23/10/2024: My name is Gerard Keane. For 37 years, I was Ireland's National State Offshore Oil & Gas Certifying Engineer for exploration, development and production activities. I regularly visit the Bakers + Baristas café in the Pavilions shopping centre in Swords, County Dublin. I've come to know Ella (Manager), Ioana, Mary, Alina, Fernanda, Jasmine, Rafaela and all the team very well. This review is to record my pleasure in knowing them. They are extremely welcoming, friendly, hard-working and overall very nice ladies, with great personalities and great attitude. Regarding their work, they are a total credit to the café. They are always multi-tasking, without stop: Serving customers at the counter; Clearing vacated tables; Cleaning the floor and seats; Restocking the food and drinks cabinets, etc. Because of their efforts, the café is always in top-class condition, because they are top-class people themselves. I wish them all the very best into the future.

06/04/2025: I ordered two starters and two mains for delivery at the weekend. The overall bill came at 55 euros. The two starters arrived stone cold and soggy, while for my Massaman curry main, I had to look for the tiny pieces of chicken between massive pieces of onions and potatoes. I scored 5 stars to Camile in Swords in the past , however, I cannot back this up after my last order. Unsure whether I will order again if they don't get their shop in order. Really disappointing.

29/11/2024: I used to visit this place often but now the food quality has worsened. Soggy sandwiches. They don't even greet, no smile. Bakery stuff with fungus in the fridge. Would never go there ever again.

26/11/2024: What a beautiful little cafe. Full of gorgeous homemade bakes, sandwiches, great coffee and small amount of food retail. I had a toasted chicken and pesto on sourdough and finally, a toasted sandwich that's crispy and actually hot in the middle. It's devine! I got a few little treats for take away and can't wait to try later with the family. The cafe is dressed with lovely Xmas decs and there's Christmas cheer in the background. Super friendly staff also.. Definitely go if you havnt visited you won't be disappointed. 5 out of 5

03/04/2025: Was almost put off by the "okay" score on Tripadvisor but saw they scored 4.5 / Awesome on OpenTable. Happy we spotted that as the food was fantastic. Not packed for a Friday evening but service was a nice, relaxed pace and atmosphere was friendly and cosy. We both opted for the more expensive premium cut steaks (striploin and fillet) and both were some of the best steaks we've ever had. Shared a starter and desert. Wine, G&T and craft beer reasonably priced. Will be going back!

18/03/2025: Went here for dinner with my wife over the weekend. Steaks were very disappointing for the prices they are charging, only highlight was the duck wings which were nice but would not be pushed to return here.

19/01/2025: Large group dinner at Lalis. Food was excellent and tasty. Service was just what we expected and all of the party had a great night. Would highly recommend.

06/04/2025: This is not a good place for breakfast. On a Sunday morning at 9 am one waitress waited for a table and meal for a very long time. Omelette cold, we did not get coffee until the end of breakfast and they wanted us to pay for it. Food nothing special. Service at a very low level.

05/04/2025: We had an early lunch here with a group of nine people, and overall, it was a great experience! The food was really tasty and well-prepared — everyone found something they enjoyed. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed, with a lot of space to sit outside, which we really appreciated. The only small downside was the wait for the main courses, which took a bit longer than expected. However, the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. They seemed quite new and still learning, but they made a genuine effort to take good care of us, which we definitely noticed. it was a lovely place to enjoy a meal with friends or family — we’d happily come back!

23/10/2024: They allowed my 13yearold and his friends to play pool. What are the staff thinking allowing young people with no parent in the bar use the place like it's a youth club. Loud on quiz nights. Good crack if your with a few friends. Overall local dive sports bar. Too many kids hanging outside. Pizza truck outside new addition.

24/09/2024: Tried ones for d first time and will never go back or recommend to anyone! coffe isn’t taste nice , Taste very sour , noting close to Starbucks or Buttlers or Costa and prices is crazy but the level and quality far isn’t d same ..Void !

16/04/2025: The coffee was perfect before but now isn't half of what it used to be. The staff should pay more attention to the outside area of the cafe! It's dirty, tables and chairs are dirty and there's no trash bin. The cups are all over the place which is a shame. The prices are ok but sweets (they're delicious) could be slightly cheaper. And the location is absolute top notch. Then there's new staff each time.
