The best restaurants in Dublin

19/05/2025: Well I am living in Clontarf for years aways had good experience with the shads but today almost closing pub time me and my friend played music on my phone outside of the place and the manager kick us out because of it, in a summer night and end of night looks that was a bad thing be having fun, still don’t get it how that was so bad, shame on you the sheds…

28/05/2025: Always a pleasure - friendly welcome and efficient service. The setting is typical of a pub but elegant! A good selection of cocktails, traditional Irish pub menu. A good local address for a family lunch and/or to watch a match.

20/05/2025: Aye here in advance of a leinster match and the food was delicious. Small group, we all got burgers. My burger was the vegan burger and it has to be one of the best vegan burgers I've ever had. Chips were delicious too. Loved the atmosphere and the rugby memorabilia that decorates the walls.

11/05/2025: BEWARE!!! They cancelled our room 3 days before arrival, booked 7 months in advance! Horrible! They never gave us an explanation. Also asked them why we were being displaced versus others that had booked after us.... no explanation again. They said they "upgraded" us to a room in downtown Dublin for a "discounted rate" of $250 for the night. Quick online search and same average hotel ware $168/night. What a joke. Would NEVER recommend to anyone and would never try to go back. Zero stars.

11/05/2025: The place isn't everything, you don't really feel welcomed, the staff is a bit of a jerk, except at breakfast, but for the bar, no, the staff really leaves something to be desired. The room then, for the price of an exclusive, is nothing exclusive. Not up to expectations, and don't trust the photos. Otherwise the hotel itself is pretty, but once again, the location is not everything. So I don't recommend it.

20/05/2025: Great atmosphere and service. My wife had a lamb pie dish which was dry. I had hake which was excellent. I would definitely go again. It was a beautiful sunny Saturday evening by the water.

18/05/2025: We actually went back here nearly a month back but I didn’t get a chance to write then and I just thought it it now. It was a really nice experience . Great staff which I have to commend but didn’t think my meal was perfect it was a bit small for portion size overall. We had a nice date night though and we’re happy overall

21/05/2025: perfect place to get coffee and breakfast/lunch at an affordable price. lots of space to sit, limited outdoor seating, very clean, and friendly service. food came out quickly. great for tourists

06/05/2025: We had an amazing time at The Wild Duck in Dublin—easily one of the highlights of our trip. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the drinks were top-notch (the Guinness was perfect, of course!). Whether you're a local or just visiting, this place is a must. Can’t wait to come back!

16/04/2025: Horrible antes de que empezara. Como acordamos durante nuestra llamada de reserva llegamos a las 9 pm. El restaurante parecía lleno y el gerente no nos dejó entrar, alegando que el atuendo de mi hija no era adecuado para ese lugar. ¿En serio? Fue una excusa grosera porque el restaurante estaba lleno. Fue una actitud grosera para alguien que se las arregla como lugar que depende de las revisiones y recomendaciones. Tal cintura. Deseadle buena suerte y la próxima vez os traeremos nuestro vestido de lentejuelas. Qué triste actitud...

13/04/2025: The Manager was rude and dismissive. The tables were jammed together and the waiters kept bumping into our chairs. The atmosphere was uncomfortable and tense. The food was very average. Overall a very poor customer experience.

19/05/2025: Food tasted like Chinese food masked as Japanese food, which makes sense because the place is not operated by Japanese. As if that's not bad enough, the place is so small that the restroom is only separated by a made-up wooden sliding door at the back of the room. Each time a guest or worker goes to the restroom, that door is often not closed back - exposing the toilet 🚽🪠 bowl to all who are unlucky to be seated at the back of the room. Unsanitary and frankly utterly ridiculous. I am guessing the only reasons why this place is even popular are for two reasons. First, some folks cannot distinguish the difference between Chinese and Japanese cuisines. Second, there is no other place that serve sushi in the vicinity. We will never return. We would rather eat take-out pizza.

16/05/2025: Excellent sushi spot in Dublin! Fast service and a great atmosphere. The servers give fortune cookies at the end.

12/05/2025: Had booked a combined package of both the Store House and Open Gate for the 4th May. Having done the Store House, which was excellent, moved on to Open Gate in order to have beer and food only to be told at the entrance that it was closed for a private function. No email sent to advise us of this, allowed us make a booking and even sent a reminder booking the previous day to remind us of our booking. Emailed on the Monday the address given to us to get a refund and to date 12th May no response whatsoever , very poor service.

28/04/2025: My favourite pub. Been going here on n off for a few years and the food and drinks are constantly 5 star. The waitresses are all very nice, kind and helpful as well. Honestly the best meals out there and this isn't a paid review. Just love the place and the old style of the interior as well. Will be back soon as usual ❤️

22/05/2025: Wow! What a beautiful restauran for celebrating a special occasion like my friends birthday. A wonderful welcome and delicious food to match. She even got a free birthday cake! Friendly and professional service with impeccable manner. Definitely worth a visit.

16/05/2025: We just had the pleasure of dining in this wonderful establishment from the moment we arrived we were welcomed in to a lovely warm Athmosphere the front of house staff are fantastic on the ball with everything attention to detail was fantastic.we had a 3 course beautiful meal with a few cold drinks first of all I will say I had the best pint of Guinness I've ever had in a restaurant top notch.now the best for last our food was flawless one of the best meals we've had in a long time once again the attention to detail and the flavours were amazing our main was a 10 oz rib eye cooked to perfection and my better half had the chicken supreme which was also magnificent compliments to the chef MR KARL BROWN and about master of his craft ...it was simply a culinary masterpiece. Thank you so much to the staff of MC HUGHS RAHENY we will certainly be back again.10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
