The best restaurants in Dublin

15/12/2025: I've collected takeaway from here a few times in recent weeks. I typically ordered crispy chicken and black bean noodles. I found them pretty good and decent value. Recommended

11/01/2026: Poorly prepared steak and hygiene issues. Ordered a medium-rare steak and received it medium-well, clearly overcooked on a dirty grill with burnt residue. Replacement arrived 15 minutes later and was still wrong, medium to medium-well, while the other person's food was getting cold so she had to eat alone. For the price, the quality is not acceptable. You can get better steak elsewhere in town, even for less. Chips were cold, and the vinegar bottle was dirty with a fly inside. Yes, a fly inside. Disgusting. What i received here i can make at home on any frying pan. When we arrived, the tables were messy and we were seated anyway. During our entire stay, staff continued setting up around us, constantly moving tables, chairs, and walking by. For a restaurant at this price level, everything should be ready before guests arrive. The constant movement made the experience uncomfortable and not relaxing at all. I took a few weeks to write this review to make sure I wasn't doing it out of anger, but the food was so disgusting that I can't help but feel that way again.

22/12/2025: Had a very disappointing experience here last Friday. Had a reservation at 7.45pm, when we were seated it was never mentioned that the kitchen closed at 8pm. We were also left for 15 minutes without anyone taking our food or drink orders. We finally flagged a member of staff down ourselves, and advised them we were using a voucher. When they validated the voucher they then informed us that the kitchen was closed and we would have to move to the bar area and order off of the bar menu. From this point the service was better, though when we got the bill the voucher had not been applied and we had to share details of the voucher we had saved for it to be added again to our table. We also didn't get our first drinks until 8.30 which was 45 minutes after we arrived. The staff seemed polite and friendly and were doing their best, but all in all it seemed very unorganised and staff not trained to the level they should be. I still can't understand why we were seated at 7.45 and not told the kitchen was about to close and also left without service until the kitchen closed. Cannot see ourselves going back again.

10/12/2025: Really Disappointing experience with Paramount hotel i recently visited in December 2025. The room had no ventilation and there was really bad smell in room coming from toilets like Urination, even after spraying perfumes and doing all possible stuff it felt like puking all time couldn’t sleep all night as bed was just beside toilet. The room was not so spacious it was bathroom sized rooms. Worst worst worst experience i ever had. I recommend everyone who is reading this review please consider booking another hotel as this will give you Trauma for life…

04/01/2026: Absolute best spice bag in Dublin, the new "Dry Hot" one. Incredible! Unbelievably generous portions, absolutely delicious, actually some flavour other than salt like so many other spice bags. Fried rice was amazing, and the delivery was really efficient, and the driver really friendly. After trying about 15 different spice bags around Dublin this past six months, we have a winner! You have to try the salt and chilli tenders too 🙈

09/08/2025: Absolutely terrible service from the blonde girl at the counter. I walked in the place and we were the only costumers. Had to wait 3 minutes while she just sat there doing nothing before she even look at us to take our order. After giving the order slowly and clear, we received the wrong order. Of course i didn’t check on the spot all the items, which the wrong item was the last in the bag, but with previous experience, never had an issue. When i got home, i called the shop, and trying to reason with probably her on the phone, she insisted i’d be paying for the replacement of the wrong item and delivery. Absolutely gutted with this service!! Very unprofessional!

17/01/2026: Avoid at all cost!! Went with my husband today, we ordered tandoori chicken for starters, my husbands was brought out first served on a black plate he cut into the chicken and there was blood i called the waiter and told him, he said no blood should be coming from it then went to get the "manager". He came down and before even looking at the plate said that there was no blood that this is how its supposed to look it is the marinade. We both said this was blood he kept dismissing us saying we were wrong. He then said what do you want me to do so I said well maybe you can change it my husband said no i will pass on starters and just wait for my main course. He rolled his eyes and walked of, the manner in how we were spoken to by a so called "manager" was nothing but appalling, we finished our meal and after paying i said I wasn't happy with how we were treated the plate was black so obviously they weren't able to see the blood and the way we were spoken to was wrong the server then said that the chef said there is a science to how the chicken is done🤦🏻‍♀️it would of been fine to eat. At this stage I just wanted out of there so we left, we were the only 2 people in the restaurant and now I know why! Never again would I go back even if I was been paid to. They clearly have no concern with HACCP and food safety!

19/12/2025: Base is very nice, but expensive. What’s annoying is that on multiple occasions this location is available to order and then when you choose your items they’re suddenly no longer taking orders. It’s frustrating and a bad service to allow people to click, choose their order and then deny it at checkout.

07/09/2025: The initial professional welcome by the chap on duty was my highlight, thereafter it was interesting as this dinky and oh so trendy eaterie beyond the ladies 'leisure shoes' section positively leaked customers. No 'Front of House' staff stationed at the entrance, with, it seems, only two staff seemed manning the fort, a third on barista duty. We watched bemused as ignored and impatient ladies walked away while the priority seemed to be to clear tables. Ok, to the food: elegantly presented maple bacon croissant for me and a chorizo hash were tasty brunch items with decent herbal teas and coffees. Two poached eggs with each were cooked perfectly and the croissant was good for the 'mopping-up'. There's a good buzz in and around this place so maybe BTs has finally got a good café formula. Tweaks will come and the hard-working staff will hopefully get some leadership..

01/08/2025: Kinda Terrible... Order: Chorizo Hash (€17.50), Chicken Wrap (€15.50), 2 × Americano (€8.40). Total: €41.40. for a below average brunch. The chorizo hash was mishandled twice. First plate arrived with hard-cooked eggs; when I queried it, the response was awkward with the waiter, another staff member rescued the situation from afar. The second plate swung the other way: the egg whites were undercooked and runny, you know like snotty egg white (gag) and the dish was over-sauced and oily. The chicken wrap and coffees were fine, and the room is pleasant, but at these prices I expect consistency and properly poached eggs. Service was willing; execution wasn’t. Bottom line: disappointing overall — we won’t be back. I'd suggest, don't waste your time / money here.
