19/05/2025: My favorite pub in Blackrock, some days it can get a bit packed and clouds but in general it's amazing.

11/05/2025: Good restaurant, the atmosphere is nice and the food is good for a fair price. Friday evening was sold out but we were put on a waiting list and called back 25 minutes later. The nachos to share were very good, the pizza and burger were good too. Good value for money. The restaurant closed on Mondays unless there is a concert because it is located opposite the 3arena concert hall. It's very noisy.

18/05/2025: I came here for a family members birthday party so there was quite a lot of us. The view, amazing. I got the special of the day which was pasta with a creamy sort of sauce with bits of meat. It was quite good but a bit skimpy on the meat.

05/05/2025: Went to celebrate a friend's Birthday this weekend. Our waiter was SO rude. I actually don't have words. We did not feel welcome. Instead it felt like they just wanted us out of there. I could see how other people were treated with kindness and friendliness however from the get go our table was treated with disrespect and rudeness by the waiter and manager. It's a shame because it's such a nice spot. Might as well have visited Karen's Diner. Disappointed.

06/06/2025: We came to the restaurant after reading a great review and it definitely lived up to the expectations! We started with two delicious soups — I had the fish soup and my wife had the pumpkin soup, both very tasty and warming. For the main course, I had the Liberties Gate Beef Burger and my wife chose the Buttermilk Chicken Burger — both were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. A wonderful dining experience overall — highly recommended!

02/06/2025: I visited this restaurant-bar this evening and was absolutely delighted! The food was delicious — everything was fresh and beautifully presented. The portions were generous, and I definitely didn’t leave hungry! The service was excellent — the staff were polite, attentive, and everything was brought out quickly without any long wait. I was also really impressed with the atmosphere — clean, cozy, and tidy. You can tell they really care about their guests. I’ll definitely be coming back and will gladly recommend this place to my friends. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

15/04/2025: If you love coffee (expresso) this is the best place! They have also a variety of sweet treats and lovely sandwiches which they can make them hot. The place is loveley and the staff we met was very nice and helpful I really recommend this for a short stop by!!

03/06/2025: Comida mediocre, servicio confuso y sin atención al detalle. Decidir traer un grupo de socios de negocios visitantes a The Black Lion para el almuerzo fue una elección decepcionante de mi parte. Después de haber intentado durante una semana conectarme a través del número de teléfono proporcionado en la página web para reservar una mesa, sin éxito, visité el establecimiento el lunes festivo en lugar de reservar en persona. Una joven de turno me dio un bajito, me sonrió y me aconsejó que “simplemente apareciera” y tomara una mesa. Llegué temprano el lunes y fui menos recibido por un miembro del personal, más al lado - mirando por ellos. Se dejaron caer pintas de agua a la mesa junto con un montón de cubiertos que se dejaron caer entre los comensales para desenredar y compartir... La comida no era fresca... los especiales eran sobras de un banco - servicio de vacaciones con una salsa estancada y grumosa vertida sobre un montículo de verduras reconstruidas - hervidas, cubiertas y una “ternera cocinada lentamente” que muy probablemente era lenta - cocinado el sábado, calentado el domingo, recalentado el lunes y golpeado de nuevo a un plato el martes. El servidor luchó para entender las solicitudes y se encontró en el servicio sub-estándar. No sabía que el equipo de cocina profesional se había movido al volante local desde la última vez que estuve en El León Negro para almorzar. No repetir y definitivamente no se recomienda.

22/05/2025: Best hotel in Dublin!! I had a nice room with a view on the river on my request. The staff is super friendly and nice. My room was just a bit small for the price but I guess it is Dublin everything is so expensive in this town. And I had a king size bed. And the location is amazing in the center close to temple bar district but just one minute away so we escape the noise. And I loved the nice lobby and bar to have a last drink and relax before bed after being busy tourism all day. 😁

21/05/2025: It was okay, but we wouldn't come again - luckily we only went to the bathroom after eating...

11/05/2025: We ordered a full irish, soup with soda bread, and a tiki burger with no ketchup and a toasted cheese plain (only cheese) the soup was reheated, the full irish beans were cold food was reheated and still lukewarm the toasted cheese had onions! and the tiki burger with ketchup also was waiting on toast and gave us the wrong drink terrible service would not reccomend. The excuse for the toasted cheese? "That was my fault i left onions on the board" very rude manager and establishment was unsanitary could be very bad if you have allergies would not go there if it was my last chance to live do not go.
