The best restaurants in Dublin

05/10/2025: Ryleigh’s Rooftop is an experience worth savoring. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the tomahawk ribeye – truly something out of this world, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. As starters, we tried the prawns and the carpaccio. While I can’t personally review the prawns due to an allergy, my friends described them as absolutely delicious. The carpaccio, on the other hand, was a real standout for me: well balanced, with the roasted capers adding a beautiful contrast to the freshness of the green sauce. Yes, it is on the pricier side, but between the quality of the dishes, the incredible rooftop views, and the attentive, personalized service, it’s money well spent. The only reason I’d give 4 stars for the atmosphere is that it was a little on the busy side, but honestly, don’t let that put you off. Ryleigh’s remains a fantastic choice for a memorable evening.

24/09/2025: My recent visit to Ananda left my taste buds dancing with joy, yet the experience was tinged with a sense of dissatisfaction due to an unexpected service charge. Let me delve into the delightful culinary journey and the less savory aspect of my dining experience. The food at Ananda was nothing short of amazing. We indulged in a spread that included their heavenly kofta, rich Daal Makahani, and fragrant biryani. Each dish was a symphony of flavors, perfectly balanced and expertly crafted. The kofta, with its melt-in-your-mouth texture and savory sauce, was a standout. The Daal Makahani had a comforting, creamy richness that paired flawlessly with fluffy naan. And the biryani, with its aromatic spices and tender meat, was a celebration of traditional Indian cuisine. However, the joy of the meal was overshadowed by the restaurant's decision to impose a 13% service fee. It seemed unjustified to charge such a fee without offering a commensurate level of service. In contrast, I've dined at Michelin-starred restaurants like Rasam in Dublin, where such forced or guilt-driven charges are noticeably absent, allowing the focus to remain solely on the culinary experience.

21/10/2025: Great spot for a GREAT burger. Chips cost extra, but after you've gotten through the burger there really is no need for chips. We share one portion between two of us and half went uneaten.

20/10/2025: Highly recommended, the waiter who served us was super nice, the food was very good and reasonably priced, the only thing is that an orange Fanta was €5, but oh well... Otherwise it was very good, good burgers

15/10/2025: The hotel the day this restaurant is in is beautiful. The restaurant itself wasn’t fancy but felt very approachable and welcoming. The food was great and I loved that they had a Slovakian tasting menu. We didn’t have it but my husband did have the potato dish from that menu and it was excellent. The pork chop that I had was delicious! The staff was so kind and attentive. The wine was really delicious. Great start to our Dublin vacation.

01/10/2025: The ambience of the Merrion hotel was exceptional. The restaurant was lovely with good food and the chef was excellent. The thing that let it down is the service. Not great for a uptown restaurant

01/11/2025: Had Momos, chicken curry and rice. Momos didn’t feel fresh and overall the food was very average, not enough quantity of chicken pieces and too pricey.

01/11/2025: A busy restaurant with the most amazing wine menu. Delicuous food well presented and a waiting staff who displayed the ring amount of attentiveness. We were a party of 6, so a service charge was applied, well earned. Will definitely revisit.

18/10/2025: We ate here last night 3 out the 4 meals were wrong and had to be returned ,,, They removed the dressing ,sauces and deep fried the chicken again which was over cooked , also a simple fish dish came.out and wrong chicken..

30/10/2025: My dad bought me a coffee here the day I quit my job, I was a little flustered and forgot how to order a coffee. Lisa was like an apparition - so kind and open and lovely and grounding. What a dreamy place 💖

03/10/2025: We stayed in Dublin for four days, and we came here for breakfast/lunch every day. It's a charming and centric place with very dedicated staff, especially the waitress Nerea, who gave us recommendations and was super friendly. What's more, my partner is gluten-free and vegetarian, and they had gluten-free options for all the crepes/pancakes and quite a few vegetarian options. We loved it and will definitely be back!

22/09/2025: Never left a review before; this place inspired me. Advertises itself as a gluten-free breakfast cafe but has nothing gluten free on the menu. The only thing they could offer was a €7 crepe. Except when I went to pay it had a €2.50 surcharge for being gluten free that they didn't advise in advance. €9.50 for one pancake with jif lemon and some sugar. The tin hat was the €3.80 cup of black coffee I didn't even finish because it was more bitter than this review must sound. Will never darken the door again and, my advice, you shouldn't either.
