The best restaurants in Fingal

04/04/2024: We spent 4 nights at the Maldron Parnell Square Hotel. The location is ideal, 15-20 minutes walk from the center. A bus stop is a minute's walk from the hotel. The bus that brought us from the airport dropped us off there. Very warm welcome at the hotel, clean and comfortable room. We could hear the street from our room. The breakfast is exceptional!!!! Really good and very varied: savory side: Sausages, fried egg, grilled tomatoes, white beans in tomato sauce, mushrooms.... On the sweet side: several types of bread, croissants, chocolatines, cakes, cereals, porridge on request and so on! We had dinner 2 evenings at the hotel, very good, however, although there were not many people, the service was long!! More than half an hour waiting for a dish... too bad. Otherwise nothing to complain about! I recommend!

03/04/2024: Good quality. Good service. Good breakfast. Good location. Next time I just have to remember to bring my own brush for the toilet for 1 euro. ; ) (Suggestion for improvement checked?) ---- Addition to the review after last evening. I tried the bar and discovered that it was a bar without a trained bartender, who spent 10 minutes struggling with the consistency of the cocktail in the mixer after studying the operating instructions for the Strawberry Daiquiri. (That's what happens when you only mix ice cream with rum and syrup)... then it was difficult to spoon the whole thing out of the mixer. Has anyone seen a barman take the entire cocktail out of the mixer with a spoon because it won't pour out and is stuck in the mixer? At least there was a free drink as compensation.

27/03/2024: I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant after living in malahide for over a year. We ordered the baby ribs, wings and goats cheese for starters. The winged were decent, the ribs were well cooked how however the sauce definitely came from a bottle, the goats cheese felt like it came from a frozen packet! For mains we ordered the chicken wrapped in bacon, chicken jambalaya and the seafood linguine. The chicken and back wrap had the texture of a bouncy ball, the jambalaya and the linguine had obviously came from two late over heated pots and most definitely not freshly cooked. Most definitely the worst meal we have had in malahide in year. Don’t be fooled by the reasonably priced wine, it was just as bad. Stay away!

04/03/2024: Wouldn't recommend this place again never normally critize restaurants but need to leave this comment. The waiter was very rude and he was impatient. We hardly had a drink and wanted our order and we could hear him shouting abuse at another member of staff The food was lovely but the experience was not so will not be returning

05/04/2024: Food eventually turned up, place was less than 50% capacity, order was simple. Had managed to run out of cutlery, so I'm given a child-size fork I can barely hold. Coffee turned up 5 mins after I'd finished eating. Seemed to be plenty of staff so I'd hate to see what it's like at busy times / peak season! Edit: Just finished coffee, and that wasn't as I'd ordered. Didn't have the time or energy to deal with staff to get the correct drink! Tip: Don't tip! Especially when ordering via QR code App. Wait until you've actually received your order.

05/04/2024: The place was Absoulty filthy, tables all pilled up with food, dirty dishes. I had to clean a table myself, to have a seat.

31/03/2024: Even when was lots of good tables available( they were still empty when we left) we got corner table.

26/03/2024: Had brunch with the girls. A lovely place with great views of the sea. Food delicious, service very good. Will definitely be returning.

01/04/2024: We usually order from here, food is tasty and a decent portion. I love the burgers and my husband usually takes spicy wings that make him sweat 😄 we also got a complimentary slices of cake that was delicious!

13/02/2024: This place very danger. Walking on the road was get hit by golf balls. My friends and me want to know about the course.I was hit by the ball and the manager told me that I couldn't walking on Path, because I was not a member. 😱

21/12/2023: This course has been on my radar for a long time as I had heard and read so many good reviews saying it was amazing. First impressions did not disappoint. The club house looks great and the staff were very friendly and they deserve 5 stars. My 3 star review is based only on the course. The first few holes played well but the greens were very poor. Any where around the hole had deep footprints which made putting a lottery as the ball could go anywhere. If you were off the fairway especially on the back 9 it was very boggy and made finding your ball a challenge. There was placing everywhere and we found sometimes you were taking yards rather then inches to find a dry spot. The greens did not get any better through out the round as any of the slopes on the greens were realty soft and borderline unplayable. Yes it was winter golf but for a golf club that I had heard so much about I expected better. We went in for food afterwards and once again staff were excellent and food was good and good value. On the drive home I asked myself would I play it again and the answer took me a while. I would go back but only in the summer and I would look for a deal as my experience did not justify the green fee.
