The best restaurants in Dublin

18/02/2025: Tuve una experiencia muy decepcionante. Mi pareja y yo habíamos reservado para una cena un sábado. Tuvimos un mal presentimiento cuando entramos y vimos cuántas mesas vacías había, especialmente teniendo en cuenta que era un fin de semana de rugby. Mientras que nuestro servidor brasileño era encantador, la comida era sosa y carecía de sabor y condimento. Dejamos la mayoría de nuestras comidas en el plato. El encantador servidor preguntó si todo estaba bien con la comida. Expresé que estaba muy decepcionado, considerando las excelentes críticas que habíamos leído en línea. El servidor nos informó que el chef envió sus disculpas desde la cocina. Nos persuadieron a quedarnos y tomar cafés y postre. El precio de los cafés se descontó de la factura. Pagamos nuestra factura, dimos propina a nuestro servidor encantador y nos fuimos. Basta decir que no volveremos. Hacia adelante, haré búsquedas más profundas de revisiones fuera de línea.

20/07/2025: This is such a lovely pub. Very clean. Bar staff are so kind and friendly. Mixed age groups goes here. Very lively at weekends with bands playing and music on the speaker. Affordable drinks. Great range of cocktails. Good for parties and having a good night out. The food does be lovely aswell. Highly recommend this pub to anyone. I definitely go here again.

10/07/2025: 10/10 experience, would definitely recommend. I came in early on a Thursday evening and was met with the whole place buzzing with a great atmosphere. The food and drink were absolutely delicious and the service super friendly, especially the waitress Kamila. She recommended and made me an absolutely amazing cocktail. Will definitely be back.

05/07/2025: Had tapas and drinks here last night and found it throughly mediocre in all aspects. The food was defiantly not worth returning for.

01/10/2025: Didn't like my Irish breakfast panino, covered in tomato relish (both sides of panino), white sausages (yuk!). In fairness probably was stupid enough to pick the wrong thing in an Italian restaurant.

06/09/2025: They took me to this little place because I wanted to try the Irish breakfast... Then I went back the next day 😆 The Eggs Benedict Royale were delicious, as was the ham version. Generous portions. Top-notch espresso 🔝.

09/10/2025: Food was fantastic, cooked to perfection, staff are friendly happy and helpful , cost is very very reasonable, my work takes me from pub to pub and carrolls is at the top. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

26/08/2025: Oredered cake for my daughter, amazing decoration and delicious taste (fresh cream and strawberries) and yet price is so affordable. I wish they had more options for cake fillings.

06/08/2025: I ordered a cake for my husbands 40th birthday celebration, it was in a fabulous box and even came with candles, it tasted absolutely delicious and if we ever return to Dublin I will most definitely be ordering another cake! Thank you.

28/09/2025: This establishment thr goblet is situated on malahide road. The food is average. The floor staff excellent. But you have to endure the torture of bar man with glasses in understand his name is sean. The swearing cursing fowl language from his mouth is disgusting. Im assuming he us use to using this language at home. But he might have respect for customers while they are eating. Guinness good here as a visitor from the US I'm pretty disappointed by the unnecessary swearing by this bar guy.

23/10/2025: Great, large, and delicious pizza! We had just arrived from the airport and were looking for something to eat – it was already 1:30 a.m. The hotel receptionist recommended this place, and it was definitely worth it. There’s only outdoor seating, but that was perfectly fine. I can definitely recommend this spot!

18/10/2025: I am very disappointed with my recent experience in the cafeteria. The staff were unprofessional and rude, and didn’t allow you to bring your own special item which made the visit unpleasant.

10/10/2025: A big disappointment! I have been visiting this venue for lunch/afternoon break for many years. It has been a few months since I was last here. I was disappointed to see that the menu format had changed. It is now a total mess designed to confuse and extract more money from its customers. I have always loved the excellent soups here, usually served with fabulous brown bread. Well seemingly now you can only have soup with a sandwich whether you want it or not. I queried this with one member of staff and was told that soup was only available with a sandwich. I asked for time to have a think about it. Shortly afterwards another staff member approached and I queried this again. This staff member told me of course I could have the soup with just brown bread. I ordered this and when it arrived it was up to the usual standard. When I eventually went to pay I was charged €17. For a bowl of soup with two slices of brown bread??? I queried this and was told that whether you ordered the sandwich with the soup or not it was still the same price. Absolute rip off. The guy on the till kindly reduced the price to the previous price but this was a once off. And it is definitely the last time I will visit Avoca Suffolk St. By the way you can still get soup and bread for this “reduced/normal” price in Avoca Co Wicklow and Rathcoole. Crazy system!!!

31/08/2025: I ordered a takeaway from Veda on the evening of Saturday 2 August as I have done several times before. However I woke up twice later that night and was violently sick with food poisoning. I suspect the problem was the rice which was very dry when I received it and felt like it had been sitting around for a while. In any event I spent the next 2 days in bed which included missing a day off work. I emailed Veda on Sunday 3 August with no reply and then again on Tuesday 5 August - again no response. I called the restaurant on Friday 8 August and explained what had happened and was told I would receive a call back. In the absence of a call I phoned again on Wednesday 13 August and was again told I would be contacted. Finally I called again on Saturday 16 Augusta and spoke to the manager who told me he had spoken to the owners. The manager did not apologise for my food poisoning and indeed suggested it may not have been caused by Veda. I explained this could not have been the case as Veda was the only meal I had eaten in the 12 hours before I became ill. I had requested a refund of my meal which cost circa €32 and was offered a voucher for €20. This appears to be the standard offer which I note from the previous review submitted by Eimear Kelly. Unfortunately I will not be returning to Veda - partially due to the horrific food poisoning but also due to the very poor customer service I received after I was ill.

19/08/2025: Went to Grumps for the first time, guided by Google Maps, but turns out the opening hours were completely wrong. Why would a business not update that info themselves, instead of waiting for a customer (or in this case, a wannabe customer) to do it for them?

03/10/2025: A real find, cosy, clean tastefully decorated. Staff could not have been more pleasant, found it hard to go back into the real world😔

02/09/2025: Located in Cabinteely village, nice family pub, well run, friendly staff and spacious. Great place to meet friends for a drink at weekends
