The best restaurants in Dublin

21/03/2026: Queued ages for fish and chips at Dún Laoghaire pier and it wasn’t worth it at all. Overburned panko fish, small portion, and tasted like ready fish you can get from Tesco. Chips with seaweed salt were overpowering and to salty. No fork, no bin — awkward to eat. €15 is a joke when proper fish and chips nearby cost only a bit more. Overrated, wouldn’t return.

21/03/2026: Sorry guys, but that was impossible to eat overfryed chips and fish. Honestly the worst experience, went to the bin. Location means a lot- you can sell bed quality food to the the tourists

17/10/2025: Good location, nice walk into town. The room was very clean and had everything I needed. The bed was a bit too hard for me, but that's a matter of opinion. The price was also good; if I had booked two weeks in advance, it would have been even better 😁. I highly recommend it. We didn't take any food with us because I wanted to enjoy different coffee shops and their offerings.

15/10/2025: A good hotel. Breakfast is standard, but there aren't many options for non-meat eaters. I recommend choosing rooms away from the street. The hotel is outside the city center but close to the Google offices. If that's your destination, I recommend The Foundry, practically around the corner.

23/07/2025: I have been going to this restaurant/wine bar since it opened. It has gotten better and better. The menu is always exceptional and ever changing. Its perfect for foodies, but the menu isn't pretentious and has so many gastro delights, it really is for everyone. The Staff are so nice and the music is perfect. However, I do agree with the other reviews that the pricing is a little higher, particularly on the entrees.

14/07/2025: The food is excellent. This restaurant is worthy of a gourmet restaurant. The waitresses were very patient despite our hesitations. While in Dublin, I hope to return to this establishment one day. Delicious desserts!!!

25/12/2025: Staff were really poor, seemingly more interested in chatting to each other than taking notice of customers. I was even charged for someone else's round in error. Service was painfully slow

13/03/2026: Stopped in for an early lunch while waiting to catch a train. Bar staff were attentive and friendly. Food was served quickly and came out piping hot. I ordered the bangers & mash and it was absolutely delicious. Couldn’t have picked a better dish.

09/09/2025: I googled this location on the maps, just to eat and have a beer. The waitress told me that no food is served here, despite it's on the menu on Google Maps. She was also not friendly at all. So I just left.

17/10/2025: I used to staying with the owner Valerie when I did my Leaving Certificate a decade ago in Ireland. When I knew she's now owning a cafe, I came here to taste the food. I love the Chatty Fox Special, great taste of bacon on toast and latte. I love the chocolate brownie! 🤤 I'd recommend to my friends that whenever they visit Dublin, this is a place you must visit! 08/10/2025: Nice cafe full of locals, which is always a good sign. They do a good full Irish and the staff are friendly and helpful. It's a lot bigger than it looks, but any time I've been in there were enough people there to give the place a bit of a buzz and a good atmosphere.

02/10/2025: Deja Brew has really stepped up their game! The açaí bowls have improved immensely — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully done. The coffee is always spot on and consistent, which keeps me coming back. Staff are super friendly, and they even gave my dog Lola a little cup of cream that kept her busy while I enjoyed my bowl. A great local café with great vibes!

My only issue is the service.. the lads take one persons order at a time (even if you order one Americano … they will take payment and make the Americano start to finish before speaking to the next person) it slows things down a lot when the next person in line may also just like one coffee.

10/11/2025: From the moment of booking, EVERYTHING with our Haddington House experience was flawless. Ayesha and Sinead were fabulous with the pre-arrival plans. And going out of their way to make our stay really memorable. When we arrived, Flako, Elena and a lady manager (owner?) were so welcoming, professional, warm and generally - fabulous☺️ Our room was exceptional. With SO many lovely, lovely touches. The quality of the decor, fixtures and fittings is just next level. Not to even mention that view☺️ The food, and especially the breakfast, and the breakfast team, were of the absolute highest quality. Generally our stay in the Haddington House exceeded any possible expectations and delivered an exceptional experience. 10/5

22/03/2026: This place was recommended to us by chat gpt as great local Irish food. Their website looks attractive with modern balanced dishes. We had a lunch there on Sunday, very limited menu with mostly unhealthy options. Little vegetables, I asked for a plane leaf salad with tomatoes for kids which they didn’t have and couldn’t make… white sweetened buns for burgers with fries, and vegetable nachos for me. I couldn’t eat nachos as they were all stocked together. Attaching the picture. Not coming back for sure

22/03/2026: We had a great time at The Woollen Mill and overall it was a really enjoyable experience. The food was excellent, everything we ordered was very tasty and well prepared, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. The staff were friendly and the whole place had a really nice buzz about it. The only downside was that the table we were sitting at wasn’t very comfortable. Also, we wouldn’t really recommend sitting outside unless the weather is unusually good! Ireland is just too cold most of the time to properly enjoy outdoor seating. Also would expect Guinness to be served. But overall, we had a great experience, really enjoyed the food, and would definitely come back.
