05/03/2026: The worst spice bag you will ever have in your life. Vile. The chicken was very thin, in fould tasting batter and was GREY in colour. No veg. No seasoning. Horrible. Chucked it in the bin. Pure waste of money. I recommend you go to Munemesa takeaway up at dunnes for quality food.

16/09/2026: There’s a staff named Philippe is very bad… we ordered from Starbucks online app and then after waiting for 5-7 mins he said he didn’t receive the order then suddenly he said ok i’m making the coffee. Very bad behaviour. He didn’t even write anything on the cup about the coffee… and didn’t even bothered to ask for cream on the top. The old staff members were very good.

02/08/2026: I would like to add a negative opinion about the restaurant, as most restaurants ask for your debit card details from the ATM when ordering. According to the law, every bank prohibits giving out any card details, as well as the PIN to the card. How is it possible in this country to have them sneak into your accounts?

13/09/2026: Lovely home cooked food, very fresh. We sat in for dinner and had great, friendly service. It seems to operate mainly as a takeaway as we were the only people sitting inside but everything was very clean and well presented and we were well looked after.

04/08/2026: The service is absolutely lovely! I love the women who works there she looks so sweet and also is. We got a free can of drink with a free dip. Loved it. The chicken is so crunchy and nuggets taste so good. I loved it overall. This is gonna be me and my sister's new go-to spot!

03/10/2026: Today was my first visit to Borza Takeaway in Balbriggan, and my first impression was quite mixed. The premises are quite large, especially the kitchen, and you can see that they prepare a lot of orders. I was interested to see how everything was organised and specifically wanted to see where the kebabs were prepared, but I couldn’t see a kebab counter from the customer area — perhaps it is further inside the kitchen. The woman taking orders behind the counter seemed friendly and pleasant. However, I noticed the appearance of the staff. She was not wearing a uniform or a hair covering. The other staff members I could see in the kitchen were wearing uniforms, but they were also not wearing hair coverings. The front counter/display area looked quite empty — I could only see a few prepared items. Surprisingly, though, our order was ready very quickly, which was definitely a plus. Unfortunately, when we got home, we discovered that one of the two pizzas was not the one I had ordered. I specifically ordered the Chilli Beef, Jalapeño & Taco Mayo pizza because I wanted to try that particular combination. Instead, we received a different pizza. Both pizzas looked appetising and there was a good amount of topping, but getting the wrong pizza definitely affected my first impression. Pros: friendly staff member at the counter, very quick service, large pizzas and plenty of toppings. Cons: one of the pizzas was incorrect; the front counter looked almost empty; kitchen staff were not wearing hair coverings, and the woman at the counter was also not wearing a uniform or hair covering. Overall: 3/5 ⭐️ — a mixed first impression. I may try Borza again and sample some of their other dishes before making a final judgement.

02/10/2026: As a loyal customer, I go every Thursday.. I was in today 01/10/26 just after 5pm and could only describe the bag of chips I got as slop. Barely warm, brown and greasy obviously had been sitting there from earlier that day. I’m actually mortified that you would hand out food like that when the shop wasn’t even busy. €4.30 and the whole bag went in the bin. Won’t be returning and will give my custom to one of the many other chippers in Balbriggan.

07/09/2026: Food is okay but this one was bad. Avacados raw and hard. We got the seared salmon roll. Salmon plain sushi just plain rice and a hard piece of avocado. No flavour

04/09/2026: Sooo disgusted by the quality of pizza I received tonight. 20 bucks for a dry pizza with little to no cheese and toppings. Threw it in the bin

24/08/2026: Absolute joke of a place - order through uber eats with delivery estimate of 30 mins - at 40 mins I called the restaurant and they said they have a policy of not accepting orders with non Irish phone numbers and that he would have to start the order manually himself. 1 hour later I get a call that it had been left in hotel reception only to soon realise it had been delivered to another hotel - driver had to go back and pick it up and deliver to me and of course the pizza and cookies were stone cold - 2.5 hours waiting for shite food and no apology- AVOID

27/08/2026: Came here for a previous family event in June which was very good and so returned. Unfortunately this time the experience was very dissappointing. Only 1 out of 9 people thought the food was good. Most thought average some thought poor. One dessert was inedible (Chocolate Cake). Shame..... staff great view lovely but wont be back (for the food anyway)

19/08/2026: I dined at the Coast Restaurant when I was in Dublin for a layover and whilst the servers were friendly and attentive, I was displeased with the second class treatment I received as an individual dining alone. When I requested a table and informed them it was only I who would be dining, the host grimaced. Literally grimaced. I was not given a place beside the window even thought the restaurant was nearly empty. I requested one, but was told they were reserved. However when a couple arrived 20 minutes later they were directed to a window seat when they requested it. Restaurants need to understand that businessmen and businesswoman often travel solo. We should not be treated differently than other guests.

28/08/2026: Delicious Chinese food, it’s a restaurant as well as a takeaway. Jade also provides food to the local pub the orchard which is below the jade restaurant. Their app is very good, and give a very accurate approximation when the food will be ready for collection

09/08/2026: Thought we’d give this place a try after receiving a menu through the letterbox. In hindsight, the menu should probably have stayed in the letterbox. We ordered black bean crispy chicken and egg fried rice as the mains, along with a few starters. And this is where the regrets began… and continued… and, frankly, multiplied. The chicken balls were undercooked, with batter that appeared to have been filled with water rather than cooked properly. The prawn toast was less “prawn toast” and more “toast that had once heard rumours about prawns”. The black bean sauce was strangely chewy — not a quality normally associated with sauce. The crispy chicken was suspiciously un-chicken-like in both appearance and flavour. At this stage, questions were being asked and trust was rapidly disappearing. Then came the egg fried rice — delivered in what can only be described as a compact rubber brick. It looked more boiled than fried and had the consistency of something that had been dropped from a height and then reassembled. By the end of the meal, we were no longer eating dinner — we were conducting a culinary investigation. Without question, the worst Chinese takeaway experience we’ve ever had. What started as “let’s give the new place a try” quickly became “why on earth did we do that?” Hopefully this review saves someone else from making the same mistake. Avoid. Avoid. AVOID. Your stomach, your taste buds and your future self will thank you.
