04/05/2025: Unfortunately, the take away we were looking for was closed. As we passed and seen here open we decided to try it. What a mistake. Chips were half cooked and hard. Half of them were black! Burgers were ok. Would not go here again and would not advise anyone to go here either.

16/05/2025: The supervisor was brusk, rude and above all unobliging on two visits. I gave the cafe a second chance to redeem itself but unfortunately the same supervisor was harsh and rude again. Another lady who often cooks in the kitchen was friendly and obliging on previous occasions.

29/03/2025: We ordered pancakes and waited for 50 minutes for our food. The scones tasted salty. And a waitress was cooking her own lunch in the kitchen. There was only one chef, and there was only a limited menu of three items. Two girls that came before us also waited for a really long time. The service was also really bad. Never coming back here again.

30/04/2025: On a day out on Sunday we decided to try out the Coast restaurant in the Grand Hotel in Malahide as we'd heard it had started doing Sunday lunch. We were started close to the windows , which have a full panoramic view of the bay in Malahide. The staff Blanka and Charly were so friendly and helpful, the right blend of anticipating your needs without being constantly on top of you. We are a family of 5, with my children's ages ranging from 6 to 11 and there was ample choice for them on the Kid's Menu, the portions of which were very generous. My eldest says it's his new favourite restaurant to eat a burger, high praise indeed as he'd quite fussy. My husband and I fancied a Sunday roast and both opted for the Roast beef and we weren't disappointed either, as with the children's food the portions were extremely generous and more importantly, delicious. We were delighted with our decision to lunch there and will definitely be back.

20/04/2025: Outstanding service on a very busy Easter Sunday afternoon. The main courses were good, the deserts were superb. Special thanks to Bernita who was lovely. Top notch organisation, many thanks.

20/04/2025: If it weren't for the service lady, we would probably have left before ordering. Unfortunately, the quality and quantity of the food are not suitable for being called a restaurant. The service was nice, but the Greek salad is a collection of leftovers from the fridge, bruschetta shouldn't be called it in general, two pieces of some bread plus a diced tomato and a melted piece of mozzarella on top, the ubiquitous pesto on both salad and bruschetta cannot replace e.g. Basil, and pizza can be eaten better - 5 pieces of the cheapest salami on a hard, thin and dry piece of dough. We were very hungry and the reviews were quite misleading. We left disgusted and shocked. Unfortunately - despite nice service - I do not recommend it.

19/01/2025: Large group dinner at Lalis. Food was excellent and tasty. Service was just what we expected and all of the party had a great night. Would highly recommend.

22/04/2025: If you want to shop for good products this is it ! This store is full of cheese, fruits, vegetables and pastries (and many other things to eat or drink). A bit pricey, but higher quality comes with a price.

14/02/2025: This premises has no low seating for those with mobility issues. The photos on the website are incorrect. I had to change venue at the last minute for a small get together with friends. I was absolutely mortified. Disgraceful in this day and time

27/04/2025: Need to take the vegan options off their menu, happy to take the money for the vegan fillet and quarter pounders they USED to offer and send out cheap veggie burgers. Gone completely downhill.

18/04/2025: Has been a long time since I ve been here. Sorry to see the quality has fallen alot. Chips & onion rings tasted like the where cooked on old oil. Burger massively disappointing with what seemed like watered down sauce. Really is disappointing to come back to a once great chipper and see how far it has fallen. Hopefully maybe one day it will be back up with the best. I will say the staff where nice.

17/02/2025: I loved it there, atmosphere was great and had really good music playing (love the music taste of the workers) i really liked the latte and brownie, definitely will be coming back :)

21/05/2025: Not a good start to your day if you're vegan. They never seem to have the vegan sandwiches. They did offer me a vegan tea cake, not what I wanted but will have to do. They offered to toast it which sounded better. But after it was toasted they didn't have vegan butter so it was a dry toasted tea cake. Disappointing. Then handed me a real milk cappuccino even though I did ask for oat cappuccino. 🙄
