31/01/2026: Ordered from here Friday evening. Unfortunately the sweet and sour chicken wasn’t good. The chicken had a tough, stringy texture and the sauce tasted flat and overly sweet. Won’t be ordering again.

28/01/2026: I am eating from here since 2019 and every time it’s so tasty and fresh, maybe this is the 3rd time give a 5 star in last 7 year, the food is outstanding and so yummy……never had a bad meal here well done.

27/12/2025: This, a quitebigger pub is welcoming you with an inviting and warm atmosphere. The decoration is absolutely unique. It attracts a mixed crowd, predominantly older but with some younger faces too. With plenty of screens, it's a great spot to catch a game and chat with friends. Parking is a breeze, right across the road at the village castle car park. And the pints and beers? Top-notch. The staff is friendly. Will definitely be back.

19/12/2025: Food is lovely, and staff are friendly when they come to you. Slow service, wouldn't recommend coming here if you're in a rush. Very few staff in the lower area and you end up having to wait a while if you sit there

05/04/2026: I don't often get takeaways but when I do I go to shallots the food is unreal today I got the chicken madras and my husband got chicken jalfrzi the flavours are amazing I've tried other Indian takeaways and not one of them come near I would highly recommend this restaurant and also piping hot when my husband picked it up

18/03/2026: Won’t be in a rush to come back. Their prices versus food quality ratio makes no sense. The starter vegetarian “platter” consisted of a 2-by-2-inch piece of paneer cheese, a potato cake smaller than a golf ball, and one broccoli floret that looked like it had been stolen from the current notorious school meals scheme. The green peas in the veg main (Subz Miloni) looked ready to break into a chorus of “It’s a sad, sad situation,” as Elton would say. I get that everyone wants to make money, but there should be some sort of limit. Three-star review only because the staff were nice — otherwise, it would’ve been one star.

28/12/2025: Here for a friend's father's Funeral. Really nice pub and very friendly staff. Food was your run of the mill fair. Didn't try the Guinness as I was driving. Pint of coke with ice was €3.80 . So not too bad really

22/03/2026: Gorgeous food, seem to have a new menu now and it was amazing. Got the chicken pot pie and the roast dinner, sticky toffee pudding and bread and butter pudding and it was all amazing. Probably the nicest bread and butter pudding I've had. Staff are lovely too.
