07/08/2025: A good option for eating near the beach. The food was good. There were limited non-alcoholic beer options (only Heineken), and the "cafe cortado" (coffee with a little milk) was difficult to understand. The girl spoke extremely fast, making it difficult to follow her.

19/07/2024: We get pizza therapy every Friday and it’s amazing. The pizza itself is so so good (BBQ chicken is a fav) and the lady on phone is always so friendly and pleasant. Amazing service and food. Well worth trying it you have not.

15/07/2024: The pizza was unreal! The breakdown as follows - Service - is excellent and so accommodating, we wanted less cheese more sauce and that was no issue at all! We weren’t left waiting ages and the seating was very convenient. Pricing was very fair, it’s a great pizza for a great price and probably the cheapest therapy you’ll get 😂 The pizza dough is second to none, so light and fluffy ! You don’t feel all slumpy afterward which was a nice surprise. The sauce was delicious, cheese was deadly and the ratio was on point. Go , go now!

03/09/2025: *Edit* The reply from management is disappointing. Reached out as per their request below; received zero response. Appears that anyone who complains receives a cut and paste response of fake concern. For the hotel room itself, the 2 rooms we were given both had water damage/odour issues. The corners of the walls were swollen and moldy, and the rooms stank of mold/damp/sewage. The first room was so bad we asked them to switch us to another. The 2nd room was a few doors down, and while not as bad, it wasn't good either. Rooms were located on the 1st floor. Regarding the staff, most were wonderful (with the exception of the door man at the Italian restaurant, he was condescending and rude). The female concierge (maybe german or austrian?) who checked us in and helped us switch rooms was lovely. Very accommodating and helpful. I remember her from my stay the previous year. A gentleman named Ionut was working the main bar/ restaurant that night. He was incredible. His knowledge of the menu and local beer was outstanding. We ordered the tofu dip, and he suggested we add tapenade to round out the flavours. Without the suggestion of the tapenade, and a few olives, that dish would have been inedible (only whipped tofu and no seasoning?). He essentially created a whole new appetizer that I would willingly eat on a daily basis, it was that good.

02/09/2025: I have to say, everything was really lovely. The room was spotless, the bed was super comfortable, I was thinking if you decided to sleep here after a long flight, the curtains were really heavy. The staff were lovely too. The shuttle bus was there for me both arriving and departing (I don't know if I was just lucky) but overall I'd not hesitate to stay here again.

05/08/2025: As a group we were not impressed with this restaurant. The waiter was unhelpful when we asked about gluten-free options. He kept telling us to scan bar code to check dietary guide, even though we told him that some of the options were not on the list. It ended up we couldn't order dessert because he wouldn't check in the kitchen fo our request of gluten-free options. He also kept coming over to our table during our meal, and twice tried to take dishes away from 2 of our group even though they weren't finished. Food was ok.

02/08/2025: Very tasty food at reasonable prices given the cost of eating out. Service was also very good with us never having to wait for anything. It's the sort of place I would visit again.

12/08/2025: When there are a lot of people here, the food is not good, but when there are few buyers, it is pure poetry for the palate, delicious.

02/08/2025: Found they have gluten free fish and chips so we made the trip and it didn't disappoint. Large portion of chips was served with the fish, and it was all fantastic. The tartar sauce was very good. There was a little wait for the meal but it was made fresh!

27/08/2025: Cupcakes and Counting is an absolute gem in Swords! The coffee and matcha are always perfect, and I can never resist their heavenly strawberry cheesecake – it’s honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. Jay and Jenny are such wonderful people, and every time I visit I feel so welcomed and uplifted by their warmth and kindness. I also love how comfortable it feels to simply take a moment for myself here – whether I want to catch up on some work or just pause and breathe. This place isn’t just about amazing cakes and drinks, it’s about the atmosphere they’ve created – cozy, friendly, and full of heart. Highly recommended! 🌸✨

23/08/2025: I couldn't recommend Cupcakes and Counting enough, whether its for your special day, or to make your day more special. Jen & Jay made our wedding cake years ago, and we came back almost a decade later for another taste - it truly didn't disappoint (which is lucky, so the memory is even better now) but more than that, both of them are truly wonderful and lovely.

17/08/2025: Just had a beautiful meal for my daughters birthday everything was good staff were very good and the food was very tasty I’ll be back again soon.

06/08/2025: We had a very good dinner, the food was excellent, and the service was excellent. They made room for our baby without any problem. We found the prices a little pricey considering the portion sizes. But it's a place where you enjoy eating.

17/05/2025: A great and very inspiring restaurant in Skerries (beautiful town north of Dublin) . First time I saw it, while walking by, it inspired me to make a drawing (see it attached). The second time, while having a pizza and a pasta dish with my wife, it confirmed my first inspiring moment (see the second drawing). The inspiring place was well supported with a very high quality simple food (real Italian style). When I meet his owner (John) everything was clear: Simplicity, sensitivity and love for things well done.
