The best restaurants in Dublin

30/11/2025: While the establishment has a charming aesthetic, its location is quite central and often congested. The interior is very small, and seating may be near patrons waiting in a long queue. ​For those who appreciate subtle flavors and elaborate confections, the offerings may appeal. However, as someone who doesn't favor sweet dishes, rose flavorings (in both tea and cake), or delicate desserts like macarons, the offering wasn't to my personal taste. Despite this, the quality of the cake and tea was good, and the service was sophisticated and attentive.

30/11/2025: Amazing Experience at Ladurée! Just had a lovely time at Ladurée in Dublin with my friend. Patricia, our host, was super friendly and made us feel right at home. She answered all our questions and was just genuinely nice. We tried the croque monsieur and wow—it was so tasty! The food was fresh and really hit the spot. Honestly, all the staff were great, but Patricia stood out and made our visit extra special. Highly recommend this place if you want good vibes and delicious food. Thanks, Patricia!

04/08/2025: I have so many fond memories of The Clarence. When I heard of the substantial renovations it was about to undergo, I decided to book a stay there at the end of July as a sort of 'goodbye' to the scene of so many good times. Though some of the rooms have been looking a bit worn of late, 303 was still in great condition. Check-in was easy, and the sets of double windows minimized noise from the quays. There is a real charm to the look and feel of the rooms - the well-built, practical cabinets, the subtle gold tiling accenting the bath. I fear most of it will be replaced by whatever happens to be trendy as the refit is undertaken, but hopefully some of what made the place special will survive. Most of all, it's a real loss to see the hotel staff scattered to the winds. I sadly didn't get his name, but I'd like to especially highlight the kindness and care of the staff member who was manning reception on August 4th. I nipped in with a last minute request, and he (and the colleague he found to assist me) could not have been more gracious, even as the hotel was being packed up and closed around him. So long to The Clarence. What a great run.

30/12/2025: Booked for a special birthday dinner. Food was good for most of our party but my steak was overcooked. Told waiter but nothing more was said as I didnt want to return it & eat on my own! Service was poor. Overall disappointed!

19/01/2026: So I went to Salamanca with my two daughters genevieve and Susannah … there was this tall bald Spanish waiter who was probably the rudest waiter I have ever had and spoke only Spanish around me which made me feel really isolated … then there was this other waiter who was maybe middle aged and I saw her take a tequila shot from behind the bar while on the job …. Also there was no toilet paper do be found in the back bathroom

26/08/2025: Oredered cake for my daughter, amazing decoration and delicious taste (fresh cream and strawberries) and yet price is so affordable. I wish they had more options for cake fillings.

06/08/2025: I ordered a cake for my husbands 40th birthday celebration, it was in a fabulous box and even came with candles, it tasted absolutely delicious and if we ever return to Dublin I will most definitely be ordering another cake! Thank you.

11/01/2026: I am writing to formally complain about an incident that occurred at your hotel when I was refused permission to use the restroom facilities. I am a licensed taxi driver.I approached your hotel politely after dropping your clients from the airport. I Requested to use the toilet Despite being respectful and explaining my situation, I was refused access. Denying basic access to restroom facilities places drivers in a very difficult and uncomfortable position. I was disappointed by the lack of consideration shown and believe this does not reflect well on a hotel that serves the public. I respectfully request that you review your policy regarding taxi drivers and consider a more humane and supportive approach in the future. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and ensure that such situations are handled more thoughtfully going forward.

I’m looking forward to popping in over the Lobster festival for my caffeine fix and the chance to pick up a great locally sourced gift for an upcoming birthday while I’m there.
