16/06/2026: These guys are the best. Only once from probably 100 visits the quality was bad. They were very professional and its still on of my favourite places. All staff super friendly and great food. Highly recommend

06/08/2026: Just left the Playwright bar now. My son and I were served lovely food in lovely surroundings by one of the best waitresses we have ever had. Despite being so busy she looked after us very well and was having fun with us and other customers as she went about her business. Her name was Julia. We will definitely be back because she created such a great atmosphere.

25/06/2026: It took me an hour to wait for my food order. I had follow up several times. Very disappointed with the service

02/08/2026: Beautiful breakfast, poached eggs and bacon delish along with avocado and relish. Very reasonably priced.

04/04/2026: Unfortunately after a very long wait for food that didnt arrive we got our money back and left. We queued for about 15 mins to order our breakfast, yes it was busy, but after 20 mins and the coffee gone cold we asked a very nice young waitress if she could check the status of our order as people who had come in after us had been served. She came back and said we should have the food in a few minuites. Another 10 mins later the food still had not arrived, asked the waitress again if she would check. She brought us fresh coffees and said the food should be out in a few mins. After another 10 mins we decided enough was enough and resquested our money back. Very dissapointed ........

25/06/2026: I go here quite regularly after work. Not anymore On numerous occasions the girls behind the till are extremely rude I have gave them the benefit of the doubt in the past because English isnt their fist language. I was the only person waiting for food and the woman behind the till screams my order at me. I say yes that's me. She continues to shout my order at me. To which I reply "yes yes yes" And the woman serving me begins to mock me by saying "yes yes yes" in reply!! I know there is a language barrier here but this is simply rude. Maybe take a few lessons in manners please madam. Other than that the food is very average. So won't be back. Plenty of better quality chippys up the hill

10/08/2026: Disappointing, it used to be a lot better. Portion sizes are much smaller than before, the delivery takes really long. The food was barely warm, it was obvious it was sitting in the car while other orders were being delivered.

07/08/2026: Ordered from here a few times over the last few years and it has always been grand until tonight. 2 hours for delivery and not even an apology when we called to check where it was. Chicken tenders were rubber, chips overcooked. They're clearly run off their feet but they shouldn't take orders if it results in sending out inedible food. Too expensive for what was delivered.

20/06/2026: Myself and my partner got a portion of wings, they were so warm and fresh. Piping hot still when we brought them home! Person serving us was so lovely too, couldn’t recommend more! We’ll deffo be back!

08/03/2026: Got 2 burgers and truffle fries. Ordered for delivery and it arrived 25 minutes later. Burgers were the nicest we have tasted in Swords! Couldn't talk, just wanted to keep eating and nod my head every few bites. 10/10! Everything was so fresh and the chips were still piping hot and not soggy like I thought they'd be getting a delivery. Didn't have time to get a picture cause we milled it! Will definitely be a returning customer

14/06/2026: I ordered beef fried rice from them around 10:45pm- 11pm, asking them would they be able to deliver it to my house like leave it outside as I won’t be home from work until 1am. They were very attentive and making sure about everything as well. The only thing that I think it’s not good is that the beef fried rice is a little bit bland. Other than that everything is good. Either way , I’m very grateful and thank you for doing it for me.

01/07/2026: 15.50 for a small bottle of coke and a fresh cod. Hadn't the decency to throw in one or two chips. Chippers in rush and balbriggan much better. Has to be the most expensive chipper in dublin. 5 euro for a bag of chips and a whopping 12.50 for a fish on its own. Daylight robbery.

09/08/2026: Thought we’d give this place a try after receiving a menu through the letterbox. In hindsight, the menu should probably have stayed in the letterbox. We ordered black bean crispy chicken and egg fried rice as the mains, along with a few starters. And this is where the regrets began… and continued… and, frankly, multiplied. The chicken balls were undercooked, with batter that appeared to have been filled with water rather than cooked properly. The prawn toast was less “prawn toast” and more “toast that had once heard rumours about prawns”. The black bean sauce was strangely chewy — not a quality normally associated with sauce. The crispy chicken was suspiciously un-chicken-like in both appearance and flavour. At this stage, questions were being asked and trust was rapidly disappearing. Then came the egg fried rice — delivered in what can only be described as a compact rubber brick. It looked more boiled than fried and had the consistency of something that had been dropped from a height and then reassembled. By the end of the meal, we were no longer eating dinner — we were conducting a culinary investigation. Without question, the worst Chinese takeaway experience we’ve ever had. What started as “let’s give the new place a try” quickly became “why on earth did we do that?” Hopefully this review saves someone else from making the same mistake. Avoid. Avoid. AVOID. Your stomach, your taste buds and your future self will thank you.

22/02/2026: I got a spicebag today and it was unbelievable, the curry sauce was amazing and the food was ready for collection quickly. Will definitely be back for more again🙌
