08/11/2025: Really nice place with lots going on. A few different settings so enough going on for everyone. Mixed age group as well which is great

28/07/2025: Came to Cork to watch Michael McIntyre @ The Marquee. There was a food hall called The Black Market near the venue so we went there. We needed either vegetarian or a halal food. There was a smash burger place which we really wanted to try but there were no burgers left, the burger stall directed us to Dips. We were not disappointed. We ordered a Korean chicken dish, 2 x Malaysian chicken noodles and a beef curry. The food was fantastic. Good portion sizes and was very tasty. The service was fantastic. Good variety of dishes to choose from. A touch expensive but feel Cork is an expensive place. Highly recommend.

15/07/2025: The Massaman curry was very good and I did expect that considering the crew are from Malaysia. Other items are good as well and the seafood seemed fresh. One thing I did not like is the serving bowls, it is quite hard to eat from it. Hope they can change it to something tried and tested. Overall would recommend for east Asian food in the black market.

28/11/2025: Overall nice tasting food and made well and fresh. I recommend the garlic pizza bread. The service was fast but in in most recent visit me plus a number of other customers were left waiting for over 10 mins or more due to the new naming logic in their system which chaged to first name rather than surname. Staff could not figure out what order was for who. The app that 4 star offer was ok to use but the new app is terrible and extremely glitchy. The prices have gone up and some items are far to overpriced but they have some good value meal deals so pricing is very mixed. The chips and wedges can be hit and miss here and on numerous occasions they have given us the wrong orders or have failed to give everything you pay for in both situations at the store and delivery.

14/09/2025: Stopped by for dessert and coffee, great cheesecake and atmosphere. Steaks looked great but will have to try next time👍😋

29/06/2025: We just called in for a quick drink. It is quite large and spacious, no problem getting a seat. We didn't have food so I can't comment on that. Really nice place.

07/10/2025: Never went in just past close buy outside but I did not like the look of it men drinking and smoking outside at the door at the side of the building.

09/07/2025: Started off great, our food was really good, our waitress was great to start with but must have been busy or distracted. We asked for wine and had to remind her, same for coffees at the end. A minor complaint, the ambience and pleasantness of the place and staff was excellent.

02/11/2025: Edited as it's my second day in a row getting this. The food is absolutely top notch and some of the most reasonably priced food around with amazing taste! They even do a vegan beef burger which is so so nice and the curry and satay dishes I've had are also 10/10! Staff are friendly too so 10/10 to the staff as well!

23/10/2025: Rude reception. Got burger and chips with no sachet sauce. I had in a takeaway but was waiting for someone to pick me up when I decided to check my bag and have a few chips. But she yelled ‘u can’t eat here!’ I didn’t order for dine in. All I wanted was to sit for few minutes while waiting for my pickup. Why should a food service be unwelcoming? I didn’t have appetite to eat my food after such rudeness.

14/09/2025: Not a very busy pub, the food was mediocre and bland, service alright and general atmosphere friendly. The Irish Open Golf was being played and busy with golf enthusiasts.

22/06/2025: Very nice pub. Nice food and excellent friendly staff. The manager went out of his way to get a game we wanted to see on TV. Thank you longboats. PS they serve super quality beer.

28/08/2025: Beautiful ambiance, friendly service, and delicious food. The Nutella pancakes were delicious.

15/09/2025: After leaving west cork early this morning and in need of a light snack 😋 I had a spiced beef sandwich on gloriously fresh bread. The native Barry's Tea to accompany my sandwich. Lovely little seats at the stall so ate and watched the world go by. Absolutely delicious food and a huge selection on display. I highly recommend. It's located within the historic English market which was rather busy so it was good to see that too.

28/08/2025: Lovely open air deli sandwich stall, seating included on the end comfortable cozy bar stools and foot rest. Wonderful staff caring attentive to orders and all ways ask how you’re doing. Would definitely come back again and again. Best sandwich’s in town 🥪🫶🏼

17/09/2025: Called in at 7.30am for a coffee. The staff are so friendly even though it was so early.. the coffee was great 👍

21/07/2025: Nice Starbucks, but there is a smell of stale milk when you come in. Staff can be a little distracted and not notice you’re there and a bit slow. The toilets could do with a clean also.

06/10/2025: The decor is lovely here, vintage style. I had the breast in a bun meal which was delicious! Reasonable prices and great food.

11/10/2025: there is one guy that works there and holds the whole place up. He's been there for a long time now and I've seen him be the only consistent face there in the last three years. he is absolutely lovely and can't do enough for you , that's only reason you get a second star. for him alone. unfortunately , He wasn't there today when I went instead two employees with their back turned to me completely ignoring me when I asked for something for my order it was a no no sorry we don't have it and no didn't bother to look just NO! I love my other Starbucks this one is trash. the rude guy there today ... just NO

05/10/2025: A very good pub and very well known here in Cork. The day is great, starting in the morning serving coffee, breakfasts, and brunches, serving food practically every day. It's a huge pub with many seats and high quality, with a large terrace which is where I usually go when it's sunny. The service and staff are all very nice during the day, but as night falls, Frisky Whiskey transforms into a nighttime spot with live music, sometimes DJs, like on Saturday nights, and the place is packed again. The atmosphere is very good, with a middle-aged crowd enjoying themselves and relaxing. I highly recommend it; you're very welcome here, everything is very good.
