The best restaurants in Dublin

02/11/2025: The first time I was delighted, but unfortunately not the second time. The cocktails are delicious; I had a rhubarb-strawberry lemonade, I think. But as for the food, the brownie was really bad. The recipe is a disaster and should be removed from the menu. The base was too dry, the topping was too hot, it burned my palate, and luckily the ice cream, probably store-bought, redeemed the dessert. I was quite disappointed with the brownie, and the squid was poorly prepared; rubbery filaments were sticking out with every bite (quite unpleasant). Then there was the rather nonchalant service. It's like they see you're waiting but just relax and do nothing. There are really too many servers who do nothing in this restaurant (there was a slightly plump woman, probably of African descent, who was dancing during service instead of asking me what I wanted from the menu), when, of course, she was right in front of me. Like, why were you dancing in front of the bar and me for 10 minutes? You can see I want to order, but you don't take my order when our eyes meet. I think I waited 30 minutes for nothing in front of the woman. Only for a bearded man at the reception desk to finally take my order.

21/09/2025: Waited 30 for the mains to be cleared, asked for a dessert menu and it never came. Table beside us were cleared and menus received. Very disappointing end to the evening as the food was delicious and the service was great to begin with.

08/09/2025: Servers were attentive, and helpful, and very pleasant throughout. Very well priced for two people, and food was great size for price. I had the bacon chicken burger which was fantastic. A little too much cheese on the loaded fries for me. Very enjoyable night, with great food and service.

07/10/2025: Easily the best scones in Dublin. The Parlour in Blackrock is a little gem — great coffee, friendly chat, and a perfect spot to sit back and enjoy by the sea. The scones are traditional and done right, served with the all-important Dairygold (one for each side, as it should be) and proper jam. One of my wife and my favourite spots to wind down — simple, classic, unbeatable.

21/08/2025: One of the best Hotels in Europe. The scenic beauty and the vast landscaped parkland of 240 acres is feast for the eyes. It is a large hotel with 750+rooms and with 18 hole golf course. The rooms with classic style are spacious and the staff are very cooperative. Our stay here was pleasant. Ideally located and not very far from Dublin Airport. One difficulty which we faced was the access to our rooms being the building is very large and the location was through many turns through long corridors. We enlisted the landscapes and the serene atmosphere.

27/10/2025: Great value for the money and location was great.

26/10/2025: Nice hotel with good access from M7 (Kerry, Cork and Limerick, and Waterford via M9), easy parking option in underground space, clean rooms and good food. There is nothing well above the good standard, but also nothing below. Communication with Dublin city centre may be a little bit an issue if own car cannot be used, but for well planned trip the hotel may be considered as good option to stay.

11/08/2025: A cozy and pleasant place, the very professional staff always serve us with friendliness and promptness. The place is accessible, has Wi-Fi and many options... The cookie and lemonade is a good option, I highly recommend it.

05/05/2025: Nice quiet coffee-shop, big window to look out of, good staff. Granola bars, carrot cake etc., couldn't ask for more.

08/10/2025: I'm not a big fan of seafood, but this place surprised me! The experience was incredible and the sushi was simply delicious! The service was top-notch!

27/07/2025: I have been meaning to post this for years but I had my 40th birthday here in March 2024 and u still think about the night, it was so much fun. Lisa was so accommodating and easy going and the place is so deadly. Myself and my friends had such a blast. Thank you Lisa 😍😍😍

17/07/2025: Lisa real puts the Lisa in Lisa's Yummy. I never knew what a yummy was before going. But now I get IT. Let go of any expectations and submerge yourself into the warm neon bath. Youl find yourself in a liminal space between a takeaway, bar, and karaoke. I can wait to get back. I wish it was open 7 days a week. Shout out to the unstoppable Lucy who makes the best brownies 💛⭐️☀️⭐️💛

05/10/2025: Absolutely disgusting. The fish was cooked in the same fryer as pork sausages, and the fries were the same. It's very old. It's called a fish bar, but they only have one fish dish and about 40 pork dishes. Please be careful.

07/10/2025: Lovely cocktail bar with really unique wig decorations. The upstairs area is cozy and has a great vibe ✨

28/09/2025: “Great cocktails and a warm vibe. Loved the live jazz singing by @ericassings. The jazz singer’s velvet voice filled the room with warmth and elegance—made the night feel special. Definitely worth a visit!”

25/10/2025: Excellent local supermarket with nearly everything one would need for a weekly shop. Obviously, physical size is the limiting factor so less commonly used items can be difficult or impossible to find. Staff are friendly and helpful. Adequate car park that usually suffices but occasionally gets overwhelmed. Has an array of 7kw chargers - unfortunately 2 or 3 are permanently out of order and reporting this to a manager (repeatedly) is usually met with shoulder shrugging but no action. Very frustrating. If the chargers were fixed, this store would be a 5* one.

14/09/2025: Every time I am here the staff are so rude. Today I thanked the til operator and said have a good day after he scanned all my items. He looked in the opposite direction, completely ignoring me. It’s not the first time this has happened either. I’m not usually one to post a negative review, but as someone who has worked in customer facing roles for years (so I understand how difficult it can be) I just have always found the customer service here to be appalling it’s so disheartening.

02/11/2025: Accidentally spilled my pint after 30 seconds of buying it. Explained the bartender that it was a mistake and asked if maybe she could replace it. Instead she nastly said “you have to pay again, obviously” in a mean manner. Like I understand that but that was not nice to respond in such demeanour, especially the “obviously” part. Other bars would have replaced it for free.

26/08/2025: Marta did our wedding tower for our wedding this August. We organised from a distance so we had to put full trust in her expertise and I am so happy we did. The donuts were fresh and wonderful and the biscuit cake one top for the cutting was the best biscuit cake I have ever had. I had guests who don't eat cake ask to take some home.
