O'Connells
Dublin
18/12/2024: Had a 2 night stop in Dublin to see the Pogues at the 3 arena and stumbled across this pub. Great staff constantly good Guinness and really good food. Only 2 minutes walk from temple bar hotel and a lot cheaper than the bars in temple bar. Make sure you pay a visit

Restaurant 104
Dublin
16/12/2024: Stopped in for lunch and had a wonderful BLT sandwich and chips. A lovely little find in Dromcondra that I would highly recommend. Friendly staff and good food!
13/12/2024: Edit 2: owner removed his answer. Another one who can't take customer feedback. Edit: owner's answer "cheer up" is so poor. I won't return . You chose hospitality, we didn't force you. Original: Was offered to seat in the front room by a waitress who could not smile, bad first impression. The front room is quite grim and loud as staff is having loud chats by the till, the coffee machine is noisy, and the cutlery bouncing around doesn't help. The food was OK, nothing to rave about. I didn't feel the welcome others describe here, but I might give it another try for dinner in the rear room as dinner menu has more options.

Fooderia Dublin
Dublin
29/04/2024: Some of the best tasting I've ever had! 🤤 And I've had a lot. 🤫 They're just the right size, last as long as real ones, but without any of the after care that is needed 🤭😷. Just beware that you consume calories with this one, rather than burn calories like with the real ones - although the sauce from this one definitely tastes better! 💦
22/04/2024: This was a fun experience honestly. They got variety of sweet treats in really funny names. They were delicious to be honest. A must try if you are in Dublin city center

Peperina City Bistro
Dublin
24/01/2024: Excellent menu
Excellent service
Excellent value
Overall an extraordinary experience
08/01/2024: I recently celebrated my birthday at this wonderful restaurant with seven of my friends, and I can't express how delightful our experience was. From the warm and attentive service to the mouthwatering Argentinian cuisine, every aspect of our celebration was top-notch.
The staff went above and beyond to make our evening special. They not only accommodated our group but also allowed us to bring our own cake, which added a personal touch to the celebration. It's not often that you find a restaurant so accommodating, and we truly appreciated their flexibility.
As an Argentinian, food was the highlight of the evening. Each dish we ordered was bursting with authentic flavors. The attention to detail in every aspect of the meal was evident, making it a gastronomic delight for all of us.
The restaurant generously gifted us a dessert for the entire table. It was a sweet gesture that made our celebration even more memorable.
The only disappointment was the absence of Entraña, but it didn't overshadow the overall positive experience. Despite this small hiccup, the evening was a beautiful celebration filled with great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentical Argentinian dining experience. It's a gem that combines delicious cuisine with outstanding hospitality, making it the perfect place for celebrations. We'll definitely be back for more!

Oliver St John Gogarty
Dublin
20/12/2024: Recommended, nice pub, live music, one of the better ones!
20/12/2024: Sorry we went here should have known better when they thought it was ok to seat us for a meal in the bar where you couldn't hear yourself think. Then we where directed upstairs which was a lot better. Until the food arrived my meal was ok apart from my Guinness which tasted stale I had sausage & mash my wife had the fish & chips with a side of gravy, which I have to say was disgraceful the peas were over salted, the gravy was out of a packet then the fish we were told it was haddock, don't think I have ever seen pink haddock if they had run out of haddock why didn't they tell us instead of trying to hide the fact that they had served her salmon. I would not recommend anyone going for something to eat here.

My Meat Wagon
Dublin
07/12/2024: Unique place, they serve abundant food
01/12/2024: Pros:
The place is lovely, with a great atmosphere.
Cons:
Ordered two burgers and a portion of meat in a box.
The meat in a box was great, the beef brisket portion was huge, was delicious and well cooked. The mash is proper potato mash, no cheap instant powder mash. The fries were alright, but overkilled with salt.
Unfortunately, although tasty, the two burgers were a joke. Their size was equivalent or slightly larger than the McDonald's euro saver burger and were tiny compared to the photos seen online and compared to what I had in the past. For a moment I felt that I might be a bit dramatic, till I noticed that the table behind us had a burger that was significantly larger, so I am not sure why there was such a difference between the two, as the menu is already pretty small and the options that evening were limited (half of the menu was sold out). We also ordered garlic mayo as a side which we never got.
To be fair with the staff, as soon as I expressed my disappointment they did remove the garlic mayo from the bill, they fully discounted one of the drinks we had (one discounted drink for two burgers) and apologized more than a couple of times; which probably that was the only thing a team member could do without involving management. Yet, we still felt that this discount was too little too late.
In a nutshell
If the burgers are the same size as the ones we got, then you are better off with meat in a box, as the burgers we had were not worth the twenty quid; they were hugely overpriced. The meat in box is conservatively twice as big (in terms of meat weight) and you get two sides instead of one paying only one or two euros extra.
If your visit is solely to have a burger and you are hungry, you better try somewhere else. I can name at least ten restaurants where the same money can buy better and larger burgers, even on the high street.
