An Indian girl Aswathy who works in the shop is the most welcoming and lovely person. Her honest and welcoming smile will definitely brighten your day.

29/08/2025: Mediocre food. Tuna wrap was 12.50, no side salad no garnish. Tuna mayo was very dry and only a scraping of cheese on the wrap. Overpriced for what it was . Toilet cleanliness needs to be improved. There are better cafes in the area.

07/07/2025: I really like Taste of the Med. The menu is expansive, with a specialist menu for health. Every food allergy can be catered for. Coffee is good here. The staff are consistently excellent. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to leave an electronic tip. Only cash, if you happen to have some on you. I hope the management rectify this issue as quickly as possible, it’s completely unfair to the ground staff. Sara was running around making sure everyone was attended to. During a particularly busy day, a concert in the castle day, she was excellent. I could see the frustration of customers when they couldn’t add a tip to their card payment. Those passing through won’t come back with cash to tip a young person. At least I could. I have older kids so this issue really bugs me as they need the money for college life. I missed seeing Kirsten there, she’s another wonderful member of staff from my previous visits!

25/06/2025: Over charged for our food. Pointed out she was charging for a cappuccino we didn’t have and just proceeded anyway Not as nice as it used to be. Extremely disappointed

11/03/2025: The renovation last year was great, and the atmosphere is really nice while watching my kid play tennis. However, I was disappointed to see that the toastie with cheese, which I used to get for my son before practice, was no longer available—only meat options were offered. Also, tables were left dirty for a long time. I hope this place doesn’t deteriorate because it has a lot of potential. Good WiFi, nice place to sit with a laptop.

04/08/2025: I booked the Sunday roast for two and I was very pleased with everything. I took my mum out for the day and wanted to try something a bit more than just your regular pub carvery. To start we got duck wings (which were unbelievable) and crochets, both were to share. The duck wings were one of the best duck dishes I’ve ever eaten and would come back just for them. The crochets were crispy and soft and fluffy on the inside. Now the main event. The roast comes out in a sharing plate with beef, chicken and crispy pork belly stuffed with black pudding. Accompanied by carrots and lovely roast potatoes with sides of mash and cabbage and a lovely gravy. The beef was lovely and pink, the chicken moist and the pork was crispy and soft on the inside. We also got 3 deserts to share, a sticky toffee pudding, an apple crumble and some ice cream with crumble. Most places charge 15-16€ for a carvery but this was a step above and for €28pp for everything it’s great value for money. We left stuffed. Staff were lovely and pleasant. I’ll definitely be back to try the a la cart and definitely for the duck wings again.

11/05/2025: I ordered the pulled pork on a floury bap with side salad and crisps. I asked for the order without the floury bap and this was too much of an ask apparently. I was told there was no price for this order. I could have a salad with chicken or tuna. I explained I wanted the pull pork. I never asked for the price of my meal to be reduced. I said fine I’ll have the order as is. I received the pulled pork and I removed the floury bap myself. Also the crisps which is part of the meal was not provided. I was very surprised by the attitude of the staff as my was request was not very complicated. I have noticed that the service is not great when there is not an owner or senior staff available.
