The best restaurants in Dublin

17/07/2026: Got a fresh cod meal. Fish was perfect, chips really really good. The meal deal does not come with a sauce but you get a drink. They offered to swap the drink for a sauce, which is a great option. The weakest link was the garlic sauce, runny and not too garlicky. Improve the sauce please, it needs a bit of work! Staff is polite, place is clean with customers coming and going. Will definitely be back for another perfect fish and chips..

07/07/2026: We got this yesterday, and honestly it was one of the best chippers we ever had. The food was fresh and excellent. The portions were also very generous. The delivery was prompt, and the lady who brought it to the hotel to us was a pleasure to deal with. The food was still very hot when we got it. We'll definitely get this the next time we're in Dublin again.

28/09/2026: Idlewild is a spot of calm in a busy part of the city. The bar has a variety of seating areas that range from the usual tables and chairs, to big, plush sofas. Service is friendly and the toasties are excellent. The beer and a toastie deal for €8 is a must, and marries perfectly.

20/09/2026: Good vibes, longer dark haired Barman (sorry didn’t get name) was really attentive!!

07/09/2026: there seemed to be no security on the floor or at least they were not paying attention, a physical fight broke out for a solid 5 minutes and no staff intervened, they eventually just stopped fighting on their own. bathrooms are a disgrace, only gender neutral bathrooms with no separate space for just women which is ridiculous for a nightclub. guys were hitting on me and my friends in the bathroom and there was no women only space for us to go and sorry, but i don’t want to be around guys pissing in the urinal while waiting for a free stall, gender neutral bathrooms have their place, but not having a women only bathroom isn’t the safest option in my opinion. there was also a guy completely tweaking out on the dance floor, falling on everyone and at one point completely passed out, a girl tried to flag down floor staff / security by flashing her phone light at him and calling out but to no avail. also as some other reviews mention, the sound quality is not as good as other venues and is way too hot, really needs some more ventilation, even the smoking area was incredibly hot, and could definitely turn the smoke down. really just not acceptable stuff for a venue with a seemingly very good reputation. the venue itself is really cool, just seems to be poorly managed, atleast on the night i was there.

23/09/2026: The maps indicated the wrong position! Me and my friend were meeting briefly in dublin so decided to grab a nando's, the map sent us to some random house, I only had 2 hours before I had to fly out so the delay reduced the time we could relax and chat. Walked in with no greeting and sat ourselves down, ordered through QR code (standard.) Only interaction was food delivered. Service needs an improvement. Food is good, it's nando's, as always.

19/09/2026: I loved the place! The waiter Jotape is a sweetheart, he served us super well, we'll be back because of that service!

17/09/2026: Normally really enjoy this place, but ordered Waffles yesterday and was really disappointed. Portion was small and meal was very dry. 1 waffle halved, not much toppings or substance for €15.50. We also ordered 2 teas and got one small pot that is usually served to 1 person. Was this because we came at half 2. Not sure but will put me off returning unfortunately 😕

07/08/2026: Probably one of the best kept secrets around. It's a kebab shop but half the price compared to Zatoons and others around town but food a little bit better. Even though it's a kebab shop, they also have an Indian menu and the chefs is awesome. Throw yea something together in a few. Lamb Rogan Josh top quality.

06/09/2026: Very recommended to pick the Chef’s sunday surprise menu. It’s 49 euros but the variety, the quantity and the quality it’s outstanding.

09/08/2026: Delicious meal with extreme care given to allergy requests (coeliac friendly). Wonderful staff with beautiful wine pairing. Best food available in blackrock/stilorgan area

12/07/2026: Fantastic stop for a nice, quite & easy coffee bike ride. Tried the lemon raspberry cake and an iced latte and was blown away by this hidden 💎

30/08/2026: Not a fish eater myself, but my parter if a fish fiend and completely adored what was on offer here. The price was a bit steep but I suppose thay is sto expected of such a tourist destination. Still, served as a lovely meal while we endured the blistering heat a month ago

23/08/2026: The Dun Laoghaire promenade is one of my favorite spots in Dublin. It has a beautiful view and wonderful places to explore. But there is nothing better that a great meal of fish and chips to complete the experience. The fish and chips were perfect! Delicious and fresh made by a wonderful staff. I will come back again the next time I visit.
