The best restaurants in Dublin

20/05/2026: Gem 💎. We discovered this place as we're looking to park the car for going on holidays. Dropped of car and got courtesy bus to airport. Easy access to departures and on return super easy collection at park 16 for coaches . The hotel itself is very comfortable, has everything you'd need.we stayed here after getting off late flight . We actually got bumped up to an apartment so had choice of bedrooms and kitchen plus 2bathrooms. Huge space with super views over airport.We stayed for lunch next day in the comfortable bar/lounge/ restaurant. Food was really nice great selection. Overall the most memorable part of our time using their facilities is the staff and absolute care and generous care they gave us when we rang back from holidays and needed our car checked. They went out of their way to contact us and complete our need. The car was parked underground for €12 a day, courtesy coach to and from the airport and then to stay over night was €241 in total. Great way to finish a lovely relaxing holiday. Totally recommend using the facilities and staying at The Metro & Apartments.

19/05/2026: Wonderful staff! Clean rooms. Closes to the bus to get to City Centre. Airport shuttle made getting out of the airport very easy! Great place to stay!

15/12/2025: We had a breakfast here for two days (Saturday and Sunday). Both days we really enjoyed the view. What surprised me is that both days I ordered the same, but I liked the sandwich as well as the hot chocolate more the first day. The second day I was a bit disappointed, it wasn’t the same. Even though, really nice staff and a lovely place to enjoy your meal. Santa sandwich for 9€ and hot chocolate for 4€.

10/12/2025: It's delicious, I was there for breakfast, there were not many visitors, but it's very atmospheric and cozy.

05/04/2026: Fast delivery, Food used to be really tasty. but the last couple of times it hasn’t been great, you can tell the food is fresh but there’s no flavour to it, the likes of the curry sauce, spice bags, 3 and 4 in 1’s have little to no flavour. Food needs some work. Would be sad to see this place go down hill over very fixable issues.

19/05/2026: A string on minor inconveniences total inadequate training for staff. 1. Our room key didn’t work the second night (we had asked that we stay in the same room we were assigned from our tour) 2. We asked for more toilet paper, after an hour and half a second call to the front desk was made, only to be told that housekeeping didn’t answer the phone when they called originally. 3. I asked for a thinner (lighter) blanket as the one on the bed was way too big/heavy/hot. Housekeeping didn’t not understand, brought us robes and milk… ???? Then brought us a towel, then brought us a sheet. I called the front desk again because the gentleman trying to help from housekeeping clearly did not understand what I was asking for. And I was then told that there were no lighter blankets. Fyi, I saw a housekeeper changing linens from another room that clearly had a light knitted throw blanket being taken out. 4. When checking out I asked to have a postcard mailed out, he proceeded to read it… (i asked if they sold stamps and had been told the day before that they would send it out for me). While I was there, the phone rang and the gentleman answered it. We had to catch the Cab that was waiting outside so I didn’t have time to wait for him to finish on the phone to complete our conversation. I only hope that it actually got mailed. Also, the room we were in 530, needs some repair. There was mold growing in the shower under the counter. The grout for the tile on the floor needs to be replaced/refilled. The tiles are sharp on the feet. Other items to note when rooms are being prepared for incoming guests. The breakfast card for in room dining had already been filled out. One of the water bottles had been opened. Attention to detail is important.

02/06/2026: Fabulous! We had our wedding here and it couldn't have gone better. Every single member of staff was exceptional from Laura who coordinated the event to the bar staff, reception, the cleaning staff who gave my little nephew cookies on the house and Pierre who gave my partner a shirt coz he forgot his 🤦🏼‍♀️ Just an overall lovely experience, we were made feel so special. Would highly recommend The Dylan for a wedding x

11/01/2026: My experience is in relation to Avoca, not this store specifically. I ordered a Christmas hamper online and it never arrived. I have emailed three times, tried chat support, and tried calling multiple times and left a voicemail with head office explaining the situation and asking them to ring me. No one has responded to me and it is now 3 weeks since my order (I paid extra for 1-2 day delivery).

29/12/2025: Avoca restaurant has changed a lot since changing ownership. The menu is very disappointing. The food we ordered was just ok. Limp Caesar salad was the lowlight along with seafood spice bag. Would not recommend. Even the tea and coffee’s were disappointing. Will not be returning.

05/05/2026: Easily the worst burger I have ever eaten, though I could not stomach to finish it. Typical tourist trap with overpriced, low-quality food. Avoid this place if any in the temple bar area.

20/05/2025: Second time having my son’s birthday here, unfortunately I won’t be booking again. The man at reception was so lovely and helpful! But after that it went down hill, the party “host” was on his phone leaning against the wall while kids played bubble football for the full 45 mins. The only time he lifted his head off his phone was to help a child that called him to help with the bubble. I went back into the man In reception and asked was the hosting to do any games with the kids, after this he went out to talk to him . After that the “host” took all the lads to the party room, came back with food and then left. The staff in the bar and the man in reception were so lovely and helpful, but the party “host” had no interest to be there, let alone the party host. Please give the kids that are there for a party, your time and attention.

06/05/2026: Excellent experience at Nando’s Liffey Valley 🔥🍗 This is easily one of the best-managed Nando’s locations we’ve visited in the Dublin area. From the moment we walked in, everything felt clean, organized, and welcoming — a restaurant that clearly takes pride in both its food and customer experience. The meal was fantastic. The PERi-PERi hot wings were full of bold flavor with just the right kick, and paired perfectly with the wide selection of sauces on the table, letting everyone customize their meal to their liking. The spicy rice was flavorful and well-seasoned, the garlic bread was warm and delicious, and the mac & cheese was rich, creamy, and comforting — a perfect side to round out the meal. What stood out just as much as the food was the service. The staff were courteous, friendly, and genuinely attentive, making sure everything was right and that guests were well looked after. That kind of hospitality always elevates the experience. The restaurant itself is spotless, with convenient in-house restrooms and a location that’s easy to access right near the entrance of Liffey Valley, with coffee shops and other stops nearby — making it a great place to enjoy a meal and continue your outing afterward. 03/05/2026: We went as a family of 4 along with 2 kids for a dinner during weekday, no wait time..food was awesome, nice atmosphere and service.my kids love Nandos food.

12/11/2025: Came into the city to specifically try this place . I would describe it as average . The food was ok , portions not huge , Weather its value for money im not sure. The description of fresh pork and fresh beef is a bit of a stretch. Its tasty but id be surprised if its cooked fresh every day , that said i could be wrong . No real complaints , if you were walking past it might be worth popping in but for me its not a return destination . The Bakery part of the establishment doesnt overly impress by presentation or impression of freshly baked goods but the blueberry muffin we bought was delicious and extremely fresh tasting , if i thought the other produce tasted as good i would have bought more, its mostly in pre packed in bags so it didnt look appealing but the muffin was excellent. We were the only ones there so wouldn't judge the atmosphere . The welcome was functional rather than friendly. Asked to take some of the meal home as we didn't finish it , provided with a plastic bag . As it contained a lot of sauce I understand a box wouldn't work but in our local Japanese restaurant charging similar prices for far superior food , they put it in a plastic bowl . I think there is a gap in the market for Filipino restaurant/ diner but this place at its current location , charging what it does , I don't think will last . They'd be better off selling it as fast food out of a mobile unit at pop up locations .

14/12/2025: Was there last night for there Xmas show. The Born Identity,Abba tribute, and Dame Scruffy great night band were excellent, drag artist was also super.

07/12/2025: I hosted my baby shower at Red Cow inn and it was fantastic! The space was beautiful, comfortable, and exactly what I needed to make the day special. Even though I set up everything myself, the venue made it easy and stress free. I would definitely recommend it for anyone planning a celebration! With booking they were very informative and got back to me quickly, i cant recommend them more!
