The best restaurants in Dublin

27/04/2025: We are big fans of little forest and their wonderful pizzas to take away and have always been meaning to book a table. So on Easter Saturday my Daughter was home for London and we booked for 4 at 6pm. The reservation system clearly specified 90 minutes (I’m thinking a little too short for a 4 person booking but let’s give it a go and see!) I love the food here and actually think, contrary to other reviews elsewhere that it is fairly priced. So why only 2/5? We arrived bang on time, ordered cocktails and I noticed other tables arriving at the exact same time! Restaurant filling up at the same time is never a good sign if you need to hand the table back within 90 minutes! Our starters arrived and were amazing. Then there was a scary wait for our mains! They arrived at 7.15! Table to be returned at 7.30. I said this to the wait staff and was told we were ok until 8pm. Phew, so I ordered another bottle of wine and relaxed. Then just as we finished our mains at about 7.40pm. (BTW I hate reviewers that write about times, as they are often exaggerated), not here I promise. A few minutes later our bill was presented. The young lady presenting it said they really need the table back and she was leaving this here for me and will be right back with the machine! I’m thinking, what just happened here? Still a half bottle of wine, empty mains on the table but Iv gotta pay up and move on. I enquired about dessert and was told that “I can bring you a tiramisu in a hurry now”. So, I brought it to someone else’s attention. He proceeded to remove the starters, which I was grateful for. I just very much dislike being rushed for dinner. How is an hour and a half a relaxed dining experience. This dining experience is not Hospitality, it’s just nearly service. This was all transactional. Online booking, email to confirm you’re actually coming and then the in person experience is like going from A to B on a Ryanair flight!

29/04/2025: We wanted to eat something quickly but they had nothing left on the menu except soup and a stuffed potato. Then soup for €7.50 and €0.90 cents for a sandwich. To my surprise we received a flat plate with 1 scoop of soup, some croutons and pesto. You can't call it soup, it's tomato sauce. Bizarre price and bad service.

24/04/2025: Alright, listen up. The M&S Rooftop Café in Dublin? It’s a proper gem. 🍀 You’re down there shopping for whatever you need, then you head up to this little oasis, and bam – you've got a view of the whole city. Not bad, huh? You grab yourself a coffee, maybe a scone if you’re feeling fancy, and suddenly everything feels a bit more... relaxed, ya know? It’s like the world slows down for a minute. ☕️🧁

22/03/2025: Enjoy going here for a coffee.lovely quiet place with old style seating and furniture.Great if you just want a good cup of coffee and a place to relax.Really good coffee but a bit pricey

06/02/2025: This cafe is decorated so tastefully,BUT I am writing this whilst I’m sitting here , it is absolutely filthy !!!the floors are so dirty and the windows, and table I’m sitting at is all sticky ,pretty much everything is filthy !!! The staff are standing around chatting and I’m looking at two tables with dirty dishes on them ! CLEAN YOUR COFFEE SHOP !

23/02/2025: The coffee is great, however they no longer serve coffee in porcelain cups... Can't really claim you like coffee if you don't have coffee cups! Oh and also, the environment!

14/04/2025: Pretty good pizza, friendly and fast service. Eating in is not something you should do here for the nice and quiet setting, but it’s mainly take-away so that’s to be expected.

28/02/2025: I originally ordered food from Roberto's in the last 2 years. Food was lovely. However last 2 times I called they said they don't deliver to where I live anymore. I live no more than ten minutes away from Belmayne. I was so terribly disappointed by the response I got and how abrupt it was.

16/02/2025: Chain, relaxing atmosphere perfect for drinking tea with porridge in one of their armchairs with a good book or for studying on your computer. The place is relaxing and calm.

18/04/2025: It's not the best hotel I’ve ever visited, but it's okay. Unfortunately, there are construction works, and the two buildings are separated, we have to go outside to access the other building in order to use the facilities.

16/04/2025: Great location. Just 10 minutes walk to the city centre. Just check before booking if the construction next door is still ongoing. It can get noisy from early on. Ask for a room on the other side if so. Also be mindful that it’s surrounded by clubs and bars. Great for young people but if you’re like me, want to get to bed before midnight, then it can be noisy around the area. Overall a grand experience. We had the corner room with great views and a turntable.

29/03/2025: Toasted sandwich was tasteless and bread was like cardboard. Floor filthy. Staff member served me only when completely finished her chat with other staff member. Would not recommend this place.

18/03/2025: I have been coming to this place for over a year now, food is always tasty and fresh great atmosphere. Always clean and free parking. Highly recommended!

19/04/2025: Chicken udon noodles tasted like burn oil. Definitely not ordering that again. The beef curry was okay.

13/04/2025: That Alan guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Chicken filllet burger meal was top notch. The chips cooked and salted to perfection, the vinegar elegantly dispersed across the thick cut chippy chips. A chicken fillet that would water the mouth, on a bun that perfectly compliments the crispy skin. Get Alan off google reviews.

30/03/2025: It used to be amazing food, last time I ordered maybe in 2023. I couldn't believe what I found out in my fish box today. Soggy, raw chips, I asked for salt and vinegar- there was no salt and chips were sinking in vinegar. But the worst was fish: old, smelly (probably smoked not fresh) unseasoned without pinch of salt or pepper, cheewy burnt batte. Even though I'm not super demanding in terms of takeaway food this time I was almost crying, my daughter was upset as it was our Mothers Day dinner - we were not able to eat it. Terrible terrible disappointment, never again.
