The best restaurants in Dublin

29/10/2025: I had such a great experience at Umai in Dundrum! The salmon poke bowl was super fresh and delicious, but what really stood out was the service — the girl who helped me (kinata) was so kind and friendly. I asked for a special request and she handled it with such a lovely attitude. It really made my day! Highly recommend this place — amazing food and even better people 💚

24/10/2025: Finally! A sushi restaurant in Dublin that know what they’re doing! They also changed my order when I mistakenly ordered raw tuna. So helpful and friendly.

08/06/2026: Pretty disappointed with this place. It was half empty but we waited a long time for our small order for 4 people. The sushi itself was mostly tasteless and a bit dry. They forgot my wife’s side dish and when we reminded them, after we were well finished the mains, it still didn’t arrive for another 20 minutes (a side salad!) so we got up and asked to have it to go. The juices were nice but arrived warm, room temperature. I had to add ice to make them more drinkable. Also, when ordering using the online menu with the table QR code they auto add the tip, perhaps because they suspect you won’t add it yourself. Pretty cheeky for a table under 6 people. Finally, one of the two men’s toilets was busted and wouldn’t flush (see picture). All in all, not recommended.

16/06/2026: A beautiful tour through the history of Whiskey and we were totaly blown away by the selection of Whiskey for tasting, we had the CRAIC of our trip here 👍🏻😄

03/06/2026: I had lunch here today. A quiet wednesday. Lovely eclectic decor, much looked original. Friendly barman, helpful and informative. I had the Thai red chicken curry which was delicious! Loads of chicken, lovely creamy sauce with al dente vegetables - perfect. I had half a Guinness, though I don't like it in UK but this was lovely. A real treasure of a place.

16/05/2026: This small venue is usually bustling but it’s worth it for the huge selection of donuts. The staff is quick and you won’t have to wait long.

15/05/2026: The donut was so good and actually reasonably priced for the quality and size you get. The location is great, close to the park and Main Street. The staff were really nice, and the coffee was good and hot.

14/05/2026: Great Chicken Dinner Box from the lovely ladies here.Big chips and generous pieces of tasty chicken.Good prices. I liked the fish burger too.Always nice to find a chip shop on top of it's game.

15/08/2025: A great place to go if you want to try a full Irish breakfast. High-quality ingredients and perfectly cooked. A very pleasant terrace. You can go there with your eyes closed, you won't be disappointed.

08/06/2026: The experience was unpleasant from the moment we walked in. The girl at the counter couldn't find my reservation even though I could see it on the screen. Then she said she had no kids menus/colouring pencils even though I could see some. When we sat down no-one came over to take our order for 20mins. We didn't have kids menus so we had to wait a further 10mins to order after they were provided. We ordered pasta pesto from the kids menu but requested pesto on the side. We were told this was not possible (even though other Milanos have done this for us no problem). So we ordered something else. When the mains came there was only two dishes. They didn't put the remainder of the order through. So that meant two of us had to wait another 20mins. By time that arrived the portions were small & the food was just okay. We spoke to the manager & waiter but neither of them seemed bothered. Very disappointed in the service & it would put us off returning.

13/06/2026: This restaurant used to be good, but our recent visit was very disappointing. The table next to us was unbearably loud, and the staff did nothing. The burrata also seemed questionable, possibly spoiled, and no one seemed concerned. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

12/06/2026: Unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance to eat there, even though the food smelled amazing. We had been looking for a restaurant that offered gluten-free pizza, and several reviews mentioned that they had that option. However, when I asked one of the staff members (who was very nice, by the way), she explained that although they do offer gluten-free pizzas, they are cooked in the same oven as the regular pizzas. Because of that, she actually advised us not to order one, as my mother gets very sick from cross-contamination. My question is: what’s the point of offering gluten-free pizza if it’s going to be contaminated anyway? =( This isn’t meant as criticism, just a suggestion. It might be worth considering having a separate oven—even a small one—for gluten-free pizzas, so that people with coeliac disease or severe gluten intolerance can safely enjoy them too.

22/04/2026: Just back from there with husband and kids. Really really good place, food was delicious, kids meals were quite big, very reasonable prices and very tasty, I got Caesar salad and husband got the loaded potatoes skins, every thing was eaten, and it was all so tasty and price for all was very good value. Girl that served us was also so nice. Will be back!! ETA i have to say this place is gone downhill, I think they changed the chef, food is terrible, chicken wings were obviously lying there and then re heated because the meat was hard, husband got Guinness and it was really bad, we have tried this place a few times hoping it was a once off but no, awful so won't be back unfortunately.

23/03/2026: Staying with work in The West County Hotel and went for walk in Phoenix Park. Called in here for bite to eat and a drink on way back. first thing that strikes you is the interior is really nice and the pub has real character. Food was excellent with an extensive menu and staff were just nice people. Will definitely be back and would strongly recommend it. It's outside appearance doesn't prepare you for how nice it is inside.
