The best restaurants in Dublin

26/08/2026: Victor - the manager of the Baggot St store is a credit to Sprout and Co and such friendly and personable manager! I had an issue with my order where I ordered on a Kiosk and the order unfortunately didn’t go through on the tills for them to make my bowl. After waiting about 10 minutes Victor approached me and asked if I ordered. He quickly resolved my issue and jot the bowl made for me there and then. Not only that, he ensured the next time I was there, I recieved a free bowl for what happened. Exceptional customer service and he really went above and beyond for me! These are the kind of moments that could ruin your opinion of a business, but instead, I have an even greater opinion of the business.

21/07/2026: Best pub in Dublin by far! We’ve come here for years, but wanted to write a review tonight about how particularly lovely the staff were this evening (21st of July). Friendly and efficient, and the cocktails were delicious! Highly recommend the Cherrywood Sour 🍒

29/06/2026: We love bolands. We love the atmosphere. The food (the smash burgers), the staff are amazing! Our whole family including the dog always have the best time here.

18/08/2026: Used to love Insomnia Howth road, the two Chinese girls always so friendly, a lovely quiet place to unwind, go on the laptop, read a paper in peace, visited today first time since renovations and not impressed at all, the new interior and lighting is too modern, harsh, non relaxing,total lack of seating now and so noisy, new staff not as friendly.i could not wait to get out tbh.gutted my place of tranquility destroyed.

25/08/2026: I visited Passion4Food Ongar today and ordered two Chicken Doner Kebabs to take away. When I got home, I noticed on the receipt that I had also been charged €2 for a Coke Zero, even though I had not ordered or received one. I recommend checking your receipt carefully before leaving.

10/06/2026: The Bakery is a nice place in the neighborhood. I had a loaf of bread, two cakes, and a dirty chai latte to drink. I forgot the names of the cakes, but they were both really good. The staff were amazing — young, friendly, and welcoming. The place itself is lovely, very colorful, and full of good things to choose from. The dirty chai latte tasted great. What I really loved was that they made it with a tea bag, and they asked me if I wanted a single or double shot of espresso. They also added cinnamon, which is something not everyone does. I loved it. The chai was creamy, flavorful, and well balanced. The bread was also very good — soft, big, fairly priced, and great quality. Both cakes were tasty, sweet but not too sweet, and you could feel that they were made with love. It was a really nice experience, and I am happy I found this place. Give them a try. They are amazing

17/08/2026: We are regular here since the food are cheaper compared to other japanese resto and the kids love their ramen. However, we need to endure bad service most of the time and rude waitress which ruins our day/occassion. They need to train their servers to be respectful and cheerful given that they are in service industry. It's safe to say that we are not coming back anytime soon or never at all.

25/09/2026: The Cellar at The Merrion Hotel is certainly a unique dining experience. Located literally in the cellar of this beautiful hotel, the restaurant has a very cool and distinctive atmosphere. We were a party of four with dinner reservations and were seated promptly with no issues. The menu is somewhat limited, but everything we ordered was first rate. The lentil soup was outstanding, and the fish and chips, chicken, bread, and desserts were all excellent. The cocktails were equally impressive. We had Old Fashioneds, Manhattans, and Whiskey Sours, and every drink was very well made. Unfortunately, the service was the major disappointment of the evening. There seemed to be very little attention paid to our table throughout dinner. On three separate occasions, one of us actually had to get up and find someone to get something that normally should have been taken care of without asking. Given the quality of the hotel and the food, we expected a much higher level of service. It really put a damper on what otherwise would have been an excellent dinner. Overall, the ambiance is unique, the food is outstanding, and the cocktails are excellent. However, based on our experience, I wouldn’t recommend The Cellar specifically for dinner because the lack of attentive service took too much away from the evening. I would absolutely recommend stopping in for drinks, though. The bar had a great atmosphere and seemed to be really lively. If you’re staying at The Merrion, as we were, it’s also extremely convenient. Great food, great cocktails, and a very cool setting but for us, the dinner service simply didn’t match the quality of everything else.

23/09/2026: I stopped by simply for a drink. The welcome was warm, the atmosphere is cozy, and the place is beautiful and truly unique. A quality spot 😉

28/08/2026: I ordered delivery from them, and what an amazing choice! The food arrived hot, nicely packaged with great care, nothing to complain about. It was by far one of my best Brazilian delivery experiences.

25/09/2026: Very disapointing experience. Very expensive for quantities served ! We were really shocked that the portions were tinny ! I know tapas is small by definition but this is 1/2 Tapas for 8/9 euros. Some of the tapas were really tasteless (empenadas I did not recommend at all). The ambience (low light and candles) is cute for couple, but also very noisy. Servers were nice but not special. Anything extra is 2/3 euros (bread is 2E!!!) Portion of hummous 3E, Mayo aioli 1,5E !!! What is that ?

03/09/2026: I ordered hx46 for dinner to be delivered an hour later when I would be home. The delivery took another half an hour as they had made a mistake to say the order was collection. I had asked for the whole meal to be gluten free as I am intolerant & it makes me sick. They included prawn crackers in the order , regardless and I had to call and be told they were not gluten free. This can be very dangerous for a coeliac and I asked for the delivery to be refunded which I was denied. Not great customer experience at all
