The best restaurants in Dublin

29/07/2026: We had an amazing experience at Café en Seine in Dublin! We walked in for lunch with our two kids and were immediately impressed by the beautiful atmosphere and the warm welcome from the staff. They were friendly, attentive, and made us feel very comfortable as a family. We ordered the Double Burger with a brioche bun, Dubliner Cheddar, Lyonnaise onion, pickles, burger sauce, lettuce, and fries. It was absolutely delicious—fresh, full of flavor, and cooked perfectly. Our daughter ordered from the kids’ menu: chicken breast with gravy and fries, and she loved it. The kids’ menu also included a dessert, and she chose the ice cream, which was the perfect way to finish her meal. We sat outside and had a wonderful time enjoying our lunch. The restaurant was clean, the bathrooms were spotless, and the food arrived quickly, which was especially appreciated when dining with children. Café en Seine is a beautiful place to enjoy great food in a unique setting. We highly recommend it for families and anyone visiting Dublin who is looking for delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, and a memorable dining experience. We would definitely come back!

28/07/2026: Beautiful restaurant great staff unfortunately the food was terrible we were there Sunday with a big party food was soggy chicken looked liked it came from an air fryer chicken cedar salad the worst, have eaten there several times before fabulous, 5 people left their food behind every dish was soggy genuine review

28/07/2026: Very friendly and quick service – a glance was all it took! The restaurant is small, so reservations are absolutely necessary (well in advance). Now for the food: the vitello tonnato was simply perfect, as were the meatballs. The daily pasta dish was simply perfect. You can tell how much finesse goes into the dishes (the restaurant is popular for a reason). The pasta dishes with shrimp and ragu were also good, but didn't quite reach the level of the daily special. There's a large selection of wines, although we missed having a few non-alcoholic options. The focaccia and sourdough bread were unfortunately only average, and I would have liked the ladyfingers in the tiramisu to have been soaked in a stronger espresso and some pistachios sprinkled over the top. That would have perfected the tiramisu, as the cream had the perfect sweetness. Overall, the restaurant is definitely recommended.

26/07/2026: Tried to come here - they told us 20 minutes for an inside table. We sat outside and again said to our waiter we just want to confirm inside in 20 minutes. He said he would confirm. It then started raining so we went inside and asked again about a table in 20 minutes. They said that was and never would have been possible and got defensive/made excuses that they had never said that. I’m 7 months pregnant and we would not have sat outside and wasted time had we known that was the case. We would have gone somewhere else. We understand you can’t always get in as a walk in but clarity would have helped here so we could have gone somewhere else before things closed.

10/06/2026: The service was excellent and the staff were incredibly welcoming. Drinks are very fairly priced, which is a rare find in Dublin. We loved the traditional Irish music—it is absolutely perfect for tourists looking for an authentic vibe. Highly recommend! 10/10

04/11/2025: Beautiful place, it truly embodies the Irish spirit, with plenty of space and floors to share with friends, partners, and family. It has a wonderful bar with live music for dancing and enjoying yourself—highly recommended.

04/08/2026: Our first visit to Sprout & Co was absolutely fantastic. We had never been before, so when we mentioned to the lovely member of staff that we were still deciding what to order, she was incredibly patient, friendly and helpful. She took the time to explain the menu and recommended adding the potatoes as a side, saying they were one of the most popular items. She couldn’t have been more right! My husband chose the Chilli Peanut salad bowl, I had the Tokyo bowl, and we shared the potatoes. Everything was fresh, full of flavour and absolutely delicious. The potatoes were a real highlight—we were hoping to recreate them at home! We enjoyed it so much that we even bought the Sprout & Co recipe book after leaving. We’re not sure whether we’ll be able to get the sauces in England, but we’re definitely going to try making some of the recipes. Sadly, the potato recipe wasn’t included! We noticed there are a few Sprout & Co locations, but the team at this branch really stood out for their excellent customer service. Friendly staff, healthy, flavour-packed food and a brilliant first experience. We’d happily come back again for lunch whenever we’re in Dublin. Highly recommended!

15/07/2026: We had a terrific steak dinner here. We enjoyed Tomahawk Tuesday! The cocktails were great and the wine selection was very good. Service was also very good even though we were seated in the upstairs portion of the restaurant and we were the only customers there until almost the end of our meal.

21/07/2026: A lovely Vietnamese restaurant tucked out just of Dame Street with a truly impressive menu in terms of options. The people there were lovely and welcoming and it made for a very pleasant evening out.

20/07/2026: Delicious, authentic pho, quick service, and excellent Vietnamese green tea. Vietnamese customers kept coming in for pho throughout my visit, which says a lot. A great place for a comforting meal.
