11/08/2025: Lovely Irish pub, with lots of kind and friendly locals, tons of little nooks, a spacious back patio and sneak access to a large courtyard with a few tasty food trucks and a little hidden sauna. A fun find and great place for an afternoon out!

18/08/2025: This is a brilliant spot for a few quiet pints. Locals in watching football. Across the road is the younger crowd. Lovely pint golf guinness and gentleman of a barman. Proper old school

06/09/2025: What kind of Thai takeaway doesn’t have chicken? Ordered 4 spice bags for collection on the website but they “ran out of chicken” so it defaulted to tofu in a very non-obvious, unclear way. Refused to try and fix the situation because we technically ordered the wrong thing

05/11/2025: Visited this local restaurant for a special occasion but it was a disappointing experience for our party. One of our servers, to perhaps prove her apathy, was chewing gum. The restaurant was not overly busy so there was no pressure on the staff but at one point she slammed a bottle of water on the table so hard that one of us jumped. It did not register with her at all. In relation to the food there were a few issues but the main one was with the fish (hake), listed as lightly breaded. Instead, it was mostly batter with very little fish and it cost almost €30! If we had wanted Donegal Catch we could have gone to Tesco. Overall our group felt like The Temple Grill really just couldn't care less.

18/02/2025: Tuve una experiencia muy decepcionante. Mi pareja y yo habíamos reservado para una cena un sábado. Tuvimos un mal presentimiento cuando entramos y vimos cuántas mesas vacías había, especialmente teniendo en cuenta que era un fin de semana de rugby. Mientras que nuestro servidor brasileño era encantador, la comida era sosa y carecía de sabor y condimento. Dejamos la mayoría de nuestras comidas en el plato. El encantador servidor preguntó si todo estaba bien con la comida. Expresé que estaba muy decepcionado, considerando las excelentes críticas que habíamos leído en línea. El servidor nos informó que el chef envió sus disculpas desde la cocina. Nos persuadieron a quedarnos y tomar cafés y postre. El precio de los cafés se descontó de la factura. Pagamos nuestra factura, dimos propina a nuestro servidor encantador y nos fuimos. Basta decir que no volveremos. Hacia adelante, haré búsquedas más profundas de revisiones fuera de línea.

14/06/2025: This used to be a great restaurant. Sadly, it’s now closed. A new place with different owners has taken over the location—it's called Koi Palace.

28/05/2025: Was there for dinner with my son @7pm on a Saturday. Lovely cute place with nice decor. The portions were sizeable and delicious. The staff were both attentive & professional. I would definitely recommend 👌

10/11/2025: I was at The Vanilla Pod today with 2 friends and unfortunately had to leave before them. I paid at the till for whatever I ate and left. My friends stayed for a little while longer and then when they asked about the bill, the staff tried to charge them again for what I had already paid, and included something that none of us ordered. The staff were extremely rude and accused my friends of scamming by not paying for the food that I had already paid for. I couldn’t believe when one of my friends called me telling what happened to them and the way they were treated. I wish I could go back and call the Guards because no one should be treated that way. It was horrible, and my friends left the place embarrassed and ashamed. The staff shouted at them and accused them of being thieves in front of all the other customers.

25/09/2025: Fantastic meal options and a great restaurant. Poached eggs are excellent. I had smashed avocado toast. I could not finish it! It is in a fantastic location and is more than filling! I adore the village of Blackrock.

26/10/2025: Always enjoy to go there for the food and coffee....it's much more stuff you can buy there buy there obviously, lots of variety, usually vintage stuff

19/10/2025: Doesn't have the heart that it used to, it's pretty sparse and quite expensive. The food options are amazing, but as a market there's only a few stalls that are worth the visit, you're better off going to the charity shops nearby for a bargain & interesting items.

18/11/2025: The only thing the has the air a conditioner on and it is November. It is not nice to sit down to ha a nice coffee with the cold air on your head at this time if the year.

10/10/2025: I visited Bunsen Blanchardstown on Friday evening (October 10th), and despite the place being incredibly busy with people constantly queuing, the experience was fantastic thanks to the amazing girls working on the floor. There were only three staff members managing all the tables and service, yet they went above and beyond to make sure every customer was looked after. They were constantly on the move, multitasking minute after minute, all while staying friendly, calm, and professional. The food was, as always, top quality fresh, delicious, and perfectly cooked. A special shoutout to the girl working Friday evening, dark hair in two braids, wearing a North Face T-shirt, she was an absolute Wonder Woman, absolutely incredible! So kind, attentive, and hardworking. She truly deserves recognition for how well she handled the chaos. But let’s be clear, the owners and upper management should be ashamed. Having only three staff on the floor and three in the kitchen for such a busy location is completely unacceptable. The fact that these workers are forced to carry the entire operation while management sits back and lets it happen is disgraceful. Bunsen has built a great name for its food and service, but that reputation doesn’t come from the owners, it comes from the incredible frontline staff who are being stretched to their limits. These girls aren’t just doing their jobs; they’re saving your brand every single shift.
