The best restaurants in Dublin

27/09/2026: I went there for a casual coffee with a friend. While the food was perfectly fine, unfortunately, we had a very unpleasant experience due to the attitude and behaviour of one of the waitresses. The waitress who served us was extremely rude and dismissive throughout our visit. She was the only Black member of staff and was not wearing a name tag. When I politely asked for a sugar substitute, she told me to go and get it myself from the bar. Later, when I asked for some water, I was given the same response. I could have understood this if the restaurant had been particularly busy, but the place was almost empty, and she appeared to be spending her time cleaning tables that did not need attention. What was particularly disappointing happened towards the end of our visit. We still had food on our plates when, without asking whether we had finished, she took the plates away, stacked them together, and told us that they were closing. This was despite there still being approximately 45 minutes until the advertised closing time. At first, I wondered whether her behaviour towards us might have been racially motivated. However, what concerned me even more was seeing her treat two elderly customers sitting beside us in an even more rude and dismissive manner. Regardless of the reason, the way customers were being treated was completely inappropriate and made the experience very uncomfortable. I would strongly encourage management to look into this incident and, more generally, to review the standards of customer service and manners expected from staff. The food may have been fine, but the way we were treated is what we will remember from our visit.

10/08/2026: I say down to wait on my friend, so we could have lunch together here. The older staff woman came over with a big smile telling me I shouldn't dare sit down before ordering. I felt like crap. I advise people not to go here. It seems to be the woman in charge with a venomous attitude and the staff walking on eggshells round her. No a good scenario. Don't spend your money here , not your time and energy.

25/05/2026: Very disappointing experience at The Bagel Bar café in Omni Shopping Centre. If you’re a person of colour, be prepared to feel unwelcome. Some of the senior staff were rude, dismissive, and made us feel uncomfortable with their attitude and eye-rolling throughout our visit. This was our fourth time visiting, and every single time it has been uncomfortable. Today we ended up going there because O’Brien’s toaster wasn’t working. We spent around €30 and honestly left feeling upset rather than relaxed. The bagels were average, and the coffee was just okay — definitely not worth the experience. Good customer service and basic respect should be for everyone. Sadly, this kind of rude behaviour seems to be becoming more common in Dublin lately.

05/08/2026: I was charged €50.50 rather than €1.50 for a tea and the staff did not explicitly apologise. I was very disappointed for this to occur, especially in a student coffee shop. Waiting for the refund to be processed.

24/07/2026: Awful coffee & dried out pastry. Next time I'll wait until 8.30 am and go to Bluebird.

11/04/2026: The Barista clearly doesn't like her job. I paid €5.50 for a latte that was litterally just thrown into a cup with no care to properly froth or make the beverage.

16/05/2026: €16 for a tea, mediocre coffee and two underwhelming pastries. It is genuinely not worth it.

23/08/2026: The food was overwhelmingly dominated by garam masala, and overall, the dishes did not taste good, only sharp spicy test, especially considering the €19 price on Saturday. They could easily have served tap water instead of charging €2 for a bottle of water. The service was also disappointing, and the staff member was quite rude. I would never recommend this place to my friends or family. They deserve only one star. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

05/07/2026: This place is filthy. I paid, sat down, looked around and felt as if I was inside a garbage collector. I felt nauseous and had to leave.

20/07/2026: Veggie Burger was very good. The service was prompt and courteous.

14/04/2026: Disappointing service – stingy with basics I had a very frustrating experience here. The staff was incredibly rude when we made a simple request for extra tissues. We were only given one, and when we asked for one more, the salesperson was dismissive and claimed they didn't have any. It’s hard to enjoy a meal when you feel like you’re bothering the staff just by asking for basic necessities. Won't be coming back.

20/09/2026: Worst Starbucks I've ever had. Vente latte just tastes like hot milk.

26/07/2026: It’s a nice place with decent food, and I believe a Starbucks opened there recently.

13/07/2026: Ordered last night for the first time in ten years. Twenty years ago this was our only Chinese , I would never order again. Food felt reheated stale, portions were miserable. Would honestly have made a much nicer meal from my freezer. Don’t waste your money. I never leave reviews btw unless good.

06/07/2026: The order arrived on time, but the quality is crap. The sandwiches were crushed, dry, and cold. We ordered toasted sandwiches, but they didn't. The nachos were cold with a piece of cheese. The cheese balls were incredibly spicy, and they didn't warn us. The potato waffles were soggy and in one piece. One cookie was bitten off, leaving teeth marks!!!

11/06/2026: Great food and nice staff, say so far it's one of the best subways in Dublin. Was helped how to use the self-order kiosk by the staff. Sadly it was interrupted by poor deliveroo drivers shot gun passenger who abuse the staff. There should be a policy to protect staff… also if someone who's shotgunning for the deliveroo driver is picking the order. Doesn't seem like my food is being delivered safely if I'm the one orderifn food. Who will hold responsibility if the order isn't right. Shouldn't be the subway staff but the deliveroo driver for sure.

30/08/2026: The food from here was practically inedible, meat was so chewy and tasted off. Took an hour and a half to arrive and was cold. Will never order from here again

28/08/2026: The quality of the food I got was honestly so disappointing. I've eaten it many times but this time will be my last, not only was the food terrible it also came in a brown paper bag?? My blackbean beef was neon orange...Where did the budget go overnight?? Do better!
