The best restaurants in Dublin

19/05/2025: Bar staff had a problem with me because I was wearing a sleeveless vest (and might I just say, I looked lovely). I've seen other reviews saying the bartender had a problem with people wearing glitter. Starts to paint a pattern.

10/05/2025: I enjoyed every bite of the food. It's not only Asian in flavor, but also texture and presentation. Her food will stand out too even if she opens her restaurant in Asia. Most of all, the owner's really friendly and respectful, and I enjoyed every moment I spent there. I'm so glad that I randomly stumbled upon this place, and I'll def, 100% visit again if I get the chance.

09/05/2025: I ordered a takeaway to collect. It was very near closing time. It was my first time to visit this particular shop. But I couldn't find it because there's an outside seating area in front of it. I phoned back to get directions. The chap there was really polite despite it now being past closing time. The food was lovely and portion size great.

14/05/2025: Sat waiting ages to be served and the blonde girl with glasses wouldn’t even look at us. Told us ‘wait a minute’ when we asked to order yet went inside and 10 minutes went by. We got up and left, such a pity as all we wanted to do was eat as we had heard great stuff. Will definitely not recommend.

13/05/2025: *rating changed, pls read below* Hands down my favorite breakfast spot in all of Dublin. The chicken and waffles are next level and always my go to. Seriously, I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad meal here. 13/5/25 Edit: I have to change my rating only because for the past few months, things have really changed for the worse at Evolve. First of all: shrinkflation. A chicken waffle for example used to come with two pieces of chicken and two waffles. Now it’s just one piece of chicken and one waffle. The price has gone up too and is now €16 for less food. They also cut corners by giving you Philadelphia on your waffle (which is honestly gross, who thought that was a good idea?) instead of mascarpone in order to save money. On top of that the quality of food has gone down. The chicken used to be packed with flavour. Now it’s bland and completely lacks that zesty black pepper seasoning. The waffles used to be crispy. Now the single solitary waffle that you get is often times mushy and kind of gross. What happened to this place after the renovation?? Yesterday my wife and I got our usuals: chicken waffle, hash bowl, and 2 coffees and it was €47. €47 for breakfast and you get less of it! I’m sorry, but that’s insane. Even the Kingswood location, although it’s the same price, does a better job preparing the food. I’m not sure what happened to my favourite breakfast place, but it’s sad to see it deteriorate in such a short amount of time. The cooks at the Kingswood location are way more consistent, but the exorbitant prices at both locations have kept me from coming back weekly like I used to and now I’ll usually stop in maybe once a month if that. Honestly, it’s kind of sad, I used to absolutely LOVE this place for years.

19/05/2025: As an American with Irish roots, I have a small amount of anxiety going into an Irish pub in Ireland. Well. You should not feel that way. The patrons just wanted to help us have the best vacation. Dean and Mark behind the bar are exquisite at their bar skills. Have them make your drinks! My irish papa would have loved the mashed potatoes with mushrooms and gravy! Perfection! It's so good it could feed the world and cause world peace! Go! Don't walk run!

24/05/2025: We had such a great time at the cocktail class ! Everything about it the location, atmosphere, music and staff were excellent. Definitely something to do if you are coming to Dublin for the day. The bartender Diego was excellent and made the class so fun!

24/05/2025: A great introductory experience to the Tiki Bar experience. Great value and lighting, the selection here is phenomenal--much larger than your average Tiki Bar. Classic Tiki drinks are refined to the local taste but still maintain their original flavor and punch.

02/05/2025: Excellent service and very friendly staff. Quick turnaround for food came all the way from the US had my best meal here while visiting. Sidenote I did notice a rock thrown at one of the windows hopefully it wasn't racially motivated otherwise great place to eat

22/05/2025: Found this place the last day we were in Dublin. Wish we had found it earlier. I highly recommend get the octopus (so soft!) & steak. Bartender was awesome and took the time to talk about their specials.

10/05/2025: To test a coffee shop u simply order espresso...that is most difficult to get right. This coffee shop pulls espresso that is perfect...as good as my setup at home. Perfection.

17/05/2025: The food and coffee is absolutely superb. Finally, an avocado toast where the bacon is not just a measly strip, but a heap of bacon. Killer. The staff at the counter was very friendly too and the atmosphere is nice. But seriously the breakfast is worth more than 5 stars.

15/05/2025: I used to love this place for breakfast. I was sitting in the outdoor area that has a sign saying smoking is prohibited. A woman next to me lit a cigarette, and the owner or manager showed up at that very moment. I thought he was going to ask her to put it out, but instead, he lit a cigarette right next to her table. 🫠

17/05/2025: I’ve been a regular at this cafe for quite some time and have always appreciated the welcoming atmosphere, quality food and coffee, and excellent service. Unfortunately, that experience has changed recently. It seems the staff has been replaced, and the new team doesn’t maintain the same level of service. On our latest visit, customer service was disappointing. We were dining in, but all our food and drinks were given to us in takeaway containers. This has never happened before. Some customers did receive bowls or plates, which made it clear that proper dishes were available. It felt as though the staff simply didn’t want to clean up afterward. While we were there, the staff were engaged in personal conversations behind the counter while dealing with other customers. They didn’t approach our table to confirm our orders or deliver drinks properly. Instead, they shouted coffee orders across the café, expecting customers to know who they were talking to. It felt unprofessional and careless. We also noticed that there was no dog bowl available, even though this place has always been dog-friendly. When we asked, they said they never provided one, even though we’ve visited multiple times in the past and a dog bowl has always been available. We were handed a cup of water instead, which is fine. Given that the food and coffee here are priced higher than average, I would expect a much better level of service. The previous staff were always kind, attentive, and professional. Sadly, this visit felt like being served by a group of teenagers. There was also a long line of customers waiting for food, many of whom looked just as frustrated. I truly hope this cafe can return to the standards it once had. It was a very disappointing experience

16/05/2025: What a busy little spot. Small but nice atmosphere. Only went in for coffee however, the sandwiches looked lovely. Simple and very well done. A welcoming coffee shop.
