10/10/2025: The pizza was not horrible. It's more of a pub with food. Then a place to go for dinner. Not many food options, but the prices were great, staff was really nice. I would go back again for a pint.

18/09/2025: The man who runs the speed quiz on Thursday nights has the ability to smell around corners. Gazelle instinctively run at the sight of him. In addition to running quizzes, he delivers babies in the back of Taxi cabs, finds homes for wayward iguanas, and discovered the color violet. Overall, five stars

31/10/2025: Brilliant Italian cooking,I Had the breakfast yummy and good Italian coffee. Our waitress was brilliant, she had traveled to Capetown and Durban, where I am from ,a coastal town north of Durban past Umhlanhga rocks, called Umdloti. Good vibe in whole shop. Worth a visit. I be back. 💯

21/10/2025: I enjoyed a light French-style lunch. The recommended wine paired well with the food. The staff were friendly and explained everything clearly.

22/11/2025: The facilities are fine, but the customer service let the experience down. I arrived in person and bought tickets for my friends arriving shortly after. When one person didn’t arrive, I requested a refund for the unused ticket right away, but the manager refused and insisted on unwanted arcade credit. This policy may be fair for online bookings, but it feels unreasonable in person. Returning money given in error should be basic human decency.

30/11/2025: Had a lovely impromptu dinner date here. Food was delicious and well priced. Small internal seating area and though tables are close together, we felt it was still private enough. Service brilliant and staff very friendly.

29/11/2025: We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The service was outstanding from the moment we arrived. We originally booked a table for four, but since we ended up being five, the staff went out of their way to arrange a larger table for us without any trouble. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the team was incredibly attentive and friendly. We truly appreciated their flexibility and kindness. Highly recommended!

27/11/2025: I am really disappointed with our most recent visit. This used to be one of our favourite places to catch up, but the experience this time was poor from start to finish. Even though we had a reservation and arrived early, we still waited about past our booking time to be seated. Partway through our meal we were asked to move our table backwards so a band could set up behind us, even though they did not start playing until right before we left. The music in the restaurant was already very loud, and the setup happening directly behind us made it extremely difficult to have a normal conversation. Service was slow all evening. There were long delays between dishes, and it was difficult to get anyone’s attention even to order drinks. My mixed meat fajitas cost 24 euro and were disappointing. The chicken portion was very disappointing size wise, and the steak was undercooked. I was not asked how I wanted it cooked, and the staff seemed far too busy to address it. What made this even more frustrating is that I emailed the restaurant privately on the 21st to share this feedback and never received a reply. After several great visits in the past, this experience and the complete lack of acknowledgement makes me very hesitant to return

24/11/2025: Disappointing experience. I made a table reservation, yet we still had to wait at the bar for a while before they seated us. Looking at other reviews it seems to be standard practice there to make guests wait. When I arrived, there was no one I could speak to about the reservation—waitresses just walked past me while looking at me, and I had no idea how things were supposed to work. Are you supposed to wait to be seated or choose a table yourself? I had also emailed them beforehand with a question and never received a reply. That day, they were missing a lot of ingredients. They were promoting drinks for 12 euros, but when you try to order them, they say they don’t have the ingredients. In that case, they should just remove the posters from the tables and the bar. I ended up ordering my fourth-choice drink because of lack of ingredients. When we were eating, we asked for extra sauce because the meat was dry. We chose the verde sauce, which the waitress recommended, but she later came back to say they were out of that as well. Do not order the beef—it was not good. I had to chew it endlessly just to swallow it, and in the end, I had to spit some of it out. Overall, the service is not very friendly. There is a strange attitude; they don’t seem very communicative, they look at you with no reaction whatsoever, no smile. But they asked several times if I was finished with my food while passing by, even though i did not look for eye contact at that time, they seem with no consideration. Give people some time—if I’m ready, I’ll move my plate away myself.

20/10/2025: I bought a baguette with hot chicken this morning and the chicken was like a shoe sole, it was probably three days old and the baguette is also dry, disgusting! Considering the class of the store and the prices, I thought the food was of a high standard and fresh, big mistake, I will definitely not go back there.

16/10/2025: Cleanest premises ever .. food from the deli is outstanding. All staff are lovely to be with and it's always busy..

18/11/2025: A really proudly run family business, warm atmosphere, friendly staff and a real addition to the UCC campus area.

28/05/2025: This pub is one of those pubs that you go to for the first time and you're sure to like it. It's frequented by locals from this area and the surroundings, and also when students are celebrating during those student weeks. This pub is really cool and you laugh from beginning to end. I had the privilege of being there and just hanging out with the locals. It was very good, fun and very friendly. I really enjoyed it, in fact I loved it, and I recommend it to anyone in the area to go there.

02/10/2025: I had breakfast here today. The full breakfast is very good and the bread really nice and good value. Staff member stood behind me when asking for my order which was a bit odd as I didn’t know if she was speaking to me. Toilets very clean.

21/05/2025: Really nice cafe-restaurant. I had the hash and chorizo. Very reasonable price and very tasty and filling. The place is busy and popular.
