The best restaurants in Cork

15/10/2025: Called here during the week and got a 5 Tenders meal with Gravy and a Kids Popcorn Chicken meal. It's fair to say they do good chicken and gravy here. Portion size was also very good, For me Hillbillies is the best chicken in Cork but this is up their, well worth a try if you like Fried Chicken and Gravy 👍

01/01/2026: Very bad customer service never respect customer. The food we asked not spicy they made very spicy and not cooked. Never again

17/11/2025: Got a doner meat chips and a long black hair on top. I rang them and the man on the phone was very rude and was insisting it was my own hair to which I said I don’t have black hair. He sent out another doner meat chips and then rang me after I received it and said they will never deliver to my house again due to the complaint. Terrible attitude on staff and terrible food.

22/12/2025: What was not to love! Great choice of lunch items, hot and cold. Great personable staff. Comfortable and laidback vibe. Parking outside the door. Might move to 5 ⭐ on my next visit when I've had the chance to sample more than a tasty, toasted sandwich and checked out the toilet facilities. Dec '25 back again. Enjoyed a seasonal ciabatta. Lovely staff again. Toilet facilities ok, not great in terms of cleanliness but it may have been just before a mid service clean to give them the benefit of the doubt.

17/12/2025: One great place badly needed in the area. The staff are extremely helpful and pleasant.. they do delicious sandwiches and homemade cakes. They sell their coffee by the bags. It’s got a nice atmosphere and they do great coffees .

17/09/2025: Called in at 7.30am for a coffee. The staff are so friendly even though it was so early.. the coffee was great 👍

21/07/2025: Nice Starbucks, but there is a smell of stale milk when you come in. Staff can be a little distracted and not notice you’re there and a bit slow. The toilets could do with a clean also.

29/12/2025: Chips are probably the BEST I've ever had.. the amount you get for €5 is value for money. Highly recommended

16/08/2025: 20 plus years ago I remember this place being thee place to get a takeaway. A few weeks ago I decided to try it out again . I parked outside Richies van first and then decided to go to Looneys where I had many a fine meal in my 20s (25 plus years ago ) . I have to honestly say it was the worst takeaway I have ever had in my 50 years on this earth . Rotten greasy wet battered fish . Burnt chips with bits of raw batter attached . Absolutely disgusting. And trust me I'm not picky when it comes to takeaway food . I will never darken the door of this place again as long as I live .

14/09/2025: Not a very busy pub, the food was mediocre and bland, service alright and general atmosphere friendly. The Irish Open Golf was being played and busy with golf enthusiasts.

22/06/2025: Very nice pub. Nice food and excellent friendly staff. The manager went out of his way to get a game we wanted to see on TV. Thank you longboats. PS they serve super quality beer.

13/10/2025: You have to go looking for this smashing lounge bar. Well kept bar, lovely clientele reasonable priced beer and a smashing pint of Beamish

08/06/2025: The most slow service bar I have ever experienced.In my life.Across continents.They clearly serve locals first,even locals acknowledged it.And it was not even busy.Dont waste your time going here.I only went as at a party.The service is REALLY slow.

14/09/2025: Such a lovely atmosphere. Wine was fantastic. Lovely vibe with the candles and music. Absolutely no complaints.

13/11/2025: Cute little place with good coffee and good food. Service is fast and efficient. I love their overnight oats dish.

22/10/2025: Wonderful scone with a very tasty (probably homemade) jam + fresh orange juice!

21/01/2026: From the outside it looks like a small pub, but when you enter inside you will conclude that you are in a very large pub with several bars, the staff is tidy and at the service of the guests, the food is freshly prepared and good, the toilets are clean and tidy...recommended.

10/01/2026: This is one of the largest and the oldest bars in Cork. The price is great and the food portions are generous. Not sure if it’s a placebo, but the Guinness here tastes quite weak or almost watery compared to other bars.

23/10/2025: No hate but why did our 4 in 1 look like this. Chicken was bad too I almost choked it was like play dough

28/10/2025: Lovely place, very quiet and perfect for a coffee break. The only thing to improve would be the hot chocolate, a little lukewarm for my taste — it would be even better piping hot!

23/10/2025: I ordered the Falafel Wrap- the salad and the vegetables were stale and when I informed the staff they couldn’t care less. Would never recommend. 0/10

21/11/2025: Any time we come in here lately for lunch or breakfast, I get mine relatively fast but my partner has been waiting 20minutes after I get mine. So I’m all done before hers comes out. What’s the point in having lunch together if it ends up we don’t have our lunch together, the place isn’t even that busy and other people that come in after us have gotten served before hers comes. If it was the odd time you would get over it but has become a regular occurrence so it’s disgrace really and we decided we won’t be coming here again.

27/12/2025: I had a meal for 2 at this Indian restaurant. The restaurant was Baltic absolutely freezing. The cutlery is child size not Sutible for adults. The food was okay at best but no way near being of a high standard for Indian cuisine. Food lacked flavour. I was going to comment on how cold the restaurant is but the girl taking payment was rude so I couldn't be bothered. Overall a disappointing experience I won't be back
