The best restaurants in Cork

26/09/2025: We loved to go to Dashi and it was our go-to takeaway in COVID times. I ordered for collection on a Thursday evening at 7pm, half of the sushi options were gone and the curry and udon noodle dishes (or at least parts thereof) were heated in a microwave, and it still took them 25 minutes to put the order together. The dishes lacked veggies and where mediocre at best, and I couldn't finish the seaweed salad. Very disappointed.

18/09/2025: Visited the place just for the first time, as I saw they have a lot of great reviews, and variety of options, but unfortunately were disappointed, as many of the ingredients weren’t just included. They show in the menu that the sushi has variety of ingredients, and a lot of interesting stuff like: asparagus, chive, chilli powder, and so, but unfortunately they just used instead of the asparagus the curcumber, and we had no chives or chilli powder, although we should have had😟 Also the trout sushi we had was half raw/and half cooked👀

28/02/2026: It may be a settings issue with the machine, but the takeaway order I placed last night for an extra hot chai latte and an Americano resulted in drinks that were so lukewarm and tepid that it was possible to stir the "hot" chocolate with my finger. As I had been asked twice if "extra hot" was what I ordered, I didn't see any point in complaining to the staff as they were trying to make what was ordered.

23/02/2026: The food here is lovely especially the baked goods like the carrot cake and protein balls, but the wraps and and sandwiches are not very filling. This place is lovely to come to for a coffee, chat and something small. I go here every morning for my cup of coffee for a fiver and I am always greeted with a smiling face and the coffee is always good!

07/12/2025: Superb. Ambience, festive decor. Amazing team. Warmest welcomes with smiles. Beautiful setting. Incredible menu, food choice & cocktails. Family birthday celebration for my husband with his sisters down from Dublin. Busy spot always. Booking advised. All round venue for scones & Tea, breakfast, luncheon and evening meals. Classy venue.

07/11/2025: Table quiz on Wednesday. Super fun.

30/11/2025: I had heard good things but I was really disappointed. Friends had the chicken and I had the beef birra. Food wasn’t hot. Everything lacked flavour, the tacos were neither soft nor hard.

29/10/2025: Second time here and it's just such a fun place to go! My friend's absolute go-to for when she has visitors and I completely get why! In the summer they open the front window and you get a nice breeze. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great.

19/12/2025: Nice pub with great and friendly service. Perfect spot to escape from the hustle and bustle of the shopping center.

11/11/2025: Unbelievable food, the burgers were amazing and v creative. And a full feed on their own The loaded fries are also excellent but would feed 3 people in one portion Only negative is walked in to order and waited 45 mins for the food. Was orders coming in over phone, deliveroo etc and all prioritised ahead of walk ins (or that's what it felt like anyway!!) Worth it, just order in advance

28/11/2025: I got a burger and chips here. The food was pleasant and the staff very friendly. The Black Market was freezing cold but that is not the fault of the vendor.

28/07/2025: Came to Cork to watch Michael McIntyre @ The Marquee. There was a food hall called The Black Market near the venue so we went there. We needed either vegetarian or a halal food. There was a smash burger place which we really wanted to try but there were no burgers left, the burger stall directed us to Dips. We were not disappointed. We ordered a Korean chicken dish, 2 x Malaysian chicken noodles and a beef curry. The food was fantastic. Good portion sizes and was very tasty. The service was fantastic. Good variety of dishes to choose from. A touch expensive but feel Cork is an expensive place. Highly recommend.

15/07/2025: The Massaman curry was very good and I did expect that considering the crew are from Malaysia. Other items are good as well and the seafood seemed fresh. One thing I did not like is the serving bowls, it is quite hard to eat from it. Hope they can change it to something tried and tested. Overall would recommend for east Asian food in the black market.

18/11/2025: Had to stop in to see "the mural" and fish. There's a cool area out back. On that particular night... Not our crowd. So we left after one drink.

06/12/2025: The service today 06/12 was dreadful , the two bar staff on had zero observational skill or job coordination - they repeatedly messed up orders , wine was being served in half pint glasses and one person was left waiting over 20mins for a single pint because the bar man had literally forgotten he existed despite taking his order - for a city pub you would expect to have servers who are competent - the most frustrating thing is the fact it wasn’t even that busy and during the day …. I wouldn’t be in a hurry to return , many other pubs close by with great service , a duo of Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder would have worked better behind the bar today

04/09/2025: The food at Domino’s Cork was spot on, fresh, tasty, and exactly what you’d expect. The only downside was the service, which was slower than expected. Still, once the order arrived, the quality made up for the wait.

13/08/2025: I love mac and cheese, but the one from Domino’s Blackpool is honestly horrific. Not something you’d expect from Domino’s, as their food is usually always lovely. The taste and texture were really disappointing definitely not something I’d order again.

16/11/2025: Consistently excellent food and service. There is a separate vegan/vegetarian menu with a range of good options.
