The best restaurants in Dublin

19/05/2026: This place was great, I had read that it might be a little bit touristy but it sure didn’t feel that way. We got there about a half an hour before they started serving food and the bartender. Let us know that. We had a pint while we were waiting, and it was served absolutely perfectly in our bartender with a real professional, you could tell that he really cared about what he was doing. At exactly 12 o’clock, he came to our table and said… What can I get you to eat? We had the special which was a corned beef sandwich and fries which we split and my wife Phil took a piece of her home. The food was great and there was plenty of it for 15 bucks. I think if you’re in Dublin, you should get off the beaten path a little bit and come to this place.

19/05/2026: Probably my favorite pub in Dublin overall. Both historic and fun. They pour a great pint of Guinness and make a spectacular Irish coffee. Great spot for a date or a night out

26/05/2026: Staff was so rude and making faces ..if you don't like to work it's fine. they were telling us outside is not open but then people were sttting there and having drinks. Then even though we were not finished they came with the bill and was awkward. Place is nice so I am giving 4 stars but service could be better

25/05/2026: What an amazing bar. Beautifully decorated and we could have been in Paris. The restaurant was equally tastefully designed. The cocktails were lovely. We also eat there and the food was exceptional. We both had a wonderful treat of an evening. Great atmosphere and service.

05/05/2026: We had a disappointing experience. In the middle of our meal, the waiter asked us to move to another table, which felt very disruptive and disrespectful. It’s not something you expect when you’re trying to enjoy your food. Overall, the service left a bad impression and could definitely be handled more thoughtfully.

24/03/2026: Great food, and plates etc. Service & welcome was luke warm, atmosphere was a little dead. Half full but still, all but one overhead light over tables were off. Pity because they nailed the food.

14/02/2026: A real gem. Quite an unassuming location, but a fantastic menu and delicious food by a team who very clearly care about what they put on your plate. We will definitely be back!

06/05/2026: We came here for lunch on a weekday, just after the rush had passed. Despite it being busy, the staff had cleaned up very well and all tables were available. There was no wait time for a member of staff to greet us and bring us to our seats. The food came out promptly, and the drinks were served quickly to us. I was slightly disappointed with the sides, several of them lacking flavour. The chicken was good, and so were the chips. The cheesecake was average, the base was soggy. I would say it could be better value for money considering the quality. The staff are all lovely though and the restaurant was beautiful, I believe there’s better food options elsewhere in the shopping centre.

04/11/2025: One of the best meals I’ve had in a while. I had the Bone Marrow Appetizer and the 10oz Ribeye medium and pepper sauce. Great Guinness too. Will be returning when I come to Dublin next.

02/11/2025: Unpleasant experience last night at La Gordita for my birthday. We arrived on time and were seated at the bar. The staff were chatting with the two couples next to us, explaining the menu and taking their drinks orders. By the time our waiter came over, their food was already arriving. No one explained the menu to us, and the waiter seemed a bit sniffy when we ordered a cheap bottle of wine. The food itself was average. The crab salad was a highlight, but the garlic in the prawns was burnt and the Spanish omelette wasn’t a proper tortilla it was just a flat omelette topped with slices of potato and chorizo. Generally boring flavours and small portions. Staff checked in with the tables around us as they got their food - but not with us. After finishing the tapas we’d ordered, we were still hungry. When the waiter asked if we’d had enough and we said no, he just handed us the dessert menu and said “great.” We ended up leaving after about an hour - no dessert - and felt like just getting our coats back was asking too much. Not sure if it was because we looked young or like tourists, but the service felt frosty and unwelcoming. The host did check in once and the lady who took over the bill was nice, but overall the experience was disappointing. Wouldn’t recommend this place for a special occasion. I’d be really annoyed if I’d booked it expecting a treat based on the Michelin guide. We spent €140 on five tapas dishes, were largely ignored and left hungry. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.

30/03/2026: We had chicken Tandoori, chilli Momo, thali set and Choila, Everything was top notch A class. Best Nepalese we ever had in Ireland. Highly recommended!!

06/05/2026: I got panang curry which didn't appear to be made with very much if any coconut milk or cream plus had a very odd disagreeable flavor. The white rice was good though! Peanut sauce was also disappointingly bland. I found myself looking around for a salt shaker. The waitress was friendly. Restaurant cute but would have been nice to hear some legit Thai music instead of the maudlin electronic background slop they were playing.

24/04/2026: The fried calamari as a starter was truly incredible! Be aware of the 10 percent service charge.

26/05/2026: Perfect location, close to everything...super attentive staff...I highly recommend the hotel.

26/05/2026: Good experience. Service is very good, friendly and helpful. The room is a bit small by North American standards but is quite comfortable and nicely appointed. Pretty good location. 20 minute walk to Temple Bar area, 15 minutes to the river.

24/10/2025: What an excellent little deli! The staff were lovely too. I heard the lovely gentleman behind the counter say that they never reused meat from the day before and you can absolutely taste the freshness. Will absolutely be back if I’m ever in the neighbourhood again.

21/10/2025: One of the nicest sandwiches I’ve ever had. With a name like Pig and Heifer, I wasn’t sure about what the vegetarian options would be, I got Gorgonzola and Veg on toasted Sour Dough. The produce is at the highest end you can get, just 10/10. Also, seemed to be independently owned with regular customers, good atmosphere.
