24/01/2026: There was an amazing atmosphere. We went there for my friend’s birthday and Andrianna gave us the best service. She was lovely and also helped us with the birthday surprise.

24/01/2026: The food was nice, and the restaurant, cute. The service, was quite rude. The made us pay 10% tip (17,50 euros), which said: voluntary, but was not. We asked, and the answer was: is a typical practice here, if you don't like it, you can choose another kind of restaurant, McDonald's. The answer was quite unfortunate, because everything went well until that moment, quite a pitty.

06/02/2026: Fantastic day. From the very first conversation, The Anglers Rest made us feel looked after. The planning and communication were excellent. Always checking details, always one step ahead, and totally reassuring throughout. On the day, the atmosphere was electric, the food was top class, and the staff brought such great energy. Nearly every guest told us how brilliant it was. Special mention to Aggeta... absolutely fabulous. Thank you for helping make our wedding day so memorable. Go raibh míle maith agat Sharon and Jason

13/01/2026: This donut was STACKED. It was nutella filled and to be honest.. With how much Nutella was in there.. I'm surprised they're making money on these donuts. I've never had a more filled donut before and if you look at my reviews, I eat a lot of donuts. They were constantly pumping out more donuts into the afternoon and the service was very quick and friendly. Considering where they are located, it could easily just be a tourist trap serving crappy donuts. This is the exact opposite - an amazing donut shop with a wide array of options!

25/10/2025: I didn't eat anything, so it's hard to comment, but the place has a true Irish feel. The bartender is wonderful and helpful. The individual booths and local people are just what I was looking for in Dublin :)

03/10/2025: We stayed in Dublin for four days, and we came here for breakfast/lunch every day. It's a charming and centric place with very dedicated staff, especially the waitress Nerea, who gave us recommendations and was super friendly. What's more, my partner is gluten-free and vegetarian, and they had gluten-free options for all the crepes/pancakes and quite a few vegetarian options. We loved it and will definitely be back!

22/09/2025: Never left a review before; this place inspired me. Advertises itself as a gluten-free breakfast cafe but has nothing gluten free on the menu. The only thing they could offer was a €7 crepe. Except when I went to pay it had a €2.50 surcharge for being gluten free that they didn't advise in advance. €9.50 for one pancake with jif lemon and some sugar. The tin hat was the €3.80 cup of black coffee I didn't even finish because it was more bitter than this review must sound. Will never darken the door again and, my advice, you shouldn't either.

09/10/2025: Popped in yesterday for a coffee after an event in the Rds, ordered but than realised I only had cash and it was card only.The lady at the till replied that’s okay just do something nice for someone.We left the cash on the counter and said do with that as you please ,such a kind interaction.Food was fantastic and so was the coffee very quick and amazing service. Thank you guys !

06/10/2025: I am visiting Dublin for a few days but the experiences I had here made me want to move here. I came here on a very busy Sunday and even though this place was packed to the gills everyone that worked there was so kind and polite. They were quick and efficient. The coffee was so good that I came back the next day. It was considerably less busy on a late Monday morning. I was able to sit outside and enjoy my delicious breakfast and coffee. The flat white was amazing. These people know how to make a good cup of coffee. The woman with the curly hair and bubbly personality made me feel so welcome. She even remembered my name when I left. Wish I could stay longer and become a regular. Come here and you will not be disappointed.

06/01/2026: They have done a good job for outdoor drinking, it's great. I've considered this place my local for the last 40 years. We have just been back again for a party, the food and service was excellent. And then we just went back for their carvery, the food was great.

25/01/2026: Everything going well..we were handed our menús..& no pizzas...we asked if there was a new separate pizza menu after the Christmas break re opening..but we were told they are not making pizza anymore! This is like a jewellers saying they don't do gold anymore. A shock..as the pizza was excellent & very complimentary to the Michelin Bib Gourmand worthy rest of the menu. A great loss for the Haddington. Nicolas

25/01/2026: The staff really friendly, bedroom and the facilities first rate, breakfast buffet was wonderful. Honestly no negative comments and I'm a complainer.

25/01/2026: Had a lovely Saturday night stay and really have to complement the staff, so friendly and efficient. The hotel was really busy but staff still had time to say hello and greet you from the moment you entered the hotel to maids on the corridors . Rooms were perfect everything you could want in them. Breakfast has a fantastic choice of food couldn't fault it at all. Will definitely return to the Gresham again.

02/11/2025: Unpleasant experience last night at La Gordita for my birthday. We arrived on time and were seated at the bar. The staff were chatting with the two couples next to us, explaining the menu and taking their drinks orders. By the time our waiter came over, their food was already arriving. No one explained the menu to us, and the waiter seemed a bit sniffy when we ordered a cheap bottle of wine. The food itself was average. The crab salad was a highlight, but the garlic in the prawns was burnt and the Spanish omelette wasn’t a proper tortilla it was just a flat omelette topped with slices of potato and chorizo. Generally boring flavours and small portions. Staff checked in with the tables around us as they got their food - but not with us. After finishing the tapas we’d ordered, we were still hungry. When the waiter asked if we’d had enough and we said no, he just handed us the dessert menu and said “great.” We ended up leaving after about an hour - no dessert - and felt like just getting our coats back was asking too much. Not sure if it was because we looked young or like tourists, but the service felt frosty and unwelcoming. The host did check in once and the lady who took over the bill was nice, but overall the experience was disappointing. Wouldn’t recommend this place for a special occasion. I’d be really annoyed if I’d booked it expecting a treat based on the Michelin guide. We spent €140 on five tapas dishes, were largely ignored and left hungry. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.
