malaysia. Other items are good as well and the seafood seemed fresh. One thing I did not like is the serving bowls, it is quite hard to eat from it. Hope they can change it to something tried and tested. Overall would recommend for east Asian food in the black market.

28/11/2025: I got a burger and chips here. The food was pleasant and the staff very friendly. The Black Market was freezing cold but that is not the fault of the vendor.

30/11/2025: Disgrace waited 2 hours 45 mins for cold food never again what a joke ye shouldn’t open doors or get better staff and not first time bye bye camille never again going even though was one of our favourite

28/11/2025: Ordered online. No update provided throughout other than the order being accepted. After 1 hour I tried to call the restaurant. Tried to ring 3 times each time placed on hold for 5 minutes, never got to speak to a person. My partner drove to the restaurant (10 minutes) to be advised that it was out for delivery but unsure where. Food eventually arrived and was lukewarm. We usually enjoy Camile but based on this service, we won't be ordering again

12/09/2025: I don’t just want The Cottage… I ache for it. The mere thought of their food sends shivers down my spine. The way the curry clings to the rice, silky and luscious, feels almost indecent. The naan — soft, warm, perfectly charred — is a scandal I can’t resist sinking my teeth into. Every order is an intoxicating rendezvous. I open the bag and the steam rises like a lover’s sigh, teasing me, taunting me, promising satisfaction. One bite in, and I’m undone. The Cottage doesn’t just feed me; it possesses me. This isn’t takeaway — it’s temptation incarnate. I’d give it a thousand stars if I could, because five isn’t nearly enough to capture the delicious torment of craving The Cottage.” Everytime I step through those doors and smell the aroma of the curry cooking in the back I just KNOW that mr shaikh and his son Nauman are cooking up a storm!

18/12/2025: Ordered food to eat in then looked around for somewhere to sit, Fabric seat cushions are dirty with black sugar stains on, Hard stools at window area also dirty and tables uncleared with food on floor, I don't think this dining area has seen soap wash for 5+ years. We took our food to car to eat for hygiene reasons.
