21/08/2024: breakfast for four people, very disappointing. roll was returned as it had mould on it. When returned no staff engagement to see what I would like to do, just went straight to check dates on all the rolls and left.me standing about waiting for someone to ask what i would like to do, no apology at that time. Two plates came first and we sat waiting for the others so the first ones were cold when the rest arrived. New roll arrived when I was away from the table and apology was made to my 13 year old son, coffee was then cold with no offer of a refresh or indeed an apology to myself for the mouldy roll. Ate half the replacement as i was put off bu the mouldy roll. Food was heavy and greasy and most was left behind or taken home in a bag, Will not be returning, poor customer service. Reply: With respect Pamela you had ample opportunity to speak to me, not to mention I came.in to get sauce which you handed to staff to give to me, you could have approached me then As per my review I took home half of each of the children's sandwiches in a bag henxce why not on the plate they were not eaten at home either im afraid and not even half my roll was eaten. with respect my review is valid and stands.

12/10/2024: Ordered online, good deal for 3 lrg pies. Selected what time to bake for and was ready to go 2 mins after it got there. Apple Pay made it handy to pay.

12/11/2024: Disappointed with Eddie Rockets of late. The burgers on my last two visits were dry and hard. The chips on my visit today were totally over done and re cooked too many times. My cheese sauce was very thick and gloopy. No need to pre cook the burgers on a quiet Tuesday night I feel. There is also a longstanding smell of toilet/ drains also which is off putting so we sit the far side to avoid it. Lastly, we went for the kids eat free Tuesday, I ordered two kids meals and a jnr meal and was charged for the jnr meal. I had 3 kids but was informed that the jnr isn't included. Not sure it's well informed on the poster and it wasn't explained by the server which may not be part of their training but it would have been nice to steer me. The service was good otherwise and prompt etc. No issues with the service other than the offer not being explained but the food quality has definitely dropped and please sort the toilets! Always loved Eddie Rockets but have ye lost your standards perhaps in recent times?

07/11/2024: Great welcome on arrival. Be sure to log your car registration on the screen at check in. No need to do the pay and display. Room was lovely, when they said it can with a sea view, they were not wrong. Lovely panoramic window looking out to sea and along the beach. Love the fact that you can see the sea from the shower also due to a second window above the bed headboard. Nice walk in shower, only thing missing was a toilet roll holder. Not really a complaint. Just a bit of a niggle. Bed was really comfortable, with a great firm mattress. Had food in the restaurant for my evening meal. staff were inviting and there was a great energy in the room. Great service during my meal. Went for the Dexter beef burger which was very tasty. The chips were incredible perfectly seasoned washed down with some very fresh tasting Guinness. Had the caramel brownie for dessert. Delicious and rich. Breakfast was off a menu, went for the shoreline works, all tasted freshly cooked served with toast on the side. Eggs were excellent. Really hope to stay here again. Very enjoyable with a great beach literally on the hotel's doorstep for a morning or evening walk.

04/11/2024: A new low! It's Monday at 430pm so I suggest to my wife that we avail of an offer we saw at the Shoreline hotel. To be sure, I checked their website and the offer was still advertised. As we were travelling from Killsallaghan to Donabate (with 3 kids) I called the hotel. It was answered at 4:21pm. I was asked to hold while they confirmed. This reassured me that they were checking and alas, the receptionist confirmed that the offer was still valid and read out the actual offer "Kids eat Free Mon-Fri 3pm-745pm!". Great! So we arrive around 6pm (less than an hour and a half after confirmation). We are greeted by Sandy. Greeted is possibly too generous in hindsight...we were glanced at from across the restaurant..."are ye alright?". I guess standing at the "please wait to be seated" sign with 2 kids and a baby might allude to the fact that we have arrived for a meal? I once again verified the offer. I was swiftly informed it had expired. To my amazement, I replied..."oh, I checked your website and I called and confirmed and hence why we travelled over?." Sandy replied that she would check. Expecting nothing more than a yes, sorry about that and what can I get you, I relaxed. How wrong was I. Now before I detail the unbelievably poor handling of the situation that followed...I will say that things can go wrong with any business but how a business reacts to an issue can either save a negative impression or seriously compound the issue. Sadly...it was the latter and it was to get far worse. Sandy returned, casually pulled over a chair and quite loudly confirmed to me that no one on duty had taken such a call from me and despite the website detailing the offer, the offer was still not available to me. I asked how could that could be the case to which I received the following unhelpful reply..."our phone lines when not answered are managed by an external company called 'Perfect Reception' and they must have misinformed you". "It wasn't any of us here". I replied that this was not my concern and that the offer should stand considering it was written on the website and calls are recorded so my claims could be verified. Sandy's response "Well you can go elsewhere to eat" with a shrug of the shoulders. Both myself and my wife were totally stumped and we immediately got up. Sandy's body language and replies to me were utterly unprofessional. At no point did this person review the situation and make a decision that we were misinformed and had made the trip over especially. At no point did she demonstrate an understanding of people, a willingness to assist or oblige a family with young children or expend any effort to try and save the situation. Instead we left feeling utterly inconvenienced and extremely annoyed that we had received such poor hospitality. The offer that was on that night (2 for 1 on fish and chips) was of a similiar value to the offer we travelled for so there was no loss of revenue by honouring what was (and still is) an advertised deal. We aren't stuck for a few bob. This is a principal thing. We are local to the area and frequent Donabate strand and the hotel in the summer purchasing coffees and sandwiches there regulary. I often in the past used the hotel for work etc. Sandy's handling lost the Shorline restaurant around €70 in revenue this evening which is what we would have spent not to mention further visits which will now not be happening. What makes everything even more disappointing is that when I asked Sandy for the General Manager's name, she replied "I thought you said you knew him" in a smart tone. When I then asked her to get me the most senior person in the premises instead, she replied "that's me!" This person is not suited to working in the hospitality sector. When I asked her did she know the effort it takes to move 3 kids out of the house and drive 20 mins each way for a meal she replied, "I know I have kids". We used to like the Shoreline but will sadly never darken its doors again. We will spend our hard earned money elsewhere instead!

18/11/2024: AC wasn't working. We were told we could switch rooms, but at that point, we had all of our suitcases open to organize our stuff for the next part of our vacation and would have been too much trouble to get things together to go to another room. We were given a fan to use. Woke up the next morning to find I was so sick from the fan blowing on us. I would think the housekeeping staff would make sure everything works before allowing someone to use the room next. Also....the server at the restaurant we ate at there was sooo difficult to understand. A few times of asking her to repeat what she said, she said "forget it". And their 3ml bottles of sodas are €5 each. Ridiculous.

16/11/2024: Rooms are basic and there’s no light at all. Only lamps. The hall is completely dark and the room don’t have enough light to see. What happened? 💡

17/06/2024: Lovely little cafe, but that mean, nasty landlord of yours is costing you customers and sales. I refuse to purchase anything on the days where she harasses me in the car park.

22/03/2024: Fabulous community spirit place to meet. A hub of activity. Great service and staff, family run and really friendly. Desserts and chocolates are a particular speciality.... It is a chocolate factory! But the scones, simply the best in Dublin. A real treat to visit.

14/08/2024: Great spot! The phone number is not working though and there’s literally no way to get in touch with them. Does anyone have a contact?

18/07/2024: I think you could consider this place a hidden Jen of sorts. I've been to malahide castle dozens of times and never knew this was here. It's lovely spot for a coffee and a sambo. The pitch and put course provides a scenic outdoor view and the indoor seating area is charming and comfortable.

14/10/2024: Very good gluten-free fish and chips at a good price. They have a separate fryer, they deliver it to you with great care.

23/10/2024: They allowed my 13yearold and his friends to play pool. What are the staff thinking allowing young people with no parent in the bar use the place like it's a youth club. Loud on quiz nights. Good crack if your with a few friends. Overall local dive sports bar. Too many kids hanging outside. Pizza truck outside new addition.

14/10/2024: Always a warm welcome here. Best team in Fingal. Staff and players are friends and neighbours so it's like a second home.

19/10/2024: Very good food,Large portions and everything fresh.Very clean and nice restaurant.Very nice people working there and very respectful.We definitely will return and try other dishes.Good for families.

08/09/2024: Did not have a good experience with Camille Skerries. I spent over 80 euro on the food and received wrong and incomplete dishes. We were advised a 40/45 minute delivery time for lunch time on a Sunday but the delivery actually took 80 minutes. I ordered katsu curry and got a massaman curry, and it came cold. The special fried rice contained only two prawns, the noodles I ordered with chicken but came without chicken, and the potatoes in the spice bag which is my favourite dish from Camille tasted like the oven/pan they were cooked in.

09/07/2024: Waited 2 hours for a delivery. Won't be ordering from them again.

04/07/2024: 1000 stars! Enjoyed a lovely meal at Bombay Bistro this evening. Everything fresh and accommodating of dietary requirements. Will be going back soon.

10/11/2024: An hour wait for one soda bread sandwich

28/10/2024: 45 minute wait for two sodas, picked it up and the whole thing fell apart in to ten pieces. 3 or 4 staff working and maybe 4 people ahead of us you wouldn’t wait that long in a restaurant for food. Very disappointing.

11/09/2024: Food was just not good. Burrito was cold. Hard dry bacon and sausage. Over cooked Eggs Benedict no sauce. Surly waitress. We are not picky eaters either but very disappointing.
