07/04/2026: Fun fact: once owned by Bono. Excellent location for everything, sights, tours, Guinness, shopping, etc. Can be noisy because it's located in Temple Bar district.

18/03/2026: Visited, 13 of us, 2013, was terrific. The Clarence location allowed us to walk to all of Dublin's sights. No cars on bridge over River Liffey out photo point. Less chaotic and more minstrels , jigs, on cobblestone streets -The Porterhouse, the best part of Temple Bar.

14/06/2026: The display says its 11 euro for a kebab, drink and chips, but I never got chips with my order. The kebab was incredibly underwhelming. The naan bread is good but it got ruined by an extreme amount of thi strange mild sauce that made everything soggy and messy to eat. The chicken was not seasoned at all, and it wasn't grilled once they cut it off the kebab rotisserie, which made it taste like mush. The staff never asked me what ingredients I wanted in it, or even if I wanted it spicy, which I do. They were more worried about changing the TV channel for the Scotland match for a group of drunken lads, so nobody was cooking, making it a really long wait for a simple kebab. The only good thing was these round donuts they sell on the counter, those were actually really nice. There are plenty other nicer kebab shops around, unfortunately it was late at night and my favourite spot was already closed, so I had to go to this one. Did not enjoy it.

13/06/2026: I came here about 3 years ago and still feel that this is some of the best food I've ever had in my life. Not just in Dublin, but the world. The staff was also very friendly and I still remember talking to one of the cooks about how he ski'd in the Winter Olympics before moving to Ireland. I also remember that the portion was perfect, and I was completely full after eating this for about 2/3 the price of other restaurants around. I came here 3 times during my trip. Highly recommend.

13/06/2026: The locals seem to stare at you a bit but that’s okay, I feel the same in my local. Good priced Guinness and really nice outdoor area. I loved the decor inside and the staff were top notch. Wish my local had Guinness this good.

29/07/2025: Estábamos en una crisis de tiempo después de que nuestro restaurante anterior estaba saturado. Hicieron espacio para nosotros a pesar de no tener una reserva y sacaron nuestra pizza y pasta rápido. La comida era buena e incluso acomodaron a mi hijo de 8 años con sus espaguetis. Restaurante sólido. ¡Pulgares arriba de mi hija!

27/06/2025: Excelente comida y ambiente. Estuvimos allí temprano por la noche un jueves no muchos en pero la comida era excelente y tenía un ambiente muy relajante. Encontramos el vino un poco caro, pero en general encontramos el precio del alcohol en lugares en Dublín más caro de lo que estamos acostumbrados. Hubiera tenido unos cuantos más si hubiera sido más razonable. En general muy bueno

10/07/2026: The restaurant looks really nice from the outside, but that was unfortunately the only positive thing. We had to get the menu ourselves at the door. Even after 15 minutes of waiting at the table, no one noticed us. When three waiters finally appeared, they all pretended not to see us. In the end, we got up and went somewhere else. Very disappointed with the attitude.

19/07/2026: Amazing place! The service was quick and efficient, and the whole place has a nice, cozy atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and happy to help, making the whole experience pleasant from start to finish. The smoothies were absolutely unreal—fresh, delicious, and definitely worth trying! I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back again

10/07/2026: Cafe would want to review their prices. €11.90 for a breakfast roll with Sausage, Bacon, Pudding and Egg and a can of Coke.

27/07/2026: Our experience at the Camden was disgraceful. After leaving, we realised our jackets had been left inside. We repeatedly asked the staff if one of us could briefly re-enter to collect them, or if a member of staff could retrieve them for us. Both requests were refused multiple times, with no attempt made to help resolve the situation. When we asked if we could return after the venue had closed to collect our jackets, we were told they could not guarantee that we would be allowed back in or even that our jackets would still be there. It was unbelievable to be left with so little reassurance regarding our own belongings. The only reason we got our jackets back was because Jimmy Rabbits kindly allowed one of us to enter through their premises to retrieve them. Without their help, we would have been left without our belongings. The front door staff was appalling. We felt undermined and our character was questioned for no reason. There was a complete lack of professionalism, empathy, or willingness to assist with what should have been a simple request. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this venue to anyone. Disgraceful service from start to finish.

02/06/2026: Awful experience. Went with my daughter for her first visit to an Ivy which she was so excited about but turned out to be the most embarrassing and awful experience due to extremely poor customer service. I have since written a formal complaint with absolutely no acknowledgement or response from customer relations. I would not recommend this restaurant and would go so far as to now not recommending any Ivy as if you have a genuine reason to complain you are not only publicly humiliated they choose to totally ignore which is totally shocking for a high end chain

01/06/2026: The Ivy is usually a good bet for consistency, but the Dublin branch was disappointing. Service was slow and although my meal was good, my husband’s was very poor. Even the choices of dessert was limited and the Tiramisu was mediocre .

27/06/2026: Ok, so this is only my seventh review in nine years. I hope that speaks to the idea that I’m a pretty easy-going guy. I really don’t like to complain. But this experience felt worth it… it all started because I booked 2 rooms at the castleknock through booking.com. I know I know, that’s amateur hour stuff. I’m ashamed to admit that I did that, but I’m trying to be authentic to this story. When I showed up to the castlesmock naturally they had a reservation for one room and not two. I double checked the reservation as well as my bank account and the reservation confirmed two rooms and they had withdrawn the appropriate money from my bank account. The desk agent appropriately told me that it was a booking.com mistake. I actually agree with her and I was ashamed that I made that booking. However. Just my luck, they were totally out of the room type I requested. They offered me a single bed room. But as much as I love my wife, I really didn’t want to bunk up in a single bed with her. I’m a pretty big guy and I probably would’ve had to have her lay directly on top of me to fit. It just wasn’t happening on what was supposed to be a nice vacation. So I accepted my fate and asked for a refund, and told them I would be on my merry way, and I would find another hotel. The front desk woman, with roughly the same decorum as that rental car lady from “planes, trains, and automobiles” disingenuously told me that my complaint was with booking.com and that I should take it up with them. “call the 800 number.” She didn’t have the least bit of sympathy, nor did she offer any level of effort to remediate the situation. Just smiled and told me to get lost (basically) So I went and sat in the lobby and called booking.com and naturally, they said they would have to call the castleknock, sharing with me that the mistake was most definitely on their side. After 30 minutes on hold, the lady came back and told me they would not give me a refund because they had other rooms available. I politely explained that they didn’t have the same configuration of room and I didn’t want to sleep on top of my Wife (I felt kind of bad saying that, but it had been a long day and I don’t think my wife wanted me sleeping on top of her either) So they put me back on hold. And after another 30 minutes, they came back and said there was nothing they could do because the castlehunk was refusing to give a refund. They told me to call the castletrunk. And back-and-forth we went for several calls. Eventually cooler heads prevailed and booking.com decided to give me the refund.. but it took several hours, and lots of hold time. I asked myself, what lesson did I learn here today? 1.) never use a middleman. It’s too easy for these types of mix ups to happen in a world of CRM systems and poor integrations. 2.) it’s sad that if you want be a nicer hotel like the castlerock that you won’t make an extra effort for your customers. Even the tiniest bit of empathy would’ve gone a long way. I had three kids with me and they were all crying. I’m serious. I’m not even being dramatic, and the lobby is really big, and it was echoing. I felt terrible for all of their other customers. Why couldn’t the woman callbooking.com with me, or hell even offer me a drink ticket or a round of golf? I wouldn’t have accepted it because I’m on a schedule, but it would’ve been a nice gesture. Literally no effort for remediation. It’s the one time in my life that I wished I was talking to an AI agent.. It’s really just unfortunate. I share some blame here. I admit it. But the castleblock could have fixed this. It never had to come to this. Them refusing to give me a refund because I wouldn’t sleep in a single bed with my wife was kind of insane. Just give me a refund and let move on with my life. It’s inconvenient, but I’ll get over it. And they were fully booked anyway, so no skin off their back. 3.) this world kind of sucks with service industry “professionals” who hide behind CRM systems, electronic booking tools, and third-party vendors. Just a sad bummer. Bad job castletruck.

08/06/2026: Such a lovely weekend staying here, brilliant staff. Beautiful and spacious rooms. Delicious food and drink.

08/07/2026: Bad experience. Chicken taste very bad. We let everything. We couldn't even eat. Staff kind but this is not enough to return back. I don't recommend

31/07/2026: We ordered 3 lamb kebabs meals, came with fries and a drink(we recommend a traditional turkish drink ayran) the kebabs were good but the meat was cut a bit thick making it a little chewy. The order took around 10 mins to prepare. The staff was nice and there are indoor tables but no outdoor tables. There are around 10-15 parking spaces avaliable in front of the place that is free. Will return! Thanks!

21/06/2026: I have been dining at Xian since 2022, and their signature Spicy Bag has always been very good. However, I have noticed that the quality has changed over the past few weeks. The taste and crispness are not the same as before. I wonder if they have changed the recipe or ingredients. I hope they bring back the original taste soon. Also, a few weeks ago, I ordered a Spicy Bag with extra chicken, but I was given a regular Spicy Bag instead of what I paid for. It could have been a mistake. Overall, it’s still worth the price.
