John's Bar & Haberdashery
Dublin
22/11/2025: Honest question - since when have you guys had a "no shorts" dress code? I came in looking to grab a quick burger, but was turned away by the doorman... New rules, or just newly enforced since I was a single guy and not with my girlfriend (like all the other times I've come in)?
20/10/2025: Went in for a bite to eat and the staff are absolutely amazing, just old school kindness and that goes a long way in this day and age

South American Shop
Dublin
19/01/2026: Man, I had a good feeling about the place before going, but the empanadas were even better than expected. My partner is from Argentina and she loved them so much that she ate mine and then fought off a seagull trying to steal the last one.
06/01/2026: Jorge served us. He was really cool and the service was excellent. We had empanadas; I don't know if they were spectacular, but when you live in Europe they seemed like heavenly food. They also sell yerba mate, mate gourds, alfajores, sweet potato/quince paste, and other small items. I recommend stopping by if you're in Dublin, and I thought the prices were very reasonable!

04/12/2025: Excellent food and Atmosphere. Always very enjoyable with attentive Staff..
27/10/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem in Foxrock Village
From the moment you walk through the door, you’re greeted with a warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming reception exactly what every great restaurant should have.
We were shown straight to our table and given plenty of time to look over the lunch/dinner menu, which had a fantastic selection of dishes, all very reasonably priced. This was my first visit to this restaurant in Foxrock Village, and I sincerely hope it won’t be my last.
I went for the goat’s cheese to start, followed by the roast beef for my main course, and finished with the apple crumble for dessert all perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The meal was beautifully complemented by a lovely bottle of red wine.
From the warm welcome to the attentive service and delicious food, everything was spot on. A solid 10 out of 10.

Beshoff Bros
Dublin
26/10/2025: Epic gluten free chipper onion rings and scampi. I mean epic.
26/10/2025: We decided to have a take away and return to the hotel. By the time we returned, the fish was still crisp and golden, the batter light, the chips thick and fluffy. Simple pleasures, impeccably done.

The Village Inn
Dublin
06/02/2026: Grand spot altogether. Staff were sound and on the ball, food was savage with good portions, and everything ran smooth. Toilets spotless, seating comfortable, and the atmosphere was great once it got going.
18/11/2025: Grand spot, was at niece's 21s
Plenty of seating.. lighting was poor, a lot of missing bulbs in area. . Toilets clean, place was cold, as door for smoking area. Food service was very good, good selection of food on platters. Also bar staff good and friendly, just a better selection of non alcoholic beverages would have been good....
Overall good spot... Second time been at this location. Downstairs before and good food, service ect .... Well done guys. Just parking could be looked at... As we were coming from outside area .. n required car ect .

The Yacht
Dublin
23/01/2026: This place has amazing décor, great food, and usually very good staff. Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing.
If you’re a local and have a dog, please don’t leave it tied up outside the pub for an hour in winter when temperatures are around 4°C. I politely asked the bar staff if they knew who the dog belonged to, out of concern for the animal, and was met with snappy and rude responses. If you want to bring a dog, please go to a dog-friendly pub.
13/01/2026: We usually come to Upper Deck at Christmas as their old world charm is beautiful at this time of year.
But food was ok. Chicken satay lacked the richness expected. Thw chicken itself was overcooked / tough and tasted chemically processed.
My meal was ok bit dry.
3rd meal of hake and shrimp was well received.
Deserts were lovely.. Probably will give it a miss next year.
Staff were lovely and attentive.

Dundrum House
Dublin
01/01/2026: The menu has gotten smaller in years, which would imply that simple things are done very well. The chicken curry was turkey meat, the burger was on the cold side and the chips seemed like they were scraped from the bottom of the pan. I think there's only one dessert option at nearly a tenner which is crazy. Understandably the cost of everything has gone up- but if kitchens keep cutting corners and use only the cheapest options, you're going to lose revenue in the long term. This is not just the DH, but across the entire industry.
11/12/2025: When the weather is dreich you need a proper pint in front of a proper fire. This pub delivered.

24/01/2026: Good Service! Very tasty and well done food. Roast chicken was tender, salad was fresh bisque was flavorful and crab croquettes were crispy. Lovely atmosphere! Id honestly have given them 5 stars but I try to save that for mind blowing food.

Hardy's Bar
Dublin
01/02/2026: The bathroom is extremely low standard for the price we paid for the hotel. With such a gorgeous interior of the hotel you would expect the bathroom to be of a higher standard. The shower head was like a drizzle of rain and was very outdated. The chairs in the room were very very dirty and it was extremely dusty. However, all staff were extremely kind and helpful and we enjoyed our stay it’s just the bathroom that made this review a 3 star.
29/01/2026: Beautiful hotel. The rooms are very spacious. Well located in a very quiet area. In my opinion, it needs maintenance; some areas look a bit neglected. Even so, it's a very good hotel to stay in.

19/10/2025: Like an old man's pub. Very Irish and local. Mens toilets are abit rank though
11/08/2025: Lovely Irish pub, with lots of kind and friendly locals, tons of little nooks, a spacious back patio and sneak access to a large
courtyard with a few tasty food trucks and a little hidden sauna. A fun find and great place for an afternoon out!

22/05/2025: Got an almond croissant, very stale and also burnt on one side. Not impressed. To be honest Other pastries and delicacies looked good and staff friendly. If I hadn't driven away before i tasted it, i would have returned it..
