13/04/2025: That Alan guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Chicken filllet burger meal was top notch. The chips cooked and salted to perfection, the vinegar elegantly dispersed across the thick cut chippy chips. A chicken fillet that would water the mouth, on a bun that perfectly compliments the crispy skin. Get Alan off google reviews.

31/05/2025: We were asked to sit in the bar because the restaurant section was for those with reservations. (Totally fine.) We were then ignored for 20 minutes while other bar customers were seated, drink orders taken and delivered, and food ordered. We asked a passing server who our server was, it was her and she said she’d get to us, but didn’t. We waited another 5 minutes and then left. The server had to use the host station to put in her orders. While there every new guest assumed she was the host and asked for help. I could see the problem and didn’t blame her for the issue, the host was never at the station.

20/07/2025: I’m very disappointed with my visit a week ago. I specifically ordered a Caramel Macchiato with soy or almond milk because I have lactose intolerance. Despite my clear request, it was made with regular dairy milk. Within minutes, I started experiencing severe stomach discomfort that prompted me to go home early due to diarrhea. This isn't just a preference it’s a health issue, and I trusted your staff to take it seriously. Please ensure your team is more attentive and careful with dietary instructions. Mistakes like this can have real consequences for your customers.

16/07/2025: Pastries are poor. I had a chocolate twist . Doughy and heavy. Coffee was not piping hot. Service is good and location and atmosphere excellent. They need an uptick in the food and coffee offering and then you’re talking 5 stars.

08/07/2025: Real traditional Irish pub. Looked to be closed when I arrived as the windows were boarded up and the Guinness sign was missing. When I went in the barman said the windows were blacked out so that the customers could view the TV easier and that the Guinness sign had been blown away. Cash only. Landlord was happy to accept Sterling though. Very authentic Irish pub. I’d highly recommend it.

31/05/2025: We showed up at 11:35pm. (Said open to 12:30) anthe place looked like it closed years ago? I am surprised at how this town seems to roll up the sidewalks at midnight. Had to go to a hotel bar for an overpriced Guiness. What a miss.

11/05/2025: Unfortunately we ordered the noodle dish and specifically said not to be spicey. It was on our receipt as well. Later we try dish - we were crying from spiciness, tongues burning. I eat spicy often, this dish was proper spicy, so someone clearly dropped the ball in their kitchen. It's embarrassing as it's not rocket science to not make a dish spicey if that's the specification that they themselves ask for. I do give 2 stars as the dish was edible (with a lot of extra water to help)

08/05/2025: Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this street food restaurant due to the extremely disappointing experience I had. The concept is simple: you choose a type of pasta, a sauce, a protein, and sides at the counter, receive a number, and wait outside to be called. The standard wait time of 15 minutes would be acceptable, but I ended up waiting 30 minutes with no sign of my order. After several attempts to ask the staff about the status, the responses were always vague, like “it’s coming” or “it’s being prepared,” with no concrete action. During that time, I watched several customers being served and receiving their orders while mine remained delayed. Finally, after going inside to request a cancellation, my order was handed to me while still being packed, highlighting the staff’s lack of organization in managing the flow of orders. To make matters worse, the portion served was tiny – a handful of noodles, a few pieces of meat, and a disproportionate amount of vegetables. The combination of excessive waiting time, poor organization, and unsatisfactory portion size makes this an experience I do not intend to repeat or recommend.

04/05/2025: i ordered a pizza a week ago there through deliveroo but it didnt come, due to technical errors that was not their fault, regardless the crew made me a new meal pretty quickly the service was fast

26/03/2025: Always forget something in your order I youse to always order from here but now very clumsy staff when you ring back to ask about it hold no accountability or offer credit always act like its your fault and try twist the order and manager is never there wouldn’t mind their prices went up won’t be ordering here again

03/06/2025: The food is good and the staff are nice if you get chatting with them, the focaccia bread can be a bit heavy on the butter sometimes but that’s not always the worst thing. Worth stopping in if you’re around the area. The dough balls were pretty good too!

12/04/2025: Only go here if you hate flavours. Took the Cat’a ladder pizza with extra chicken and it is a strong contender for worst pizza of my life. No salt or flavours. The potato wedges are also just huge chunks of unflavoured potato, not crispy or even good. It takes effort to make potatoes taste this bad. A bit mad because I was really hungry but the food was not good nor worth the price.

15/06/2025: I've been living in Blackrock for six years but have only just discovered this gem. Very tasty pizza, attentive service (special commendation) and wallet friendly! I was in with my partner at 4.30pm on a Saturday, a last minute booking on our side and LF were very responsive to my email request (minutes to respond, on a Saturday). It got busy yes, but we were clearly told about the 90 minute time slot so none of that was a surprise and we had enough time in the child minder bank to go for a quick after dinner drink over the road. Perfect.

27/04/2025: We are big fans of little forest and their wonderful pizzas to take away and have always been meaning to book a table. So on Easter Saturday my Daughter was home for London and we booked for 4 at 6pm. The reservation system clearly specified 90 minutes (I’m thinking a little too short for a 4 person booking but let’s give it a go and see!) I love the food here and actually think, contrary to other reviews elsewhere that it is fairly priced. So why only 2/5? We arrived bang on time, ordered cocktails and I noticed other tables arriving at the exact same time! Restaurant filling up at the same time is never a good sign if you need to hand the table back within 90 minutes! Our starters arrived and were amazing. Then there was a scary wait for our mains! They arrived at 7.15! Table to be returned at 7.30. I said this to the wait staff and was told we were ok until 8pm. Phew, so I ordered another bottle of wine and relaxed. Then just as we finished our mains at about 7.40pm. (BTW I hate reviewers that write about times, as they are often exaggerated), not here I promise. A few minutes later our bill was presented. The young lady presenting it said they really need the table back and she was leaving this here for me and will be right back with the machine! I’m thinking, what just happened here? Still a half bottle of wine, empty mains on the table but Iv gotta pay up and move on. I enquired about dessert and was told that “I can bring you a tiramisu in a hurry now”. So, I brought it to someone else’s attention. He proceeded to remove the starters, which I was grateful for. I just very much dislike being rushed for dinner. How is an hour and a half a relaxed dining experience. This dining experience is not Hospitality, it’s just nearly service. This was all transactional. Online booking, email to confirm you’re actually coming and then the in person experience is like going from A to B on a Ryanair flight!

17/04/2025: I’ve been to Starbucks all over the world, and here in Dublin, I visit almost every store with the exact same order every day. Today, I went to the Dundrum branch and had a really disappointing experience. A barista named Claudia told me she couldn’t fill up the cold foam on my drink because “it’s not secured.” I was genuinely confused. I’ve never been told that before. Another barista came over (she was lovely) and kindly asked, “Do you want me to fill it up?” which I really appreciated. Claudia then rolled her eyes and shook her head in disapproval multiple times, which felt unnecessarily rude. Her tone was very dismissive, and to be honest, it was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a Starbucks barista. I’ve always loved how friendly and welcoming Starbucks staff are, both here and abroad, but this was the first time I felt genuinely uncomfortable. I just wanted to flag this because her attitude doesn’t reflect the usual great service I’ve come to expect from Starbucks.
