17/11/2025: I never write reviews but in this case I had to. I ordered a kebab and chillie fries at night, the next morning woke up with FOOD POISONING. I literally spent 20€ to get food poisoning, it’s the worst thing ever. They are never busy so I’m guessing they reuse old food and they aren’t hygienic at all

17/11/2025: It was late and he probably thought I was drunk, the temple street branch. I clearly asked for all the salads, and before even asking which sauce I wanted, he had already handed me the sandwich—already prepared. I’m not sure what is it like during the day, but I will never ever ever go there again. The chicken shawarma tasted horrible and my stomach was upset for a few hours afterward. Only go if you’re too drunk to care, a tough stomach, and are just looking for a cheap option.

17/12/2025: Below average! I was served a doner from a day before (if not older hopefully) with attitude! A shame for Turkish doner restaurants especially in a city like Cork.

14/12/2025: Omg I've eaten in here for years in Dublin Kilkenny etc this was worst service and food tbh food lyingng in the shoot for ages asian girl very nice in fairness kept taking orders not bagging up food while 5 lads in the back looking at her I don't complain tbh but lads come get your house in order simples and my my food was cold and there's more salt ce than taco mince which is disappointing

24/10/2024: I just ordered through Ubereats a cheeseburger with no pickles and no onion, I add fries, a coke, and a cheese sauce. What I received, only a cheeseburger with pickles and onion.

31/08/2024: We really enjoyed our time at rockets this evening from the amazing food to the service it couldn’t have been better. The lady who served us with curly hair and glasses was very kind and friendly and made very nice recommendations. She went out of her way to check on us to see if we needed anything more throughout.

03/12/2025: Not too good. But night time opener’s had a vegiterian kabab, it was over loaded with cream. And fully loaded with onion insted of other vegitables. I didnt orderd for onion kabab, i ordered veg kabab. Not good.

26/06/2025: Very good and fresh fish. They were very fast. The workers and the owner are very kind and friendly. If you wanna try an original fish and chips go there.

20/11/2025: This place is quite consistent in messing up orders, today was the last straw for us. No accountability. The food here is barely worth it if their service was any good, without that this place is an easy skip. Recommend to avoid.

14/11/2025: Absolutely beautiful chips! My son got a chicken burger, and I got a quarter pounder, both cooked to perfection! My other son who had Autism will only eat some batter sausages and he devoured the batter sausages from here. The man serving was polite and very fast considering he was serving alone. Keep up the great service and food! We thoroughly enjoyed 🥰 Thank you!

13/10/2025: I have been getting Apache (Burgerhut Hollyhill) for a good few years. When the food is good, it's really enjoyable. But the food isn't always good (particularly the chips), and as a consequence, I feel the need, to write a review, in the hope, it will encourage Apache, to make some improvements. When ordering chips from Apache, staff will often serve you chips, that have been lying in the tray, for God only knows how long, mixed in with some freshly cooked chips.. Can I ask Apache management, why serve customers, old cooked chips, mixed in with fresh cooked chips..???? Its a very mean act, and I have to throw these chips in the bin, as they are hard & horrible. Why mix old, hard, precooked chips, that have been lying in the tray, with fresh cooked chips, and then serve them to a customer..?? Customers, should only be served, FRESHLY COOKED CHIPS..!! Can I ask Apache management, why you don't automatically serve your pizza's box's, in a paper bag..? If a customer orders a pizza, they may have to walk for 15 or 20 minutes, to get home. Carrying the pizza box, with no bag, means the Pizza, will lose a lot of heat, and the pizza can be cold, when the customer gets home. Also why don't you automatically serve the donor box, and chicken spice box, in a paper bag..? Again, these food boxes, are cold, by the time a customer walks home. Also the donor & chicken spice box, can leak sauce, which can destroy a car seat (if the customer is driving home) The stout, middle aged, short haired lady, that works in Apache, gets a bad pain, if a customer asks for a bag, to put a pizza box in, or donor/chicken spice box into.. Can I ask Apache management, to please supply, proper fitting, paper bags, and to offer them to customers, who are being served food, served in a box. Its really frustrating, having to continuously ask staff, for a proper fitting paper bag, to carry pizzas and spice boxes home in. I must say, most of the staff, are very obliging, when you ask them for a bag, with the exception, of the stout, middle aged, short haired lady, who always seems, to always have an issue, and an excuse, when a customer asks for a bag. If Apache, could introduce a policy, of not serving old, precooked chips to customers, and sort out the issue of supplying customers, with proper fitting, brown paper bags, to customers ordering food in boxes, (Particularly the issue, the stout, middle aged, short haired lady has, of placing food boxes into a paper bag) I will come back and give an up to date review. 20/09/2025: Place is really gone down hill. Use to eat here all the time. Bought a kabab tray and the meet taste like it was gone off.

26/10/2024: Stay away. Burgers tiny, meal is like a snack for a 6-year-old. I would question cleanliness, and staff have zero customer service

13/07/2025: Ordered online around 10:30 got a message pop up saying my order was cancelled and I will receive my refund in 3-5 business days it has now been 8 days no refund in my account:) we also had to pay an additional 30€ up front for the food they cooked which wasn’t even up to standard. Very disappointing, and the owner lied straight to my face when confronted. Do not eat there!!

22/06/2025: Did not eat here because they do not serve fish and chips. Lots of other food to order but NO fish.

22/11/2025: If you’re not a customer they don’t let you use the toilet. I was a customer but I saw many possible customers told not to use the toilet. When I was in Paris, the workers made me feel so welcomed and they didn’t have any problems with me using the toilets without buying anything

23/09/2025: Dinos douglas has gone to the bin! Ever since the Irish girl Sarah left the chipper, the food quality has been horrendous. The asian lady working at the store makes the worst food, it’s definitely not fresh and you could just tell that the fish, chicken and dips are stale. The quality that dinos has in other stores like Grange and Turners cross is nowhere near compared to the likes of the Douglas store. The food used to be nice but ever since the asian lady has been making the food, it has been unhygienic, dirty and will definitely give someone food poisoning. Douglas dinos is really really awful now and should be avoided at all costs.
