The best restaurants in Dublin

03/01/2026: The receptionist wasn't very friendly and eyed us suspiciously. You can't open the window, and it's unclear why there's a jacuzzi in the bathroom—it doesn't work. The outlets are really bad—there's only one under the desk. Lighting is a separate issue—you have to hide under the nightstand to turn it off. Old-fashioned is nice, but in this case, it's overkill.

01/01/2026: I used to go here regularly after work or sometimes with my friend on a Saturday afternoon when I lived nearby. I always had the toasted panino with roasted aubergine, roasted pepper, melted mozzarella and pesto, my dream food. If I had only one meal in life I think I’d seriously consider this. The coffee was top class. I’m the hardest person to please when it comes to coffee so this is saying something. The lady who owns the caffe I remember was such a hard working lady, so passionate and down to earth. I’m going to make the trip this week to pop in. I can’t wait. Great to see small local cafe’s come out tops 👍

01/01/2026: Great expresso coffee. Appreciated the fairness of the price of a single shot expresso. Its was perfect served in a porcelan cup and very good quality. The croissants where very good, fresh and crunchy. The ambiance is relaxed and cosy and enjoyed the decor with paintings on the wall and a map of the Suppliers in an outstanding frame. It has our reccomendation. Well done to the owners and Er Buchetto team.

29/11/2025: I think this place is really cute! It has great tea selections I think I had this apple and peppermint last time and it was great. Desserts are good but I wouldn’t recommend the sandwiches so it’s better to go sweet! But the upstairs seating has such a chill vibe

17/11/2025: Good pub, would recommend for a quiet solo pint. Manager has gone very corporate lately. Like a 2010s DJ he used to be cool now he’s pandering to the masses. Do I like the guy? Yes I do. Am I happy with him at the moment? No I’m not. Am I the best looking guy in Rathgar? Yes I am.

29/03/2026: I would like to make a complaint about the service at Orchid Restaurant. Unfortunately, delivery drivers are often treated poorly there. In particular, there is an Asian staff member who usually hands over the orders in a very bad mood, does not greet drivers, and often does not even say good evening. Delivery drivers are an essential part of your service, because we are responsible for delivering your food safely and on time to your customers. We represent the final part of your business with the client, so mutual respect is very important. A simple polite attitude, basic courtesy, and respectful treatment make a big difference. I hope the restaurant can improve the way delivery drivers are treated in the future.

22/03/2026: Our first visit to the Orchid and it was truly outstanding . Service was faultless and the food superb .A league of their own

16/03/2026: I went last night because someone recommended it, and it was definitely a great choice. We tried several tapas, and everything was delicious, especially the croquettes and the escalivada, made with high-quality ingredients. The service was very friendly and attentive throughout the meal, and to finish, the chocolate truffles for dessert were spectacular. Definitely a highly recommended place. 🍷✨

28/02/2026: We went to eat at this place. We waited over an hour for ONE cannelloni, we asked for water and they didn't bring it. The waitresses walked right past us and didn't hear us when we called them. I asked the girl how much longer my food would take and she said 5 minutes, but another 20 minutes passed before they brought it. She just said sorry. And the place wasn't that crowded, so it shouldn't have taken that long or for them to ignore people like that.

24/03/2026: Bad Ass Cafe is a true Temple Bar institution since 1983! Great pizzas, burgers and hearty food, cold drinks, and fantastic live music every night. The vibrant, fun atmosphere with a lively crowd makes it perfect for a casual meal or night out right in the heart of the action. A must-visit Dublin classic! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

23/03/2026: Really nice local which offered us great views and entertainment during St.Patrick's Day. Everyone there was having the time of their life. One thing I would add, is I didn't appreciate the lady in the ladies bathroom, setting up shop and profiting from other people's misfortune. With no sanitary vending machines I was forced to pay 5 euros for 1 sanitary product.

24/03/2026: I’ve eaten a lot of pizza in my life, but nothing, absolutely nothing, like the one we had here. It was bold, unexpected, and honestly unforgettable. The combination of flavours shouldn’t work, yet somehow it does. A pizza topped with Doritos sounds like a crazy idea, but it turned out to be one of the most fun and delicious things I’ve ever tried. Crunchy, cheesy, a little bit wild, and completely addictive. And then there was the bruschetta. Served in a way I’d never seen before, with a twist that made it feel fresh and exciting. Every bite was full of flavour, perfectly balanced and beautifully prepared. Everything we tried was simply delicious. It’s the kind of place that surprises you in the best possible way — where you leave already planning your next visit.
